The second attempt

Oh yeah I forgot to say that in this, Echo has both hands, his legs, and his hair. The Techno Union Never got ahold of him, so he never met the Bad Batch.

Tw: Needles, violence, threats, anxiety, drugs (As in medication. No one takes any spice), slight language, death.

~Rex~

I turned the comm off and ended my conversation with Ahsoka. I sighed and turned to Echo with a grim smile.

"Still nothing?" Echo questioned.

"Still nothing," I confirmed.

Echo groaned and rubbed at his face. "I can't handle this. We don't know where she is, or what's happening to her."

"I know Echo!" I snapped before quickly backtracking. "I'm sorry, I'm just stressed. If we don't get her back soon, I hate to think what condition we'll find her in."

My comm buzzed and I checked it.

"It's Amita!" I told Echo. "I wonder what's happened now."

"Rex?" Amita weakly said.

"Amita?" I looked to Echo, worried.

"Hi Rex!" Amita giggled. "Heeeey Rex."

"Amita, are you okay?" I furrowed my brow.

"Yeah!" Amita giggled again. "Tech gave me a looooooot of meds."

"Tech?" Echo whispered to me. "Who's that?"

"One of her captors," I whispered back before addressing Amita again. "Amita, is someone drugging you?"

"Yup," Amita laughed hysterically. "He says I'm sick!"

"What?" I panicked. "You're sick?"

"Yeah!" Amita said. "But I feel fine!"

"That's the drugs Amita," Echo facepalmed.

Amita gasped dramatically. "I've been drugged?"

"We just discussed this!" I reminded her.

"No we didn't!" Amita argued.

"Yes we did!" Echo backed me up.

Amita grunted angrily. "You're just as annoying as them! They even said I was bugging them and to comm you! They told me to bother you instead!"

"They told you to comm us?" My eyes widened.

"Yeah," Amita boredly said. "They're watching to make sure I don't say anything stupid."

"They're listening right now?" I asked.

"Mhm," Amita hummed. "They wanna make sure I don't tell you we're on Daros-"

I shuffling sound and low voices that we couldn't make out came from the comm. Echo and I shared a worried look.

"Amita?" Echo ran a hand through his hair. "Amita!"

The connection ended.

"What happened?" Echo looked up at me.

"She accidentally told us they're on Daros, and they turned it off," I assumed. "We know where she is! Start the ship!"

Echo nodded and started up the engines. I sat in the seat next to him and had my helmet in my lap.

"We're really doing this?" Echo looked to me to confirm.

"What, you want to leave her there?" I raised my eyebrows.

"No I'm just surprised you don't want backup," Echo flicked a switch.  "You're not even going to call Ahsoka?"

"There's no time," I shook my head. "They most likely know we're coming."

"Alright," Echo pulled the lever to send the ship into hyperdrive.

~Amita~

I kicked my feet wildly and pulled away from Tech. He rolled his eyes and grabbed my arm, turning me to face him.

"Amita, stop struggling," Hunter ordered. "You wanted our help, this is how you're going to get it."

"I don't like needles!" I whined. "They make me pass out."

"It's not the needle that makes you pass out, you work yourself up with anxiety leading up to it," Tech lectured. "Don't overthink it."

"Too late," I hyperventilated.

"Amita calm down," Hunter crossed his arms. "We can't help you if you're panicking."

"You got bitten by a venomous snake!" Wrecker comforted me. "You can handle a needle!"

I smiled thankfully at him, his kind words fuelling my confidence. "Thank you Wrecker."

"This needle contains a drug that will help your body recover," Tech informed me as he rolled up my sleeve.

"Hold still while he stabs you with it," Crosshair chuckled.

I glared at him and tugged my arm away from Tech again, but he flicked my nose and grabbed it again. I hugged and rolled around on the floor.

"You're being very unhelpful!" Tech seized me again and sat me back down on the chair. "Hold still before I accidentally poke your jugular with this."

"I don't like needles!" I whined and moved my shoulder away from him.

"Neither do we but we suck it up!" Crosshair hissed and grabbed my shoulders, holding me in place for Tech. "Now hold still before I knock you out and inject you then."

