Books are deemed to be the source of all knowledge but one that learn from books is in the form of theoretical nature, ideas and concepts. It is essential to utilise them in real environment and experience the knowledge learned through books.
Learning is nothing but understanding the world around us. The knowledge gained through books alone cannot help us, as long as, what one learn through books should be put into use to harvest the benefits. For instance, a person wants to learn cooking and she reads every book available on cooking , still it will not qualify her as an expert since the situations faced by a chef is totally different from what she had learnt through books. This is why in educational institutions, all theoretical classes are followed by practical sessions. Learning through experience is more effective because one is given the chance to face reality. The art of cooking can only be enjoyed when you are cooking not reading the books.
Experience is considered as the dominant source of knowledge. Books are like guiding light in one's knowledge but it is left upon us to experience it first and learn new things for betterment.
