REEE TOO LATE TO APOLOGIZEEEEE

Hello!

How have y'all been? I hope you've been well!

I apologize for not giving y'all anything last week; I was busy because school is getting progressively worse.

Please save me-

Anyway, so uh, first, last week was the anniversary of the German Reunification, so I drew these two sillies!

I love them.

Wellll anyway, so uh I did announce that I will be making a story revolving around Connacht, and while organizing the chapters and stuff I thought it would be good to do some character designing and stuff.

Do I have a new character for you?

Not yet.

However, I redesigned Tara because she shows up once or twice anddd I just had that urge yk?

I am sorry if the quality sucks.

But uh, yeah! Tara! :D

I probably should've added more stones because that would've been more accurate, HOWEVER, I got tired ;-;

Oh yeah, so uh, usually in my AU, if a state/province/whatever, city, capital, etc., does not have a flag (Or coat of arms), I give them the flag of the country they belong to.

Why did Tara not get this prior? Well, because I am stupid. Not actually, but I do kind of forget my original reasoning.

NOW SHE HAS MEATH'S COAT OF ARMS/FLAG SO UH YOU CAN'T SAY ANYTHING.

Tara is just ready to ruin people's lives with her prophecies! :D

Anyway, so uh, I am still into drawing random colonies so here you go:

Saybrook colony!

He likes berries :)

I am worried the head looks too big-

Uh anyway, spoiler: he dies.

 Oh wait- Everybody does nvm.

I had fun drawing his hair.

Idk why.

Now: some AU stuff I drew with CH!

Austrian Empire and Austria!

I am really proud of how Austria's eyes came out 🥹

Anywho, explanation: I have this thing in my AU (you may have seen this before) where I have slight reincarnation. If you don't understand, try thinking Cinderpelt-Cinderheart situation from Warrior Cats. If you don't know what that means then I will try explaining in the BEST way I can. So basically: once a union is formed between countries (Kalmar Union, Austria-Hungary, PLC, UKGBI, etc.) if they have children/successors, the ones they are named after will be connected to the successors as spirits. Sooo examples:

Austrian Emprie -> Austria

Kingdom of Hungary -> Hungary

Kingdom of Ireland -> Ireland

Kingdom of Great Britain (Or B.E., whatever you call this guy) -> United Kingdom

There are more but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Now, you may be asking: what happens if they die? Well, the spirits are separated since they weren't the same to begin with.

Prime example:

Kingdom of Sweden -> Swedish Empire

Swedish Empire in my AU died in 1721 and once he died, well they are separated from one another.

Also!

Kingdom of Norway -> Kingdom of Norway (1814)

Again, there are more but I am not thinking of them.

Finally, this can skip generations so like Denmark-Norway had two children who ended up having this thing (Idk what to call it ;<:)

Kingdom of Denmark (Viking Era) -> Denmark

and the other one was mentioned above.

Oh, I almost forgot, I do make some exceptions, so it doesn't ALWAYS have to be a union. It could be some random CH who shares the same name as someone they are distantly related to or just named after. Also it can be a city, state, province, whatever!

If you have any questions, you are free to ask them!

Alright, enough with that, I got bored so I drew a chart for the relationships between the Irish Kingdoms in my AU.

I hope you like it, and also, questions are always welcome!

If you are about to ask why the Kingdom of Dublin, the Kingdom of Desmond, etc., aren't here, that is simply because this is a pre-Viking invasion.

I will make a version 2 eventually, but for now, you get this one.

I had a lot of fun making this!

The reasoning behind the decisions for some of these relationships is because of historical and AU reasons!

Now my favorite part.

Do you guys know what Epic the Musical is?

I have recently (when I say recently I mean in the last two months) have been pulled in and have been listening to these songs A LOT.

Soo I drew Troy again:

Don't you guys hate it when your home is set on fire?

"Aren't you going to draw Ithaca?"

Yesssssssss, but right now I am tired so nooooooooooooooo

Ok. Time for lore.

Desmond had been reading when the argument started. He sat at his desk, slowly flipping through the pages, where only the sound of the crackling fireplace could be heard. The fire casted a warm glow across the room, creating a warm ambience. He hadn't expected anything to happen that evening. He just thought it'd be a normal night with no troubles. Oh how wrong he had been.

"Desmond!" Ormond shouted, bursting through the door.