Tech pressed the needle into my skin, and I watched as he injected me. A tear rolled down my face, and the edges of my vision were turning black.

"I- I don't," my eyes fluttered as I struggled to stay conscious. "Wha- I..."

"Oh dear," Tech watched me. "She's passing out."

"No'm not," I slurred.

"Yes you are," Tech said.

The darkness was receding, and I used my energy to flip Tech off. "Told you I wasn't passing out."

"Uh huh," Tech threw the used needle out. "Now go sleep."

"You're not the boss of me," I stuck my tongue out at him.

"I am," Hunter interjected. "Go sleep. I'm done with dealing with you."

"I'm done dealing with you!" I giggled.

"Aaand shes going delirious again," Crosshair rolled his eyes and left the room. "I'm not doing this again. Bye."

I started having a staring contest with the wall, and I knew I could beat it. I could do this.

"Amita."

"What?" I asked without looking from the wall.

"We need to talk," Hunter ominously said.

"Ssssh I'm going to win," I hushed him.

"Win what?" Wrecker curiously asked.

I blinked. "Ugh I lose!"

"Great so now we can talk," Hunter dryly said. "Get over here."

I turned to face him and sat next to him. He sighed heavily and looked up at the ceiling  before speaking.

"I want you to be part of this squad," Hunter said.

"Well I told you I didn't want any part of this shit show," I firmly said.

"I know that, but this is me asking you instead of making you," Hunter rubbed his temple tiredly. "I've been ordered to make you part of this squad, whether you like it or not."

"Well I don't like it," I stubbornly said.

"Then you understand that I gave you an easy way out of this? You could just play along and join the empire?" Hunter's emotions were doubt and guilt. "You understand that I'd have to send you to imperial reconditioning?"

I froze at his words.

Even in my fevered and delirious state, I could still tell how serious this was.

Reconditioning.

The word a clone always dreaded to hear.

"What would that entail?" I quietly asked.

"You keep your memories. It's different from the Kaminoan reconditioning in that sense," Hunter said just as quietly.

I was stuck, torn between a terrible choice and a shitty choice.

I could choose to go against my morales and willingly join the empire, to kill innocents, or I could be stubborn and face whatever horrors they had in store for me.

"I will never willingly join the empire," I whispered, my mind made up.

Hunter shook his head. "You stupid rebel."

Wrecker got up sadly and left the room, Tech following behind him. Hunter shot me a disappointed look before going after them.

I rocked myself back and forth, and wondering what I had gotten myself into. I wanted to go home. I wanted to hear Echo's annoying snoring, and be lectured by Rex for being too reckless.

I missed them.

I missed my home.

I was growing drowsy as whatever Tech gave me kicked in. My eyes slowly drooped shut and I fell asleep.

A was woken by the door sliding open and two stormtroopers waking in. They stood there sinisterly.

"The kark ya want?" I closed my eyes again.

"Amita?" The one on the left asked.

"Yeah that's me. Now kriff off," I responded.

The one on the right chuckled.

"What's so funny?" I glared at the one that laughed.

They both took off their helmets, revealing Echo and Rex.

"You- you guys came for me?" I stood up, wobbling.

"Woah," Echo sturdied me. "What happened to you?"

"Got bitten by a snake!" I bragged. "I'm poisoned!"

"What?" Rex exclaimed. "How did that happen?"

"Oh they were testing me on some planet," I waved my hand, the motion throwing me off balance so I fell onto Rex. "I'm fine though."

"I don't think you are," Rex heaved me back into my feet.

"Nah, I'm totally fine," I poked his nose.

"Let's go before anyone finds the bodies we took the armour from," Echo chimed in.

"Good idea," Rex nodded and put his helmet back on. "Amita, pretend we're transporting you somewhere."

"That's so smart!" I gushed.

Echo snorted and slipped his helmet on as well, following Rex out of the cell. Rex and Echo walked on either side of me as we went down the halls.

We finally got to a turbolift, and got inside of it. Echo pressed the button for the floor that led to the exit. A stormtrooper was already in it, and they just nodded at Rex and Echo.

