Revenge.
HI HI HI HI HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
SCHOOL STARTS ON TUESDAY FOR ME.
SOMEBODY KILL ME.
NOT ACTUALLY.
NOT YET ANYWAY-
So I did some art for y'all as usualllll
I drew another human but this time it's not an Irish Kingdom :D
South African Republic!
I drew him because I was continuing to make my African family tree and got to South Africa.
That is when I started researching the Boer Republics and thought: huh interesting.
So yeah!
I am going to draw more humans next time because, honestly, I want to practice more.
For some reason, though, it takes me about 5 hours to create a singular human- ;-;
I am also considering changing the hair color to make it more natural instead of using flag colors.
I did try it with this guy, but it didn't turn out right.
We shall see, though, as I continue drawing.
NOW HAVE MY BEAUTIFUL BALLS THAT I DREW.
The red ball is Finnish Socialist Workers' Republic, the one saying you suck is the Republic of Uhtua, and the ball next to him is the Republic of North Ingria (I drew her once but as a human)
Family issues yk?
Shame they don't get along.
Well, except for North Ingria and Uhtua, they get along.
Yk what? Next ball.
Russian Republic!
Just cause Maple is writing about the Russian Republic, she is occupying my brain space, so here is her with a gun!
I wonder what she will do with it!
Totally nothing bad!
Kingdom of Norway (1814)
I love her sm.
It's a shame she died so young.
It was fun drawing this, though!
Uh.. Idk what else you want me to talk about-
What are you looking for something?
Oh yeah!
Guts and Blackpowder x CB let's gooooooo
The map I am doing is Leipzig! (Objective map)
Prussia doesn't want to be on a team with F.E.
Meanwhile, Sweden is having fun murdering zombies!!!
Oh, and Duchy of Warsaw joined the game because right as I was making this, the devs updated the game and added the Duchy of Warsaw as one of the nations you can play!
You can have Poland (Or DoW IG-) as your nation in Leipzig and the map I drew last week.
Sorry Warsaw, but YOU HAD TO BE LATE!
Oh, look, there is Duchy of Warsaw!
Russian Empire is getting mauled, and Warsaw doesn't really care.
FE... is just shooting zombies for fun. Specifically the ones with barrels and hoping certain countries goes too close to one of them :)
FE wasn't lucky though..
Maybe next time FE..
The musician playing music, though, while somebody is dying has happened to me before, and it kinda sucks.
But I guess the musician thinks it's funny.
Now we have Prussia trying to shove FE off a bridge!
The same bridge that is about to blow up in 2 seconds.
Yeah, they both died. But also, if you die on that bridge, you unlock an achievement, so yayyyyy!
Also AE's hat fell off.
Hehe.
Right that's it!
What?
Wait did I forget something?
Oh yeahhhhhh
Sorry!
Lore time!
For today's lore, someone told me to do Meth- I mean Meath.
Not Meth.
You're crazy if you think you read that.
Anyway, quick note, this takes place before the argument Meath and Tara had 2 chapters ago.
With that.
Enjoy.
Vengeance. The only thing Meath had craved for years.
From the moment Aliech had ravaged his territory and committed atrocities against his cities and people, he wanted vengeance.
She didn't even regret a single action she committed. This was proven after the night attack he and allies launched against her. Maybe it wasn't planned well enough, but it ended in failure. He went away feeling defeated, wondering how he could've messed up this badly and if this was the end. But then Aliech came back for the High Kingship early.
The things she did in the quest to gain it caused him to despise her even more. Eventually, she gained it and made sure to rub it in his face.
"You know, I never thought you would be humiliated this badly, " she said the day she visited Tara, "but it benefits me, so I can't complain."
Meath knew she had just said to get under his skin, but he couldn't help feeling the anger that came with it. He wanted to fight Aliech right then and there as the ceremony was performed, but it would've been unwise to cause a scene right there. Even still, he would make sure Aliech regretted the day she set foot on his land. He didn't care about the lengths he took, the time he wasted, or the people who suffered; all he cared for was revenge.
