Back at Homeworld, Star Ruby was chosen as a partner or a tag-along buddy for the Rubies. Yellow Diamond felt that there were some missions the Rubies just weren't...sharp witted enough to complete. Star was kind enough and treated the Rubies all the same: as equals. She trusted them enough to handle the missions on their own, yet stayed with them just to escape her regular duties and for the fun of it.
