ok so.

let's have a chat about book two.

to start off: tsunami meets riptide, and the i find their meeting rather weird and kinda unstellijhg

essentially, tsunami goes and spies on riptide when she's goes to try and find the sw palace

this, in my option, is where things go wrong

riptide mistakes tsunami's 'hey guess what i have glowy scales too :D' as 'hi hello i am flirting i like you ;)' which doesn't make sense at all.

as far as we know in the wof-verse, aquatic consists of dragon sign language and morse code (ish). so (here's me rambling and not going in a specific order of my rambles) my guess is that aquatic (Tui) only really refers to the glow scales, even though there is a canon sign language and is only mentioned like two times. (useless rambles sorry y'all) which i honestly don't understand- because i think that it doesn't make that much sense

what also doesn't make sense is tsunami ever so coincidently more or less saying that she likes the first guy she meets out of the literal cave she was living in. what i suppose doesn't make sense, or may as well, if riptide acts like (dumb) humans who misunderstand signs and chooses to approach the random stranger they just met- like wtf was that and riptide trying to grab tsunami??

tamarin, as stated by Kinkajou, has apparently been working in the royal gardens for yeArs which may as well be true. my guess is that she's around the same age as the dod, if not a little older, but like all disabled people, she's perceived as so small and unwieldy, oh boY. but as said in the books, she's pyshixlclly small and is probably thought to be younger than she looks.

and yes, i can see anemone leaving tamarin gifts as canon an stuff, but tbh i think tamarin would just kinda? go with it? like yes i like gifts but also hey fuck off small child this isn't gonna work.

also screw doing this i'm order. btw spoilers for book 14.
