50?!

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT.

50 CHAPTERS.

WOW.

THAT'S CRAZY.

I HATE HOW FAST TIME PASSES MY GOSH-

Well, uh, anyway, HELLO!

I hope you had a wonderful week!

I had a good week, seeing as midterms are officially over for me, and now I am on Christmas break!

Now, because this is the 50th chapter, I thought it'd be nice if I showed you guys some oc content along with some more fanmade nations! :D

I hope y'all enjoy!

Firstly this silly:

This is my oc Pyrrhos! :DD

He is a part of a resistance movement that is fighting back against an encroaching empire (which will be talked about later on) that is trying to annex his country D:

He is a minor oc I created but yk...

He's still interesting..

Pyrrhos is a very skilled planner as well!

I have another human drawing HOWEVER, I will be getting back to that later because I feel like I want to serve you some balls first.

First country oc woooo!

So this country is called: the Free Republic of Adalti

This country's economy is mainly ocean-based anddd they are pretty much involved with the ocean.

This is partially because of the country's patron, which I will discuss momentarily.

This country is MOSTLY peaceful. Though, still not perfect ;-;

Anywho, so the patrons in this world are important because they are the guardians of sed countries!

This is sort of like how Ancient Greek city-states had patron Gods.

Each country has a guardian/patron, but they can also have two nations. It depends.

The guardians, as I call them, cannot die (for now), but they can be severely wounded, put into a coma, and stuff like that.

They also have a certain animal they associate themselves with (it can be mythological!) so like whatever that animal is they can turn into it. Also, they may be pissed if you harm sed animals.

Now, here is a picture of the flag:

The animal in the middle is a Manx cat because the guardian of Adalti is represented by a Manx cat.

Now, here is the guardian of Adalti!:

This is the guardian, Aedan!

He is wearing a Manx cat mask since that is the animal he associates with.

He mostly, as a human, takes the form of a child because, uh... it matches his energy because he literally is a child.

Aedan has a bad habit of being an annoying pest.

But yeah!

That's Aedan! :D

If you have any questions about him feel free to ask!

Next ball:

This country is calleddd the Kingdom of Ardial.

Ardial is very competitive with the country that will be mentioned next.

This country is sort of focused on justice and has an electoral monarchy.  (Meaning, just in case someone doesn't understand: monarchs are elected; it's not hereditary.)

I have nothing much else to say about this one except the fact that the citizens here like to think they are better then every other country-

Flag:

Now next Countryball oc!

This one is called the Kingdom of Leoica.

They are a hereditary monarchy and are rivals with Ardial.

Also they are possibly becoming an empire that slowly becomes more brutal overtime and is totally not the empire I mentioned at the start-

Yeah...

The guardian, I should probably add, is a little power-hungry.

Flag:

I had fun designing this one.

Next countryyyyyyyy

This is the Warrior State of Llywdor.

As you may be able to see, the animal this country and it's guardian likes is the dragon! :DD

This country is veryyy into being militarial and defending itself against the opposing countries surrounding them.

Very often, there are times when they isolate themselves.

Now here is the flag:

Now for the last two I didn't get to create ball versions so instead I will give you their flags and names!

:DDD

Island of  Ailonia!

They like deer and are also one of the only nations to have a shared guardian with someone :D

Finally, we have the Union of Dáithí!

Time is very valuable to this country and their guardian :)

Now I do have another flag + ball; however, it is different because it is in the universe of if the U.S. states became independent sooo the same universe as the Republic of New Netherlands flag I showed a couple weeks ago!

Here it is:

This is the United States of New England! (Or the NE Union, orrrr the Massachusettes Empire)

I have lore for this one, hehe.

Here is the flag:

Soo if anyone was curious, the site I used to create these was flagmaker.net; however, I used the Sketchbook app to add certain things, so I don't really recommend it because I am sure there are better websites for flag making out there ;<;

Now uh... remember last week's lore?

Well here is some stuff to add on to it!

Airgialla (green ball), Ulaid (Yellow-red ball with the crown), Emain Macha (one on fire/dead one)

So hehe..

Poor Ulaid..

He unlocked trauma!

Yeah.... rip Emain Macha.

He's now nothing more than a pile of ash.

ON A MORE WHOLESOME NOTE:

Iveagh and her (most likely brother) Ulster!

They have a nice relationship.. well uh... when Ulster was a young child and before England invaded...