"Where're you taking her?" They asked conversationally.

"Interrogation," Echo grunted, but didn't turn to face them.

"Ah," the stormtrooper nodded. "I pity the poor thing."

"You know I'm right here right?" I scowled at them.

They ignored me.

"Where's she from?" They asked.

"What?" Rex's helmet turned in their direction.

"Y'know, where as she captured?" The stormtrooper said.

"Endor," Echo briefly said.

"I hate that place," the stormtrooper groaned. "Those little teddy bear things are terrifying."

"Uh huh," Echo monotoned.

The lift dinged and the doors slid open. The stormtrooper walked toward out of the lift.

"This is my stop. Pleasure talking with you," they waved.

"Bye," Rex didn't wave back.

Echo huffed and pressed the button again. Just as the doors were sliding shut, a hand stopped the doors from closing.

Crosshair stepped into the turbolift.

I shuffled behind Echo, hiding my face from Crosshair's view.

He pressed a button and stood next to Rex.

He glanced up at Rex and Echo for a second before rolling his eyes and turning away from them, chewing on a toothpick. Echo discreetly stepped in front of me more, understanding that I wanted to stay hidden.

The ride was awkward, and we only made it one floor before the doors opened, and I let out a sigh of relief that Crosshair was leaving.

He didn't get off, and instead, Tech got on.

"Hello," Tech greeted Crosshair. "Have you spoken to Hunter? He was looking for you."

"I did. I just finished the acme back from talking with him actually," Crosshair nodded. "He told me Amita was gone."

"Oh?" Tech said  in surprise.

"The door was left open too, so we think someone let her out," Crosshair told Tech.

Tech hummed thoughtfully. "Who could it have been?"

"That's what we're trying to figure out," Crosshair shifted his weight to one foot.

Tech sighed and hit the button that would stop the lift, turning to Crosshair with a tired expression. "Are we done with your game?"

Crosshair shrugged. "I guess if you want."

Tech and Crosshair's gazes slid right to where I was standing. I yelped and ducked behind Echo more.

"Come on out Amita," Tech demanded.

I sheepishly moved out from behind Echo and felt Rex put a hand on my shoulder. Echo silently pulled his blaster from his belt and kept his finger on the trigger.

"What do you think you're pulling Amita?" Crosshair crossed his arms. "Did you really think we hadn't noticed you? You promised to not escape anymore."

"Yes but this is a rescue, not an escape," I corrected him. "I didn't say anything about rescues."

Crosshair punched Echo's head, sending him against the wall. I grabbed Crosshair's head and slammed him against the lift's wall.

Tech grabbed me by the waist and slammed the button to open the door, whisking me out of the lift. I elbowed his stomach to make him to release me, but his armour protected him.

"Amita!" Rex yelled as Tech tackled me to the floor.

I slammed by knee between Tech's legs, then rolled him off me. Crosshair winced, before punching Echo again.

Rex raised his blaster to shoot Crosshair, but a sudden clearing of Tech's throat made him froze. Tech wrapped his arms around my waist, forcing me to the wall.

"I'd recommend you put the blaster down," Tech coldly said, before pressing his blaster into my neck. "Now."

Rex stayed still, keeping his blaster aimed at Crosshair's heart.

"Do you want me to shoot her?" Tech asked. "Because I'll gladly do it."

Rex's finger twitched on the trigger before he lowered his weapon. Echo did the same, putting his on the ground.

"I don't know who the kriff you are, but you're a fool of you think it's that easy to fool the empire," Crosshair sneered and stepped to Tech's side. "Now our your hands up."

Rex sighed. "Sorry Amita. We'll try this again. I promise."

And he threw a shock grenade, making Crosshair, Tech, and I spasm and twitch wildly on the ground. Echo tried to pick me up, but Rex shook his head.

"I hate it as much as you do, but we've been compromised. The only way out is in our disguise, and we don't have one for her."

Echo  gave me a pitying look before stepping past me to join Rex. I saw them jog away, leaving me behind.

That made me sad. :'(

But I promise it'll get better, and when have I ever made a story sad?

*Remembers one shots and other books*

Yeaaaah forget I said that
