For those of you who don't know, a tanka is a Japanese poem. Consisting of five lines, the first and third of which have five syllables and the other seven. Making 31 syllables in all and giving a complete picture of an event or mood.

I was watching an anime movie called 'The Garden of Words'. And in that anime one of the main characters says part of a tanka. Then the other one later in the movie completes it.

I really liked the tanka so I drew a picture with it.

The first part:
A faint clap of thunder,
Clouded skies,
Perhaps rain will come.
If so, will you stay here with me?

The second part:
A faint clap of thunder,
Even if rain comes not,
I will stay here,
Together with you.

I thought it was really pretty. And honestly, this drawing might be one of my favorites.

I don't know why, but I feel like the drawing I did goes really well with the tanka.
