KAUB
Hello.
I hope you had a magnificent day!
I am exhausted for no reason.
I was going to post this yesterday, but I didn't finish something I really wanted to put in this chapter, so yeah.
Firstly, you all wanted more Guts and Blackpowder x CB, so I decided to try drawing some random stuff from each map.
I only got one map done this time, hence the title of the chapter.
But I hope you guys enjoy it anyway :)
In this map, the players have to put a bunch of items on the cart, and technically, everyone can grab them because if somebody dies or is just holding onto an item, then at least someone else can put it on the cart.
Also if you're wondering why the specific characters are Russian Empire, Prussia, Austrian Empire, and the Kingdom of Bavaria, it is because those are the nations you can play in this map.
So, the Russian Empire (I like the other flag better, but at that time, this was the flag) kind of just forgot, so he asked the Austrian Empire who was building stuff because I chose to make him a sapper.
Why did I make him a sapper? I honestly don't even know. I just thought he'd be better as a sapper than in Infantry...
Prussia is just murdering zombies cause why not? He was originally supposed to be in the infantry, too, but I changed him to officer because this map is supposed to take place in Prussia, so I thought it made sense.
Finally, we have the Kingdom of Bavaria being attacked by a runner zombie.
Does he survive?
Yes.
Ik, I ruin all the fun, but don't worry, something better is going to happen!
K, so for this next one, basically, you get a badge if you get crushed by a bridge on this map, and it's called 'If I had a brain' (I still need this badge, actually..) so I made AE get crushed while Kingdom of Bavaria tries warning him.
Why? Well, I actually just spun a wheel cause I couldn't decide who I wanted to be crushed by the bridge...
And don't worry, he will be fine. He will respawn later on...
Now for one of my favorite parts of the map!
I shared some of the pictures from this scene last week, but anyway, Blücher, based on the real-life general Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher, in the game gives the players a key telling them to kill the zombies in the cell and to finish it for Prussia.
THEN HE FLOPS OVER, SUCCUMBING TO THE INFECTION, AND AS THE OCCURRING OFFICER GOES TO CHECK ON HIM, HE RIPS OUT HIS THROAT AND THEN GETS MURDERED BY THE PLAYERS.
YAY.
So the light gray ball with the Prussian flag is the officer, and the grey ball with the red eyes is Blücher. Prussia feels just a tiny bit guilty.
The last one for Kaub, though, was my favorite to draw.
Context if you are confused: Fall damage exists in this game, and there is a really high staircase that a lot of people like to jump off at the end of the round because, yes. They end up breaking their legs and just lay there until a zombie kills them, the round just completely ends, or another player shoots them to put them out of their misery.
A lot of people love doing the last one. It's either to unlock the 'old yeller' badge or it's just for fun-
CB, though, doesn't have legs, so Bavaria broke his... idk what Countryball skeletons look like, so I couldn't tell you.
Prussia, though, is very happy to help Bavaria!
Isn't he so nice?
That wraps up the CB x Guts and Blackpowder stuff for today.
Again, I will try and make every map but we shall see.
Now we have some human drawings!
Remember that unfinished drawing I made on paper and said I wasn't sure if I would finish it?
Well, I did and transferred it to digital.
Iverni! :D
If y'all don't know who she is, I shall say that it was a Gallic tribe in Ireland that was recorded in Ptolemy's 2nd geography that existed in the southwest of Ireland.
Her lore is still being written, but one thing is for certain in my AU is that she is one of the Kingdom of Munster's parents.
I am not going to go too much into that today, though, because I would actually die inside.
Soo next drawing!
Kingdom of Meath and Aliech!
Honestly, I just wanted to draw them.
But I may have been influenced by a song that I kept imagining them two in-
Rivalry is great.
They will both hate each other till they both die, and even in the afterlife, they will despise each other.
Aliech's arm was so annoying to draw, though. It took about 30 minutes to get it right >:(
Well, here is the part where I think I may make some of you excited.
It is time for your favorite segment.
Lore time.
Enjoy!
The treaty.
The treaty that ruined everything.
The treaty that kept Ireland divided.