Desmond jumped violently, knocking over a bottle of ink in the process which got over several of his papers. The white parchment now turned into a wet greenish-black. It additionally spilled onto part of the wooden table, temporarily turning the table black.

Desmond cursed as he grabbed the bottle and turned it upright. The ink, now half of what it had been moments prior, began to drip softly onto the floor. He took a deep breath, choosing to focus on it later and looked up at Ormond.

"Hello, Ormond. What brings you here? You usually tell me in advance when you are on your way," Desmond said as he stood up. He started walking in front of the desk wiping his inky hands on his pants, not realizing that it would cause a stain till after he already had done so. .

"I was in a rush." Ormond replied, his tone showing that there was definitely something bothering him, even if he doesn't admit it. . He stood there, his expression seeming unfocused and stressed.

"Is something wrong Ormond?" Desmond asked in a concerned tone.

"Wrong? Oh nothing's wrong," Ormond replied.Desmond could've sworn he saw an eye twitch. Ormond still seemed unfocused, and also tense, which was normal for Ormond, but he seemed tense in a worse way, like he had witnessed a murder or something. He was also fidgeting with his hands intently.

"Ormond. Be honest, what's up? You don't just burst in here in the dead of-" Ormond cut Desmond off by raising his voice.

"Funny that you say 'be honest' when you haven't been honest to me for years!" He looked at him dead in the eye now, fighting back tears and clenching his fists.

"What are you talking about Ormond?" he asked sternly. He was surprised that Ormond had raised his voice and couldn't even remember the last time he had raised his voice like that.

"You lied to me," Ormond said in a cold deadpan tone with the slight edge of shakiness. It seemed he was on the edge of yelling like he had when he burst through the door. He stopped fidgeting with his hands and kept his hands at his sides.

"Lied to you? About what?" Desmond was taken aback now but as he thought, he knew there could be only one explanation. But how could he know? Unless Thomond told him but she never would. She promised. But then again she couldn't be trusted completely. They were enemies after all... but she wouldn't. She had the decency to keep it a secret.

"You killed our father!" Ormond pointed a finger at him as he shouted, his eyes narrowed and full of frustration. His attempts to stay calm seemed to be over.

Desmond stared, his mouth open slightly. He knew? He couldn't believe that Ormond had found out. Did Thomond tell him after all? He felt speechless and stood there blankly at first before deciding to speak up.

"What are you talking about Ormond?" Desmond said in a casual voice, proceeding to try and act like this was just a senseless accusation. Perhaps if he just played dumb-

"Don't play stupid with me Desmond!" Ormond yelled, "I know perfectly well what you did!"

Desmond fell silent and wasn't sure how to respond. He hadn't expected this nor prepared for it. He stood there not sure what to do or say.

"What? You can't think of something to say like you always do?! No quick remarks?!" Ormond remarked, raising an eyebrow.

"How did you find out?" Desmond said bluntly, deciding it would be best to just admit to it.

Ormond reached into his cloak and pulled out a crinkled piece of paper, shoving it into his hands.

Desmond looked down and felt his heart sink in his chest. He recognized the paper. That writing, the crinkled edges, and contents of the paper. It was the letter he planned on sending to that person. He forgot that he never did it, nor that this letter still existed. Desmond had written about how he killed his own father, watching his blood spill into the river below, how he felt afterwards, and how Thomond had witnessed it all. He slowly looked up back at Ormond, who was looking away from him, betrayal etched into his expression.

"Ormond I swear I can explain," Desmond said hopelessly, knowing that in reality he couldn't fix this.

"You can explain? Explain in detail like you did in that letter? Or explain why you lied to me?" Ormond said his tone was as cold as ice now.

"Ormond I had my reasons, I promise." Desmond reached out to put a hand on his shoulder, but Ormond quickly stepped back.

"Don't touch me."

"Fine, just- look I couldn't tell you, alright? I knew you would be upset and if I told you my plans you would've just tried talking me out of it-"

"And that makes it okay for you to lie?! You told me he was killed in an accident! Well now it turns out that it was all bullshit! You lied to me for years and would've continued to keep it a secret from me?! Don't you get how that makes me feel?" Ormond was clenching his fists again, his nails digging into his palms.

Desmond held up his hands, "Can we maybe keep it down? You're going to wake up my capital, Killarney."

"What? Scared they will learn the truth that Munster wasn't killed in an 'accident," he said, making air quotation marks. "Or do they already know that you killed him? Was Killarney one of the few people that knew the truth?"