He spent days and nights plotting and scheming. It consumed him so much to the point where he even started neglecting those around him.
He understood he was becoming too enthralled with it. His obsessiveness with vengeance concerned even his capital, Tara. Meath sometimes questioned whether she knew already if he would succeed. He never asked, though, because he didn't want to get a response he hated.
Finally, after years, he gained the High Kingship once more. Maybe Aliech had been hoping he'd forgotten everything. But how could he? He remembered every single thing she did.
The Fire, the blood, and the ruthless stealing. He remembered it all. He felt like he was failing the place he created because he couldn't protect anybody.
Aliech just simply distanced herself from Meath and acted like nothing happened. Did she feel regret? Or was she just hoping he wouldn't retaliate? Meath could feel the flames of wrath grow inside of him, preparing to lash out at any moment.
After doing all the traditions that were usually done after the switching of the high kingship, Meath set in motion the plan he'd had for years. The plan that haunted him from the moment Aliech had gained the kingship again.
He made an alliance with Dublin to attack Aliech. It was an uneasy one, and Meath knew it could be broken at any moment, but as long as he had an ally, he was content. Especially one with a history of causing havoc. Of course, he didn't let his city, Kells, know about the alliance. Kells had a history with Dublin and it wasn't a good one. If Meath was lucky enough, he could maybe snatch the book back from Dublin, which had been stolen years prior. But that's beside the point. He had a new ally, and that was the important thing.
He just went with Dublin north, prepared to reap the vengeance he sought after for several tantalizingly long years.
Now he was standing on top of a hill, overlooking the glorious sight in front of him, a flaming torch in one hand, and his other hand tightly gripping his sword which was coated in scarlet red blood.
A fire blazed and burned brightly, which happened to be one of Aliech's churches. Smoke rose from the flames, which was all Meath could smell. The building creaked and shook slightly, almost like it was soon going to collapse. It wasn't that surprising because it was made of wood. The fire continued to blaze and burn.
Dublin had run off somewhere, probably to chase whatever Cityhuman had been at the church. Meath had briefly seen them and did get to stab them, but they ran off. They would probably go and try to warn Aliech.
Meath didn't care, though. This was vengeance. This was what he had been waiting for. He stood transfixed at the sight of the burning church. Large dark clouds from the smoke hung above and so did a couple ravens, scavenging for anything they could feast upon. They almost blended in with the smoke altogether.
Meath continued watching, not even bothering to pay attention to the world around him. It was what he wanted. Aliech did this to him so many times when she had been ravaging his land. This was just an eye for an eye. A leg for a leg. Or at least part of an eye, because Meath wasn't finished yet.
Meath felt the flames' scorching heat, and a small smile formed on his lips. Funny how the tables had now turned.
"Are you satisfied with revenge?" Tara's familiar voice asked, sounding dull and dry. Meath didn't even realize she was there until she spoke. She wasn't looking at Meath but at the church, seeming slightly saddened.
He didn't understand why Tara seemed sad. Aliech had been cruel to her. Didn't it make her even a little bit joyful that karma had finally caught up with her?
Meath didn't reply immediately, though. He wanted to say yes, but for some reason, he couldn't say it. Sure, he was happy he was finally getting the vengeance he craved. But he still felt like it wasn't enough. It didn't satisfy him. He was silent for a long time before finally replying.
"I will be satisfied when we are done." Meath knew this was only the beginning, and surely, he would be satisfied by the end. How could he not be?
This was his vengeance. Why would he not be even a little satisfied? But he didn't get an answer that day. Maybe he never even would.
End.
Well, I hope you liked it!
It helps you know Meath better.
This is based on Flann Sinna because he saw some gruesome things as a child, which led him to plot revenge on the Northern Ui Neill aka Aliech.
Any theories, like I always ask?
Next week, there may not be another chapter due to school.
We shall see, though!
And if you have any requests for which Irish Kingdom you want some lore on, I will put them on my list because I have to figure out what to do next.
Welp I guess I should leave now.
I hope you enjoyed!
Like I said, I must return to my beautiful underground hole.
No, you may not follow.
Byeeee!
