Scarlet Red

HELLLOOOOO

I HOPE YOU HAD A FUN WEEK

I am currently recovering from the amount of homework my teachers thrust upon me last week. It was horrifying.

I wish I didn't have to go back to school but alas, I cannot.

On the bright side, tomorrow I have no school anddd if I am lucky I will be gifted a snow day. Really hoping it happens...

Well, besides that, I have some art and lore for you.

 So let us begin!

Kingdom of Fiji!

He notices a ship in the distance and is kind of curious about it...

wonder who it could be..................................

haha.....

The ball on his shoulder is his capital Levuka.

They just be chilling.

Uh, the outfit is based on the King of Fiji and I tried to be as accurate as possible ;-;

Hope I succeeded.

Now. Remember the AU I talked about a while back?

Tears of a Glowing Ember?

Did some more arttt heheh

Wonder what's up with him...

hehe....

The temptation to write a little short revolving around this AU is strong, but the only reason why I haven't is that I am unsure if, in the future, I do want to try stretching it out into a whole book.

Gahhhh I want to share more.

So fine. I will.

Meath has continued talking with his friend and uh.. let's just say he's not really feeling himself... :)

But come on they are friends right?

What is the worst that could happen..?

Now I have one drawing I reallyyyy want to show HOWEVER, I think I will be showing that last.

FOR NOW:

BALLLSSSSSSS

Congress Poland!

He is just staring off into the distance like me fr

I made him because one of the anniversaries of the revolutions involving Congress Poland happened recently. So uh.. yay!

I enjoyed making his wings and his crown.

He is worthy of the crown.

G&B PRUSSIA!

He is holding a gun and is very excited to start shooting zombies!

a̶l̶s̶o̶ ̶F̶r̶e̶n̶c̶h̶ ̶F̶r̶e̶n̶c̶h̶ ̶E̶m̶p̶i̶r̶e̶

well, I will say he would probably be one of the most aggressive players in the game.

Aggressive to the point that he smacks a bomber.

Then dies.

Just saying, could see it happening.

So apparently, it was German Unification Day recently. So, I guess you get some German Empires in honor of it.

Ball

Reichtangle! :DDD

Doesn't he look so nice?

Don't you want to hug him?

You better have said yes.

Uhh anyway...

Now it is time for the drawing I mentioned earlier that I am really proud of.

I want to say before I show it, this took me 10 HOURS TO MAKE. FHSWHE-RUBGIHJPI

Sigh

anyway, here it is:

Stained glass art of the Kingdom of Munster :)

I wanted to try doing stained glass art and started sketching this out during school.

I got some tips from one of my friends on doing stained glass art, so thank you to that friend, even if you will never read this!

I am really proud of this.

BUT MUNSTER WILL NOT BE DRAWN FOR A LONG TIME BECAUSE OH MY GOODNESSSSSS

THIS DRAWING TOOK SO LONGGGGG TP4IHP4JOWFEPG

Haha.

I am fine.

Now some interesting stuff I would like to add:

The sun at the top was apparently the symbol of Brian Boru.

There mayyyy be some interesting stuff on the plaque, although, it may be too small for you to read ;)

uhh that's about it.

In conclusion, I am proud.

I might do more stained glass..

might..

Well.

Now I think it's time to wrap this up.

But oh wait, I forgot to mention.

There is some lore for you if you just uh..

Scroll.

TW: BLOOD AND GORE

Scarlet red was the only color Iveagh seemed to see. The color of blood. Her breath was shaky as she leaned against the dim bark of the tree behind her. The red stained her hands and clothes. Sticky and warm. The stench of iron was strong as ever. This can't be real. It's NOT real.

The soft drip drip of blood could be heard, which seemed to echo in her ears. No. No. No. No. No...

Part of her wanted to peek around the tree, but the other part didn't want to. She didn't want to see the body that she knew was lying on the other side. Nothing felt real. The world seemed to be slow. She couldn't hear anything but her own breath, which was heavy and panicked. This had to have been a dream. Just a terrible, no-good dream that just so happened to be extremely realistic. Too realistic- too- he couldn't be-

"Athair..." She muttered, feeling her voice crack, continuing to stare down at her bloody hands. How could this happen? WHY did this happen? What did they do to deserve this? Iveagh wanted to move. She wanted to leave the spot she was in. But she felt like she couldn't. The words she had heard echoing in her ears once more.

"It seems that you have finally met your downfall at last." England's voice had echoed in the clearing. Filled with a viscous pleasure of victory, "I hope you at least had time to at least say your goodbyes."

She remembered hearing the body fall to the ground. The only thing she could hope for was someone else who died and not her Athair. She was hoping beyond everything that a different body was behind the tree.

Iveagh shivered as the grey clouds loomed from above. They had to be gone now right? England had to be. But Lordship? No, she's gone as well. Why would she stick around?

She slowly got to her feet as a light rain began to set in, feeling her whole body shake as she did so. Iveagh looked at her blood-stained hands once more. She wanted to get rid of it. This color that stained her hands shouldn't have been there; she didn't want it to be there. She took a shaky breath and slowly stepped out from the tree she was behind and pushed aside the green gnarly bushes. His body was there, a few inches from the bushes. Laying still as anything on the forest floor, along with the blood-stained leaves and frost. No sign of life came from the form that used to be the Kingdom of Ulaid. He was dead.