I CAN'T TELL YOU WHAT HAPPENS EXACTLY THOUGH BECAUSE THEN THAT INTERRUPTS MY FUTURE LORE PLANS >:(((

Just appreciate this as it lasts.. hehe...

Family tree fun fact: Ulster I wasn't sure where to place him in the family tree originally because, for some reason, Iveagh's predecessor was Ulster's (which I am 97% sure it's supposed to be Ulaid because Ulster is an Irish province didn't exist yet.. especially in the early 400s AD) which confused me, HOWEVER, Ulster is the same as the Earldom of Ulster in my AU and that is the successor of Ulaid so I was able to make it work in the end..

So uh.. yeah!

Extra fun fact: Ulster is the oldest Irish province in my AU.

Now.. let's look back on the past for a second.

Sighhhhh

Alright, now take this doddle I made after finishing a midterm early:

bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Bees.

Okay so... um......

what now..?

I don't think I have anything else to show-

OH WAIT YES I DO!

I HAVE THE LORE YOU ARE PROBABLY CRAVING FOR!

HERE YOU ARE! EAT WELL:

Thomond knew full well she wasn't welcome in Desmond's territory, but she really didn't care. It may have been his land, but she wanted to trade with Carbery, so that was exactly what she was going to do. If he had a problem with it, he could talk to her about it personally.

Carbery was his son, and they had a very complicated relationship, Carbery was technically supposed to be enemies with her since he was a Barony under Desmond. However, Carbery tended to form his own opinions even if he was under Desmond. Thomond had noticed, not only that but he tended to think a lot more for himself than others in his position did. In fact, she had heard he'd gotten in trouble for going out into battle pretending to be him. When Thomond heard about the incident, she thought it was hilarious but felt a bit bad for Carbery because she knew he probably got a stern talking to. Then again, she loved the fact that not even her brother's own child would listen to him.

Whenever Thomond could, she would once in a while visit Carbery's shop and see if she could get anything. Carbery had a lot of valuable items such as sheep, butter, grian, and weapons. The shelves were usually always filled with items ready to be traded for something else. Carbery was extremely useful when it came to trade.

Thomond needed wool for a small project she was working on and unfortunately, she didn't have enough herself. Sure she could've asked somebody else around the island but she thought it would be better if she went to Carbery just because if Desmond found out, it would be hilarious. Also, she didn't mind visiting Carbery since she knew she could get extra items besides wool that she didn't have already. Although, she had to be sure she brought items herself since this was a trading post after all.

Thomond now stood outside, her hand on the bronze handle of the old wood door that was attached to the stony gray building of mismatched stones with a sign that read 'Cairbrigh's stáisiún trádála' etched in black. The ocean, which wasn't too far, bringing in a nice cool breeze.

Thomond took a deep breath before turning the handle and entering inside. The floor was slightly dusty and could be seen against the brown of the wood floor. The shelves as usual were filled full of different items like books and wine. Chests and crates were either under the shelves, or against the wall, most closed, but a few open, one of which had robes hanging out of the side. The room was lit up by torches that flickered and beamed against the stone. At the end of the room was a large smooth brown desk which had a small golden crown laying on the left corner on the surface of the desk. Behind it, was Carbery who was humming to himself some sort of tune, his back to Thomond. He seemed to be working on something, not aware that she was there. Thomond stopped in the doorway, waiting for him to notice.

He continued to hum until Thomond cleared her throat, "Carbery?"

Carbery's humming faltered. He stood up and slowly turned around, a blank expression across his face before it turned into a happier one upon realizing who it was, "Hello Thomond! How are you?"

"I am well, thank you for asking." Thomond smiled.

"That's great! I apologize for not noticing you earlier, I was busy taking notes." Carbery explained, holding up a piece of paper which seemed to have a list of names. Two of which Thomond saw were the Kingdom of France and the Kingdom of Aragon. She felt the urge to comment about the list but resisted as Carbery spoke once more, "I assume you want something soo what is it? Grain? Timber? Jewelry?"

"No actually, this might sound funny but I was hoping for some wool." Thomond shrugged.

"Wool? Huh, I expected something else, anyway, if you don't mind me asking why do you want wool?" Carbery walked to the other side of the market, his steps rushed against the wood boards where a tall shelf holding many different types of fabric was.

"I am in the middle of making something. It isn't that important though." Thomond shrugged, glancing down at the floor.

"Let me guess! A winter coat!" He suggested, turning his head slightly to glance at her.

"Maybe." She smiled a little, finding it slightly amusing how much energy he had.

