Rollerskating
A/N: OMG! I looked on this book to create a new part and guess what! WE HAVE OVER 1K VIEWS ON THIS BOOK! * Internally Squeals* Thank you guys SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO much! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I'm so sorry for not updating in a while, it slipped my mind. For a month. More like I didn't have any inspiration.
Also, I sort of gave up on the ring, so, I now have a replacement for it, so enjoy!
This was based on an experience that I had earlier this month, so it's mostly going to be based off of that.
Also, we're pretending that all the nectar of immortality Aruden-ness didn't happen (But the city of gold kiss did😉)
Aru sighed. The whole senior grade was going to a roller-skating rink for a graduation party, but Aru sucked at skating.
You'd think if you could save the world, you'd be able to roller skate.
Mini had recently joined in Augustus Day high school, along with Brynne. The twins were in their sophomore year at Augustus Day too.
Mini also sucked at roller skating. It made Aru feel partially better about the situation.
Brynne was an absolute pro at it, and she never let them forget that.
Aiden was around the same level as Brynne was.
Some people, think you'd be excited to roller skate. Some people definitely were, while some were definitely not.
For example, Mini, who was freaking out at the fact they'd be renting out used roller skates, which according to Mini "Is completely unsanitary! I can't believe they let people do that!". Mini forced her and Aru to get their own skates from the store, which cost way too much for comfort.
The day of trip, they had a police escort (Because their teachers were somehow nice enough to do that), which meant that the bus was practically just gliding through the roads, and everyone else was just clearing the path for them. "This feels like we're royalty" Aru remarked. "Definitely" Brynne agreed. Mini was barely even sitting down on the seat because "Who knows how many people have sat her and put their germs on this seat!"
Ten minutes later, they had gotten to the roller-skating arena. The group of high schoolers sat down to put on their skates. Aru had managed to put hers on first, and then started stand up, the railing supporting her. Oh, to Boo's sake, this is so unbalanced Aru thought. "To Boo's sake? When'd you start saying that?" Brynne asked. DAMMIT! Aru's inside voice had become her outside voice again. Aru looked down and blushed after her mind processed Brynne's question. Aiden had said it once, and since then, Aru had started using it in her mind.
She and Aiden hadn't talked properly since sophomore year, ever since the birthday incident...
Aru pushed that thought to the back of her mind. "Nowhere" She lied. Then she realized something. "I'M TALLER THAN YOU ALL" She shouted in victory. Then Aiden stood up. "Aw, come on," She groaned in defeat.
Brynne stood up and grabbed her arm. "Come on! I'm going to teach you how to skate, so I have someone to skate with!" She said while dragging her onto the rink. "Brynne, this is by far one of the worst ideas you've ever had! Why can't you just skate with Wifey over there?". "He's too busy hanging with his guy friends, now come on!"
Brynne pulled Aru along as she skated. "Too fast Brynne! Too fast! You call this teaching! You're a horrible teacher!" It was fair to say that Aru had screamed more that day than any other day in her life.
Eventually, Brynne actually decided to teach Aru, and they were having a pretty good time.
Until the guy who controlled the speakers Rick-Rolled them. (A/N: This actually happened, it was hilarious 😂)
Brynne rolled her eyes and decided she was going to go get some food, and then called Aiden over ( he wasn't talking to his guy friends) to continue helping Aru. Aru burst into protest against her soul sister, but all Brynne did was mutter to her "You'll thank me later,", and proceeded to push Aru toward Aiden. And because she was wearing skates, she rolled over to him, and couldn't stop, so that was a truly embarrassing moment.
She got up (she had fallen), and brushed herself off, muttering curses against Brynne. "You okay Shah?" Aiden asked. Aru glanced up at him. How dare he look somewhat decent in that hoodie?
"Yeah, I'm fine,". Aru replied. "You can go back to your friends, Imma go sit down,". Aru mentally slapped herself. Did she really just do that? Vajra zapped her (as if it couldn't believe it as well) but Aru sent the electricity through her veins back into the bracelet (A little tricked she learned) before it could make her hair all frizzy. "Sure, I guess," Aiden said. She scooted toward to benches as Aiden went back to his friends. (A/N: I couldn't write anymore of Aru's suffering😂)
~~~~~~~~~~
"Shah, huh?" Percy, one of Aiden's friends teased. Aiden flushed and looked down "I don't like her," he said.
"Really? Your body language is saying the exact opposite," Ryan commented, joining in with the teasing.
"You guys are so rude. Fine. I'll admit it. I like her. Are you happy now?" Aiden said.
"You realize you just have indulged yourself in teasing for the rest of your life, unless, of course, you fess up," Brynne said, her and Mini skating up beside him.
Aiden groaned in defeat. "And you guys wonder why I pay more attention to Shadowfax than you!".
Brynne just grinned and said "I know. It's my specialty annoying you. It's so easy and fun!".
"Agreed" Echoed from other group members.
Aiden put his hands up in a surrender. "Sometimes I wonder how I became friends with you guys,".
"Sometimes I wonder how I became friends with you guys, come on Wifey, come up with better come backs!" Brynne mocked. Mini hid a laugh as a cough, and quickly put sanitizer on her hands.
"Wifey? Never heard that one before," Ryan commented.
"That's a long story you don't want to hear," Aiden sighed.
"Aru made it for him" Mini staged whispered to the others as the others burst into another round of laughter.
"You guys just enjoy my suffering, don't you?" Aiden said.
"What are they bugging you about?" Aru said, somewhat skating up to them, grabbing onto Mini and Aiden for balance.
"Nothing!" Aiden said quickly, his cheeks tinting pink.
"Okay..." Aru said, narrowing her eyes at him, but nevertheless dropping the subject. "Anyways, can I join the Aiden teasing?".
"YES! We're teasing Aiden about his crush! We need to do it!" Jason said.
Aru looked disappointed for a moment, but then erased the look completely and said "Ooh! Well for that, I need to know who it is!" Aru said.
"No, you don't!"
"Fine! I get to ask questions to figure it out though!"
"No!"
"20 questions!"
"Do it. I'll answer them for you," Brynne said.
"Okay... Do I know them?"
"Yes, actually,"
"Are they in this group?"
"Yes"
"Whoa, this is getting way to close!" Aiden said.
Aru pondered. It couldn't be her, Mini or Brynne so...
"NO! Don't tell me! Aiden! You're Gay?!"
"NO! Why would I- you know what, nope. You guys are impossible,"
"So, it would be Brynne, Mini or me. Mini has Rudy, Brynne has a crush Hira, so... me?"
"BINGO!" Brynne shouted. Aru froze. Aiden looked at the floor.
"I like you too..." Aru muttered. Aiden looked up at her.
"Dude, I think this is the first time I've ever contributed to making two people confess to each other," Jason whispered to Percy, loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Wow, way to ruin a perfectly good moment of the effects of Matchmaker Brynne!" Brynne said. Aru and Aiden blushed.
"Matchmaker Brynne? Really? That was the best thing you could come up with?" Aru asked.
"At least it's better than being completely oblivious, unlike two people here!"
"At least now I confessed! Which, I haven't heard anything about you confessing to Hira!"
"Look, I'm going to break this conversation up before anything drastic happens," Aiden said, grabbing Aru's hand.
"You weren't even the one who confessed to me, you idiot!" Aru said, elbowing him, but nevertheless, not letting go of his hand.
A/N: FINALLY! AN UPDATE! AFTER A MONTH!
I'll try to update quicker with part three of the Gala. Bye!
