Gamayon's writing style is vivid, emphasizing Alex's reflections and emotional turmoil. While some dialogue feels authentic, pulling readers into the story's many intimate, painful moments. Some parts made me massage my temples and would resort to skipping scenes altogether before I can finally return to a scene that highlights the relationships and point of the scene or plot.

There are flashbacks and heart-rending monologues, but as the story unfolds, I witness a certain amount of sincerity in her writing that invited me to experience Alex's inner conflict and growth first hand. The tone of the story is melancholic but sheds light on hope as the charaters wrestles with their pasts and seek personal redemption. Gamayon flexes her writing when the characters portrays the impact of past choices and complex relationships, showing how these experiences ultimately contribute to Alex's strength.

Character development is a key strength here. As Alex evolves significantly, her character's transformation from a woman scarred by betrayal to one determined to be resilient for the sake of her children is a good form of character development. The contrast between Alex's vulnerability and her desire for inner peace gives her a relatable depth. Jake's remorse and Romano's regretful admissions also demonstrate well-rounded character arcs, emphasizing the theme that mistakes can be acknowledged and forgiven even if the scars remain. This nuanced portrayal allowed me to sympathize even when the characters are flawed.

While the story brings powerful messages about forgiveness and resilience, Gamayon could enhance clarity in the narrative's pacing. As I have mentioned, this story had 110 parts and yet there were a lot of room to remove unnecessary scenes, fillers, and dialogues in her plot.

At times, the storyline's transitions feel abrupt, which can momentarily pull me out of the emotional flow. Streamlining these moments with smoother shifts between scenes would further strengthen the narrative and emotional impact. However, these minor structural adjustments are outweighed by the story's heart and authenticity, which resonate throughout the story.

Overall, My Ex-Husband Is My New Boss is an okay read, offering both a bittersweet exploration of love and a reminder of the healing power of forgiveness.

I highly suggest cutting off filler scenes and dialogues that do not move the story forward or the show the value of the characters' relationships to avoid the 110 parts and from burning out your readers.
