The first trip

Another update? Yes, yes it is. Soon this is gonna have more parts than my Crosshair book lol.

And quick question that means absolutely nothing: Porg or Vulptice? Porg is the small little penguin thing, Vulptice is the small crystal fox.

This is for no reason whatsoever.

But please answer.

No reason though.

Tw: Insults, boob issues (ok that sounds weird. It's not that bad. They just talk about needing sports bras when exercising)

I know in Star Wars they don't have underwear (weird right?), but I don't know how much support that would offer. If you're doing all that running away from Stormtroopers, you're gonna want proper support. So in this, sports bras are a thing.

~Amita~

I blinked, feeling groggy. It felt like sand was behind my eyelids, and my head felt heavy.

I slowly lifted my head and saw my prison cell walls around me. I felt a pounding headache and groaned softly.

"Wha-" I sat myself up, digging my hands into the mattress I was sitting on when everything started spinning.

"Here's a painkiller," Crosshair said and tossed me a white bottle.

I blinked blearily at him and stared at the container. "What?"

"Painkillers," Crosshair repeated.

I held it up and eyed it suspiciously. I looked up at him to make sure he wasn't about to murder me.

"Why?" I frowned at him.

"To help with your headache," Crosshair handed me a glass of water to help swallow the pill down.

"No I meant why am I getting pain meds? Why are you helping me?" I chugged the water and took the pill.

"You have to be doing your best while you're in the field. Any mess ups and you're dead," Crosshair grabbed my hand and hauled me up. "Now let's go."

"Wait the field? Are you taking me somewhere?" I questioned.

"We'll be seeing if you're really as weak as I think you are," Crosshair sneered.

"With my twisted ankle?" I raised my eyebrows at him.

"You'll be fine," Crosshair opened the door. "Tech wrapped it."

I looked at him skeptically. "Are you sure that's enough?"

"You'll learn to not question things," Crosshair sneered. "So shut up."

"Wait!" I protested. "I'm not dressed in mission wear!"

"So?" Crosshair stopped his shoving me to let me explain what I meant.

"I don't have a sports bra! Do you know how hard it is to be running around with your boobs bouncing around?" I exclaimed. "It kriffing hurts!"

"What?" Crosshair blinked in surprise.

"For my breasts? A sports bra offers support for when you're exercising," I explained.

"I don't think we have any sports bras lying around," Crosshair shook his head.

"Ah that's a shame," I blew a breath out threw my teeth. "Guess I'll just be running jogging with my arm supporting my chest."

Crosshair shifted awkwardly in place. "If you want we could see if any female stormtroopers have an extra?"

"Nah I'm fine for now," I waved my hands dismissively. "But I'll need it in the future."

"Okay let's go then," Crosshair resumed pushing me down the hallway.

We went by a window again, and I peeked out at the view, spotting rocky mountains sprouting out of the forest. I wondered briefly whether Rex and Echo had managed to figure out where I was.

"What took so long?" Hunter asked as we reached a hanger.

"She has some wardrobe issues," Crosshair awkwardly explained.

Hunter put binders on my wrists. "Wardrobe issues? What, was shirt not your favourite colour?"

"Nope," I cheerily said. "Im not wearing a sports bra so this mission isn't gonna be pleasant."

"Sports bra?" Wrecker repeated.

"A sports bra is a bra that provides support to the breasts during physical exercise. Those with breas-" Tech began to explain, only for Hunter to cut him off with a laugh.

"What's so funny Harry?" I glowered at Hunter.

"Tech was right!" Hunter laughed and handed Tech some credits. "He said you'd need a sports bra."

"Well it's helpful!" I glared at him.

"Oh I don't doubt it." Hunter sobered up quickly. "I was just laughing since Tech is always right, even about the things there's no reason he needs to know about."

"Let's just get this over with," I yanked at my bound wrists. "I'm starting to miss my cell."

"Cover her eyes," Hunter ordered. "We don't need her seeing the coordinates and telling her rebel friend Rex where she is."

"Rex?" My eyes widened. "I- I don't know a Rex."

"Don't lie to us," Hunter sneered. "We know about your comm."

My gaze flicked to my boot, where the comm rested against my swollen ankle. I should've hidden that under my mattress.

Wrecker retrieved a piece of cloth from somewhere and tied it to the back of my head, blocking my vision. I was shoved into a seat and they started preparing for the mission around me.

"Do I at least get a weapon or something?" I asked, fidgeting in my chair.

"We'll see," Hunter's voice came from across the room.

The trip was weird, as everyone around me stayed silent. I wished someone would do something exciting, I was so bored.

"Are we almost there yet?" I groaned dramatically.

"No. We have a while left in the trip," Tech monotoned

"Ugh," I threw my head back in exasperation.

"Will you just shut the kark up?" Crosshair cried. "I'm sick and tired of your voice."

I stuck my tongue out at where his voice had come from. Then an idea came to me.

I started singing.

"What the kriff is wrong with you?" Crosshair shouted. "Your singing voice is terrible."

"I know that," I grumbled. "Why do you think I started singing? To annoy you."

I continued with my horrible singing, knowing it was driving them crazy.

"If you don't shut your mouth," Hunter's low voice slowly drawled. "I will carve your voice box out with my vibroknife."

I closed my mouth.

"We have arrived," Tech declared.

I was led off the ship and had the blindfold removed. I blinked at the sudden light flooding my eyes and flinched when I saw Tech staring into my eyes.

"What are you doing?" I stumbled away from him.

"Looking at your face," Tech simply said and pulled out his pistols.

"Why?" I scowled at him.

"I was memorizing your facial features," Tech replied.

"Again, why?" I pinched the bridge of my nose.

"If you die, I want to remember what you looked like," Tech said, scaring me senseless.

"If I die? Is there a big chance of that?" I nervously asked.

Wrecker patted my back. "Don't worry Amita. It won't be that painful."

Hunter chuckled and stepped forward, undoing my cuffs. They fell to the ground and I rubbed at my wrists. I stepped away from him and prepared to make a break for it.

"Your mission is to survive the night. You do that, and you're part of this squad," Hunter told me.

"Survive what?" I brushed my hair out of my face.

"The flora, the fauna, the traps we set, and the acid rain," Hunter grinned wickedly.

"I'm sorry what?" I put my hands on my hips.

"Then you'll be part of the squad and therefore, part of the empire," Hunter continued like he hadn't heard me.

I crossed my arms, glaring at them all. "First of all, why would I want to join the empire? I already told you I wasn't interested. Second of all, what type of sick game is this? Second of all, did you say a bunch of flora is gonna kill me?"

"It doesn't matter what you think," Crosshair cut in. "We all serve the empire, whether you like it or not."

"Your ability to survive the night will determine whether you will make it with the empire's high bar of expectations," Tech pinched a leaf between his finger as he examined it.

"How is this relevant to what the empire expects of us?" I smacked Tech's hand away from the poor plant he was manhandling.

"We're sent on all the toughest missions!" Wrecker boasted. "We have a hundred percent success rate!"

I checked their emotions, wondering if this was just some messed up prank. Nope. They all were serious. And Wrecker was hungry.

"Now start running before the acid rain starts," Hunter looked up at the dark clouds. "Looks like the weather's taking a turn."

I kicked his shin before running as fast as I could in the other direction, holding my arm under  my chest as I went.

Again, no reason for the animal question.

Bye!
