The prisoner again

To that one person who I chat with in person and who knows about my account but doesn't know who I am: if you're reading this, HOW DID YOU FIND ME?!?
And if you haven't and will never, BAHAHA I TOLD YOU YOU'D NEVER FIND MY ACCOUNT

If you are not that person, don't worry about this, it's meant for this one person who told me they'd figure out which person on wattpad I was, even though there are like, billions of people here.

Edit: Why did I jinx myself?

Tw: Violence, insults, calling people weak and worthless

~Crosshair~

I adjusted the scope of my weapon as I stared through it, watching the girl we had just tracked through the woods. And by we, I mean Hunter tracked her while we followed.

She looked exactly as Tech had described, except for her swollen ankle and pain stricken face. That's what she gets for running form the empire though.

Long live the empire.

I lifted my head from my rifle when Tech settled next to me on the boulder I had chosen. He peered through the plants blocking his view to look at the girl.

She had black hair and dark skin, with a scar that went across her neck. She had green eyes and a bit of a crooked nose, from what I assumed to be a broken nose that wasn't set correctly.

"Why haven't we just brought her in already?" I asked.

"Hunter wants to see what her plan from here is," Tech fiddled with his pistol. "He is interested to learn how she thinks."

I rolled my eyes and sighed, turning back to watching her for any sudden movements. She had woken up a couple minutes ago and was stretching out her ankle.

"You said she's a clone. Why does she look different than us?" I questioned, looking to Tech for the answer.

"Females appearances vary from that of a male. They often have breasts and lack-" I cut him off with a dirty look.

"You know what I mean."

Tech huffed. "You were not specific with your inquiry. How was I to know what you wanted to hear when you word it so vaguely?"

"Just answer the question," I snapped.

"She is not a clone of Jango Fett. Her origins are uncertain to me, as they are not stated in her file," Tech said, and I nodded, satisfied with that answer.

At that moment, she pulled something from her boot.

"What's that?" I asked.

"Her comm," Tech answered. "We left it on her to see who was at the other end. We listened in on a conversation with someone named Rex."

I mulled it over for a minute before snapping my finger. "Wasn't that the name of one of the regs? The blonde one?"

"CT-7567?" Tech frowned. "The captain of the 501st legion? It is possible that he could be the one she is working with since they worked together during the war."

I smiled smugly, having figured something out that he couldn't have. Tech saw my expression and glared at me.

"Do not act so proud. There is a high likelihood that you are wrong at that she is in contact with someone else named Rex," Tech pointed out. "Or it could be a code name."

The girl played with her comm for a bit more before putting it back in her boot, and I wondered why she had taken it out in the first place.

"This has been long enough. Bring her in," Hunter spoke as he walked up behind us.

"Want me to stun her?" I asked.

Hunter shook his head. "Don't want to risk it. She's been stunned recently already and her ankle is messed up. Who knows what could happen."

"I know!" Tech raised his hand.

Hunter ignored him. "Let's just go down there."

I followed Hunter down to the cave, ready to finally meet what I had been told was the newest member of our squad.

~Amita~

I sighed as I glowered at my swollen ankle, angry at it. It hurt a karking lot.

A snap of a twig made my head snap up to the entrance of the cave, but I didn't see anything. I looked around for a weapon of some kind, grabbing the nearest rock I could find.

"Is there anyone there?" I called out. "Be warned, I have a stone and I could use it to hurt you."

"A stone?" Tech raised an eyebrow as he stepped into my view. "Is that supposed to be threatening?"

"You bet it is," I lifted my chin. "Do you know what I can do with this?"

"No, but I would like to know. I could add it to your file," Tech eagerly said.

"I could smash your skull in!" I boasted.

Tech blinked. "That is... graphic."

"I like it," a silver haired man smiled eerily as he entered the cave. "It sends a clear message."

"Yeah!" I agreed. "A message to back the kriff off!"

"Hi!" A burly man greeted me as he walked forward into my sight, making me wonder how many of them there were hiding there. "I'm Wrecker!"

"Nice to meet you," I smiled kindly at him. "You're my favourite."

"Aw yeah!" Wrecker pumped his fist.

The silver haired man stepped forward and crouched next to me. "She's weaker than I expected."

"Excuse me?" I glared at him. "I can kick your shebs any time I wish!"

"And how is a twisted ankle going to help us?" He continued speaking like I wasn't right in front of his face. "Weak."

"Believe me Crosshair, she's not weak," Hunter grimaced and rubbed at his abdomen where I had punched him.

"How many of you people are there?" I demanded and tried to peek around them to see if there was anyone else waiting to make a dramatic entrance.

"What do you suppose the scar is from?" Crosshair grabbed my face up tilted my chin up to point at the scar on my neck.

"Let go!" I smacked his hand away and wobbly stood up on one foot.

"Just grab her and we can go back," Hunter turned away from us, walking next to Tech out of the cave.

Tech sighed and went to grab me, so I swiftly nabbed a pistol from his waist and held it to his neck, ready to shoot. Everyone else quickly raised their own weapons, glaring at me.

"Put the blaster down," Hunter ordered.

"You put your blaster down," I tightened my hold around Tech and pressed the pistol further into his neck.

"Amita," Hunter slowly said my name. "We won't hesitate to bring your body in instead."

"But you are hesitating," I faked a look of concern. "Is there a reason you haven't shot me already? Is it because I'm needed for some reason?"

Crosshair sneered. "The only thing we'd need you for is picking up your kriffing rebel friends' bodies off the floor."

I bared my teeth at him and put my finger on the trigger. "But I think you need me for something else. Something important. That's why Hunter was so interested in who I was at interrogation."

"Woah she's smart," Wrecker commented.

"Thank you Wrecker," I smiled at him.

Tech suddenly grabbed the hair at the back of my head and pulled as hard as he could, slamming my head into the stone wall. I collapsed on the ground and spots started swimming at the edges of my vision.

"Tech, comm the medics and let them know we'll be needing their assistance," Hunter tucked his blaster into its holster and crept closer to poke at me with his foot.

I let out a low groan and closed my eyes. Ringing was starting to envelop me.

"Let them know it's urgent," Hunter decided.

"Of course," Tech picked his blaster up from the ground.

Crosshair laughed. "I told you. She's weak."

"Not... weak," I protested.

"Quiet," Tech shushed me. "You might have a concussion. This is urgent."

"I know what a concussion is," I retorted.

"I said quiet!" Tech firmly said.

Hunter picked the bridge off his nose. "We don't have time for her to recover from a head injury. We're shipping out in a standard week."

"I have a bandage," Wrecker volunteered.

"That won't help a head injury!" Crosshair hissed.

"It might help the swellin' in the ankle," Wrecker muttered. "Help with the pressure."

Tech nodded and motioned for Wrecker to hand it over. "That would be helpful."

Tech tried to wrap my ankle, but I weakly kicked him away. He tutted and grabbed it, and I just watched him with glazed over eyes.

"Aw jeez," Wrecker leaned down to look me in the eyes. "She's doesn' look good."

"Grab her and go. The sooner we get her treated, the sooner we can see what she can do in the field." Hunter commanded.

Wrecker picked me up and carried me out of the cave, with Tech contacting the medics at the base.

And so I was a prisoner of the empire once again.

Just great.