He was muttering something before gasping and pulling out some bright fluffy white wool that looked almost identical to a cloud. "There we go!" Carbery walked over to his desk and gently placed the wool down before looking up and asking, "So is that all or would you like to add anything else?"

"Hm perhaps... I will look around a little. If that's alright with you that is." Thomond added the last part with a respectful grin.

"That's fine. I mean my Diad isn't here to kick you out of the territory so you know. Take your time." Carbery shrugged, putting his arm on the desk and leaning his head onto the same arm.

Thomond turned and began looking around through the wooden shelves and crates full of books, weapons, and even drinks like wine. She did spot an interesting book with a nice purple leather cover: The Book of Myths, but she resisted picking it up.

After a while she heard Carbery's voice, "I am kind of surprised to see you here since you do have your own trading market."

"Yes, but one, I don't have everything. Two, I don't do what you do, which is sit here all day and finally three, I like looking around other places." Thomond explained, picking up an old rusty gold crown which seemed to have a skull carved into the middle of the opal gem that lay in the center.

"Well, I mean I guess that's fair," Carbery shrugged, leaning onto his desk, which creaked a little as he did so.

Finally, Thomond grabbed a book she thought looked interesting which had a brown leather cover and had the title painted in golden letters, The Different Types of Flowers of the World, along with a unique looking golden curly feather and some timber.

She placed them on the desk, and Carbery smiled, "I assume that's all?"

She nodded, and Cabery replied, "Excellent! Sooo now what do you have to offer?"

Thomond sighed, "I have some animal skins that Clonroad gave me with me at the moment. I can give you a couple along with some gold."

Carbery seemed to consider this, "hm... Alright so I'd say that can cover three of the items..."

"There is something specific you want isn't there?"

"What?! No!" He looked away, a very suspicious expression on his face. Thomond noticed a long scar that seemed fresh on the side of his cheek, which caused her to frown. I wonder how he got that. "But I mean... Hypothetically if you gave me one of your cattle that might be a fair trade..."

Thomond gave a half sigh, half laugh, "I think we can make that happen. Although, my cattle are pretty valuable so you may need to throw in something else."

Carbery's smile faltered. "Would extra wool suffice perhaps? Or.." he opened one of his drawers and began to rummage through it until he made a 'aha!' and popped back up straight, holding a small brown drawstring bag. This piqued Thomond's interest.

"What's that?"

"Some seeds that I found out can make some sort of beautiful flowers. I know you like them of course so how about I throw these in. Would that be enough for me to get one of your cattle in exchange for all these items?"

Thomond considered that for a moment. It's not a bad trade.. I mean I wouldn't protest new flowers.. "What kind of flowers are they?"

"I was told they are called Helianthus annuus." Carbery paused before adding, "or in other words, sunflowers. I wasn't sure what to do with them, however, I know you love flowers and I was told they give some pretty yellow vibrant looking flowers. An excellent addition to your garden if I do say so myself."

Thomond stared for a couple more moments at the bag. It was incredibly tempting. It wouldn't hurt to have some new flowers in the garden... perhaps... She held up one finger, her gaze now drifting back to Carbery who had a sly grin now, "I am only giving you one cow."

"Alright. That's fair." Carbery smirked, putting the drawstring bag on the table before putting his hands together in a very business-like fashion, "Is there anyway I could perhaps get two-"

"No." Thomond replied firmly, crossing her arms.

Carbery sighed, "Not even if I throw in extra timber or another awesome looking feather?"

"Nope."

Carbery seemed a little disappointed, "That's a shame."

"Well I am sorry but I think one cow is quite enough for you." Thomond replied, rolling her eyes.

"Great!" Carbery shook off his disappointment, clapping his hands together, "Then it's settled!"

Carbery began to move, throwing his cloak off, when Thomond noticed dry blood on the sleeve of his rusted yellow long-sleeved robes. She frowned at the sight of it. So, there is a scar on the side of his cheek and dry blood on his arm, what could Carbery possibly be doing?

"So Carbery, do you mind me asking a question?" Thomond wanted to sound casual about it.

"Well yeah, I don't see why not." Carbery replied, glancing upward.

"Why is there dry blood on your shirt?" She asked casually. Normally, Thomond wouldn't have been so observant, but she felt like this was a good way to confirm her suspicions.

"Oh that! It was an accident." Carbery smiled, but his words were quick, a little too quick.

"What kind?"