Munster didn't care if the other provinces, along with Ireland, accepted it. She refused to acknowledge it. Didn't they see its purpose? They were trying not to give them the full satisfaction of independence. They were trying to keep them divided.
This was why Munster refused to surrender. This was why she wanted to continue fighting. She knew this meant civil war, but did she care? No. If she could protest and even put a stop to the awful treaty, she would. Ireland was supposed be united! Why did it seem like everybody else was blind to that?
At this rate, she didn't even care if she was horribly injured or if she died. Whatever happened, she would be ready. The Anti-treaty would prevail in this war. Besides, Ireland started it. He and the other Pro-treaty members attacked the Anti-treaty first.
Is it really worth it, though? This war? It's just more bloodshed, a voice said in her head.
It is, she kept telling herself over and over again. But as she thought about how Limerick and Waterford had been captured, she knew what the outcome would be: They would lose. Munster and the other anti-treaty members had more experience, but the Pro-Treaty members had better equipment. By the day, the Anti-treaty was losing ground while the Pro-treaty was gaining ground.
Munster hated admitting it. But it was the truth. They couldn't win. The writing was on the wall. As long as she still had time, though, she would resist. Just like the Kingdom of Desmond and the Barony of Carbery had done during the Desmond Rebellions. She refused to go down easily.
Now, though, she was at Kilmallock, taking a defensive position. She was preparing for it when the pro-treaty approached. She wasn't joining in at the moment, but other Anti-treaty members were currently ambushing pro-treaty members. She wasn't quite sure if they were succeeding without her, though. Guerrilla warfare had proven to be effective, though, during the War of Independence. So, with luck, it could work.
But also it just gave her time to stall and prepare for the battle that was about to occur.
Now she stood outside, dark clouds already covering the sky, and light rain beginning to set in. The town was almost empty, except, of course, for the occasional scurrying of street cats. The dirt road didn't have any recent car tracks. Any cars that were around were just on the sides of the road, cold and untouched. Munster, meanwhile, just blankly stared into the distance; the caws of crows sounded from above as she was left alone to her thoughts of not surrendering.
"Munster!" a voice sounded from behind her. She turned to see Kilmallock running up to her, a rifle in hand. She frowned, seeing the look of concern on his face. He paused to catch his breath. It seemed he had tried getting here as fast as he could.
"Yes?" She asked dryly, having a horrible feeling of why he seemed to be concerned.
"The pro-treaty forces are almost here- like they are right outside the town!" Kilmallock managed to say, stumbling over his words as he spoke.
Munster turned away from him, giving him a sigh. "Of course they are. I guess it is time to be prepared to engage them in battle."
Munster grabbed her rifle which had been leaning on a nearby barrel. It was time to fight, even if it meant death. Munster refused to give in; she would fight to the end. Nothing would stop her. If they lost the battle, though..
She didn't finish the thought. She just paused to stare back into the distance before turning back to face Kilmallock.
"Let's go."
End.
I hope you guys liked it :D
Funnily enough, I put a bunch of characters in the Wheel of Names, and that's how you guys got this lore story because it landed on Munster, the province. When it landed on her, I wasn't sure what I should write about and originally was going to do something else, but then I remembered the Irish Civil War and the 'Munster Republic' as it was called and changed my mind.
Maybe she will get some more lore another day...
But anyway, I found the Irish Civil War a very interesting topic. If you want to know more about it, I suggest the channel John D Ruddy because he did a very good analysis of it.
I am unsure, though, if I want to give the Anti-Treaty side a personification, mainly because it lasted even after the Munster Republic fell, so I love it when I am indecisive!
I will figure it out, guys. Don't worry.
I have to stop being indecisive, though.
Anyway, one amazing quote rq: "Yerra, they'll never shoot me in my own county" - Michael Collins right before leaving for Béal na Bláth where he was ambushed by Anti-Treaty members and assassinated.
He was, in fact, mistaken.
So, I am now going to be thinking of my next short lore story; however, do y'all have any requests for any specific Irish Kingdoms you want to hear some lore on?
If you do, please say so because then I don't have to use the stupid wheel again!
Before I go, season 3 of Bradenbirbs will most likely be out next week.
With that, I shall make my leave.
GOODBYE HUMANS OR WHATVER YOU ARE!
