Like all good DND campaigns, we'll skip the week long travel bit
They had been traveling for a week at this point, Aiden, Charlie, and Parker. In that time Charlie had told Aiden about the prophecies and dreams and god interactions, and in turn Aiden had become almost like an overprotective older brother. Aiden had claimed that Auroras Prophecies should be trusted and taken seriously as Joel had told him that multiple times, and he was just making sure that Charlie didn't die so he wouldn't die, but charlie had a feeling that Aiden didn't want him to die simply because he didn't want Charlie dead, and liked having him around.
They finally reached the cliff on which a suburban house was just chilling. Weird, thought Charlie, I could have sworn Selby said Isaac was in an evil lair. They walked up to the front door, weapons ready, expecting traps, or a security system of some kind, there wasn't any. They looked at each other confused when they reached the door, charlie reached out a hand and knocked.
The door flew open to reveal a Guy who looked as though he hadn't slept in a week, he looked at them confused.
"I didn't know Ubereats sent more than one driver," he paused, "with murder tools"
He didn't sound evil, he didn't look evil, he just looked like some guy.
"Uh-, are you Isaac?" Charlie asked, confused, maybe they had the wrong house.
"Uh, yeah?"
"Are you trying to blow up the world?" Aiden asked, sounding just as confused as Charlie. Isaac squinted his eyes.
"Come in," he motioned them to come inside and sit on his couches. "What have you heard?"
They told him about Charlie's dream, and the prophecies, and the training they had had, and isaac then proceeded to explain how he had learned about the god, and what they had done, and his plans to end their "game".
"I'm not the bad guy here, I'm just painted as a villain so those two can go about their merry way and do whatever the hell they want,"Isaac sounded exasperated.
"I can't believe it," Aiden said after a pause, "all this time we thought you were some big bad and it turns out we've just been pawns in some chess game."
Thunder boomed loudly in the distance as a storm rolled in.
"That can't be a coincidence," Isaac said, having gotten used to the warning storms coming this way.
"Well, what are we gonna do?" Parker asked. They all paused, And right then and there Charlie made up his mind.
"I'm gonna go confront them," he said matter of factly, "You can come if you want."
And all of them stood, Isaac went to his detonation button as the other three left to fight the storm.
