Isaac was absolutely fucking terrified. Selby and Josie were standing in front of him, and they didn't look concerned in the slightest. Aiden and Parker had come running in yelling about a bear, and Josie barely glanced at them and they went flying out of the window behind him, Charlie was likely dead, Aiden was likely dead, and if The prophecies were anything to go off of he would be next on the chopping block. Fire was raging, rain was pouring, wind was blowing, and there they stood, smiling. He was right next to the button right next to ending everything, and they were just smiling, he didn't get it.

Selby looked at Josie and nodded, a scroll and quill appeared in Josie's hands and she wrote down one sentence, {Isaac pushes the button}, he pushed the button.

"That was easy," The button said. And everything went bright.

Aidens hawk never made it to Joel, but it didn't matter. He and Aurora already knew. They were chilling in lawn chairs, sipping OJ out of margarita glasses with little umbrellas out the top, watching the apocalypse go down in the mouth of auroras cave.

They had known this day would come, because they knew Selby and Josie. they knew this world wasn't going to last so they made the most of it and now were spending their last hours here, together, watching everything fall into chaos, It was nice.

"It was nice working with you," Joel said looking over at aurora.

"You too," she said, "see you in the next life," She raised her glass to him.

"See you in the next life," Their glasses clinked together, the world exploded, everything went bright.