She slowly approached, taking in his limp figure. She could already feel the lump forming in her throat, and she kneeled down beside his body. His eyes were still slightly open, looking dull and glazed over. The life they once held was gone. The warmth, completely gone. The dark red blood stained his front, the source being a long stab wound in his chest. His sword lay a few inches away from him, the blade painted in dark red. Even the jewels in the hilt couldn't escape being covered in red. The familiar, dark, long crack along his face was still there, but it seemed to have gotten bigger. That wasn't completely surprising. After all, cracks were the sign of a country's collapse. There were even visible cracks on his hands. There had been no hope. Even if he had survived in the end, he still would have...

Iveagh didn't finish the thought. She didn't want to finish it. She didn't want to admit it. She wanted to believe that he still had a chance at survival, even if it seemed to be impossible. The silence was all that could be heard except for the rain that patterned down on the earth. No animals made their sounds, no trees creaked from the wind, it was just silence except for the rain. It was almost better this way.

Iveagh eventually felt like she had to speak; even if he wouldn't reply, even if there was nothing, she still wanted to speak. "Why did you make me leave? I could have helped you, then you wouldn't have..."

She trailed off as her voice cracked once more. She gave a shaky sigh, trying to get rid of the lump that still was in her throat. She then wiped some of the blood on one of her hands onto her clothes before raising her hand over his face and slowly closing his eyes. On one hand, he looked better this way. It was almost like he was just sleeping. Almost like none of this ever happened.  But even still, Iveagh felt tears slip down her cheeks. This shouldn't have happened. She wasn't even sure if she could hold it in anymore. Ulaid had been her father and friend. Now, he was gone. He was somewhere else, far away.

Iveagh felt more tears slip; she couldn't keep it in. She absolutely couldn't. It's not fair.

It seemed that the memory was replaying in her mind. But she knew why. How could anybody forget?

"I want you to keep going." Ulaid had hissed at her, clutching his bleeding side with one hand while the other was firmly on his sword. His hands showed dark cracks.

"I refuse!" Iveagh had remarked, she couldn't leave. She refused to leave him here, "Athair you can't fight alone! You and I both know you can't, I-"

"Iveagh. Trust me, I know. But my time seems to be about finished. At this point, it doesn't matter what I do because in the end it will be the same result for me. It's not fair, but that's how it goes. You on the other hand still have a life to live. You and Ulster both do." Ulaid gave a small smile.

Iveagh had wanted to argue. She wanted to stop this, but all that managed to come out was, "I can't.. I can't leave you here."

"You have to. I've lived long enough... so go..." Ulaid finished firmly as a brief silence between them entered before he had spoken once more, "Just promise me that you will look out for Ulster no matter what happens?"

Iveagh had nodded. "Of course, I promise I will."

"Good. Now go." Ulaid waited, but Iveagh didn't move. I can't leave him to fight on his own-

"Go!" Ulaid said once more, glancing behind them as it sounded like someone was approaching. Iveagh felt sick as she turned, moving into the bushes.

The look in Ulaid's eyes had been haunting. Iveagh would never forget it. It was clear he'd already accepted his fate. But indeed, there was a chance that he could've lived, right? No. He couldn't have.

She hated being forced to leave. Hated being forced to abandon him. It made her feel like in a way she had committed betrayal. Sure, she did what she was told to, but leaving him still felt wrong. She wondered if she could've saved him if she refused to listen. There had to be some possibility, right?

The promise. She'd almost forgotten about it. The last thing that Ulaid wanted. Ulster was probably at the palace. He probably had no idea that their diad was dead. What a great conversation that would be. But what if England got there first? Surely he wouldn't go there right? Iveagh felt unsure. Why would he go there? Surely he wouldn't, right? If he knew that Ulster existed, or if he wanted to ransack Athair's palace.. No. I cannot let that happen. I have to go back home. But... can I really protect him if I failed Áthair?

Rain started to pour harder as time ticked on. It was almost as if the earth was mourning with her. Iveagh wanted to stand up, but she refused to leave him here. She refused to leave his body here, welcoming for scavengers and birds of prey to descend upon it. She couldn't do that. He deserved a proper burial.

"I'll come back I promise." She tried to smile but failed. It hurt. She didn't want to leave. But she knew deep down she had to go home and get to her deartháir. It was what Ulaid wanted. Besides, she wouldn't let England get there first if he was going that way. Ulster needed her. She would make it up to her Áthair; she just had to.

She forced herself to stand up, and with one last glance at her father, she turned, walking through the damp, cold grass. The rain continued to pour down harder and faster.

No longer a tuatha, but a kingdom. That will take sometime to get used to. Iveagh thought as she continued to walk. The grass squelching with every step from the damp water. She picked up the pace beginning to run. She had to be faster. She had to get there. Iveagh refused to break the last promise she made to her Áthair. She refused to have more blood on her hands than she already had.

End.

WOOOO WASN'T THAT FUN?

I THINK IT WAS!

I will be writing more on Iveagh and also Ulster because let's just say there is a lot of lore between them that I have planned :)

heh.

Well, uh, so England invaded Ulaid in 1177 and, in a surprise attack, captured its then capital. The king fled and returned in the attempt to retake the kingdom but that failed and Ulaid was succeeded by the Earldom of Ulster.

In my AU, Ulaid was wounded, which is why Iveagh had blood on her hands literally, and at that point, he kinda just gave up. Iveagh hid while England proceeded to do stabby-stabby.

Iveagh unlocked: trauma!

Yayyyyy!

I think you may be able to guess what happened to Ulster.  Again, I have lots of stuff planned heheh....

Alrighty now, questions, concerns, thoughts. etcccccc?

Well, that is all. I am afraid it is time to depart.

GOODBYE, MY FRIENDS, SEE YOU WHENEVER!
