WOOP! I'm doing this art contest thingy, and I'm entering a couple different categories! The contest is being hosted by MMMJourney so check it out if you're interested!

Anyway, this is for the OUT of the BOX! category, judged by MMMJourney , in which we had to take a base and make it into our own art. I google image searched and found this cute little base:

Pretty basic, in order to give me more freedom to make it look like my art. And now, here's what I did with it:

Her name's Ryder, and she's a new OC of mine! I need more human OCs, anyway. Here it is with a better background, too. Since I can only enter one drawing, I'll officially enter this one:

I'm calling it Music on My Mind.

I used this base because it's simple, which lets me add my own touch, and the pose can work for a lot of different scenarios. I didn't really have a scenario in mind when I did this, which is why I used more of a universal background. As for the character, I felt the pose fit a more tomboyish personality type, so I tried to convey that in her clothing choice and expression. All in all, I really like how this turned out!