"No! Ormond, why won't you listen to me?!" Desmond said in an exasperated tone.

"Because it seems like listening to you only brings dishonesty"

"Do you want an apology?! Because fine I'm sorry!" Desmond snapped back.

"It seems like you're just saying that because you want me to back off! You don't actually mean it!" Ormond spat.

"What else do you want me to say!? That I'm not sorry at all and I have no regrets!?" Desmond raised his voice now.

"I just can't believe you lied to me! And Thomond as well! You both decided to keep it a secret!"

"You would've been devastated and would've been mad at me if you knew earlier on! Besides, you probably would've told the other kingdoms and you know how bad that would be!"

"You clearly don't know me well then, Desmond because I wouldn't have said a thing!" Ormond's voice cracked.

"Are you sure about that?! Because whenever somebody asks you something you always tell the honest and whole truth!"

"I do, but guess what?! There are ways to twist the truth! But you decided not to trust me. Would I have been mad at you for killing father? Absolutely, but I am not foolish enough to let it slip that you killed him!"

Desmond gave a shaky breath, he didn't want to fight his own brother, so the most logical step now would be to backtrack. "Alright then maybe I should have trusted you. Now how about we both calm down and talk this out peacefully?"

"Calm down?! CALM DOWN?! AFTER I DISCOVERED YOU LIED TO ME?!"

"Ormond-"

"DO YOU THINK I AM ABLE TO CALM DOWN AFTER I FOUND OUT YOU AND THOMOND WERE LYING FOR YEARS! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY IT FOR YOU TO GET IT INTO YOUR THICK HEAD?! YOU ARE ACTING LIKE A REPLICA OF FATHER! NEVER LISTENING AND PURPOSEFULLY ACTING DISTANT!" Ormond was breathing heavily but his expression slowly changed.

Desmond was silent at those words, he didn't know what to say. Ormond was also silent, seeming to realize that may have been a low blow. However, his expression didn't change, it was still full of anger and hurt. The silence persisted until the front door swung open.

"Hello Desm-..." Thomond stopped mid sentence, immediately noticing Ormond. She stood in the doorway, holding a small brown box tightly in her hands and looked at the two of them awkwardly. Her eyes kept drifting from one to the other before she finally spoke once more, "Did I...uh walk in on something?"

Ormond just swiftly turned around and walked right past Thomond and out the door.

"Ormond?"

He didn't respond and just kept walking until he was swallowed up by the darkness outside. Desmond stared at the spot Ormond had been moments before, the words from the argument circling in his mind. 'You're honestly acting like a replica of father' that can't be true. I am nothing like him...okay sure I lied and was purposefully trying to change the topic but that means nothing. We are not the same. I mean, I would never neglect my kids if I had any and I am sure I am not that secretive.

But he could feel slight doubt creeping in. I am NOT like him. Desmond told himself once more but the doubts just seem to increase.

"What did you do, Desmond?" Thomond asked, turning her gaze back to him sharply since he didn't respond.

He had no idea how to explain what just happened. Especially since he knew it was too late to apologize.

End.

Hehehehe.

So now you guys know what the argument was!

Now the inncident comes around later... hehehe....

Okay no, but seriously you may be wondering why it would've been bad for Desmond if the other kingdoms found out what he did and that is because you see, in this time period, murdering somebody of your own kin in Ireland was looked down upon. In fact, you could be left for dead. Sooo in my AU it's similar in the sense of nobody tried killing anybody they were related to because that would be bad.

So after realizing that Thomond witnessed Desmond commit stab stab on their dad, he made her promise not to say anything. So even though they were enemies, Thomond decided to keep his secret just because she does care for him a little deep down (as you see in the letters she writes)

This rule however, was completely disregaureded after East Breifne murdered his mother because at that point, are you really going to try and stop murdering family memebers?

Desmond thought Ormond would tell everybody in a five mile radius which is why he didn't tell him. This led to these events! Ormond did not in fact say anything.

Also I don't think he could because uh- let's just say he did not last that long at all-

Oh if your wondering why Thomond was visiting Desmond with a box it is because she was going to throw it at him just because why not?

She probably did throw it at him afterwards.

So uh, if you have any thoughts, theories, or anything, do say because I would love to hear them! :D

That's all folks!

See you possibly next week with spooky stuff!