"I was just handling a sword not properly enough, no big deal." Carbery wasn't looking at Thomond, which raised her suspicions.

"You don't sound sincere."

Carbery hesitated before sighing, "Look it doesn't matter, it really isn't that important. So how about we just progress with the trade and depart ways."

Thomond felt like she couldn't keep the question in any longer at this rate. She had heard the rumors and wanted to know herself. She didn't want to be nosy, but she could feel her curiosity getting the better of her. "Carbery, are you a pirate?"

Carbery looked over, his mouth slightly open as he stared blankly at Thomond, seeming to think about a reply. He seemed to think better of it and pull out the paper she saw earlier, seeing him write something on it before hiding it from view.

"Well?"

"No, and for your information you are the third person to ask me that today!" Carbery seemed sincerely annoyed.

Thomond felt a little pity, "I'm sorry if I offended you-"

"It's fine. I know you meant no offense. I got a nasty letter from a certain somebody the other day about this topic." Carbery sighed, looking up at the ceiling in boredom. "But I assure you, I've done nothing of the sort."

Thomond "Well can you be honest about the injury then?"

Carbery hesitated, "I got into a fight. But I'd rather not talk about it."

Thomond still didn't trust him; whatever the true reasoning was, Carbery didn't want her to know. Pushing the topic won't make him tell me. It's best to leave it alone.

Carbery drummed his fingers on the table, "Alright so I have the fur coat and the gold. I might withhold one of the items though just in case you end up not giving me the cattle."

Thomond shrugged, "I wouldn't, although, you do have logic behind your reasoning so I feel I cannot protest."

"Even if you were, I wouldn't change my mind." Carbery made his tone full of sincerity.

I believe that. Thomond thought to herself with a small smirk.

Carbery bent down, writing and humming at the same time, Thomond watching him closely. Carbery looked like Desmond and Munster. He of course had dark green eyes different from Munster's brownish red ones and Desmond's dark amber ones. Though, Thomond saw more Munster, if anything.

"Alrighty! Timber, one book, some wool, sunflower seeds, andd a feather for some animal skins, gold, and a cow." Carbery recited, reading his paper through aloud before looking up with a grin, holding out the paper and the quill, "Sign here please!"

Thomond took them both without comment, writing her full name in inky green letters. After, she held the quill and paper out, giving it back to Carbery.

"Which item would you like me to hold until I get the cow?" Carbery asked politely, putting his hands together.

"Hm... how about... the timber. I can wait around for that." Thomond pointed at the small brown curvy logs that lay on the counter. Carbery made a mhm sound instead of actually replying.

"Pleasure doing business with you!" Carbery said in a sing-song voice before pushing her items close to her, taking the paper, shoving it in his drawer, and giving a little wave.

Thomond grabbed her items off the desk and was walking towards the door, before she paused, glancing at Carbery and chuckling, "You are just like my Athair."

"Munster?" Carbery tilted his head, lowering his hand at these words.

"Yes."

"Is that good or bad? Because Athair always speaks ill of him. I try to form my own opinions but I can't really escape the ones I am surrounded by. So uh... I don't really know if that's good or not..." Carbery frowned, seeming a little uncomfortable but also curious at the same time.

"Well my dear brother, your Athair doesn't like thinking positive or at least, when it comes to Munster he doesn't. I'll admit Munster wasn't a great father, in fact he was terrible, but when I say that I mean it in a good way. He had your energy and spirit. Hell he even looks like you, except for the eyes of course." Thomond gestured at him.

"Hm. Well, thanks I guess?" Carbery smiled, but he looked extremely questioning.

Thomond waved as she began to walk out of the store with a small grin hearing Carbery call, "Goodbye my favorite aunt!"

Thomond looked over her shoulder, "I'm your only aunt."

Carbery grinned mischievously, "That is exactly the point."

Thomond returned the grin as she spoke, "Well in that case, goodbye my favorite nephew!"

She turned the cold bronze handle and opened the door, walking through and letting the light of the outdoors welcome her. She shivered a little due to the bitter cold air but shook it off. It would be fine.

But as she walked, she still wondered what Carbery was hiding and if he had been lying the whole time. The way he reacted when she asked about his injury was a little off. Of course, she wouldn't throw accusations, but she knew something was off with Carbery. Then again, was it really her issue? If anything, she was just curious if it was all true. Besides, that was just another issue for Desmond to deal with.

He'll be fine. Carbery is an adult after all, whatever he does isn't my issue. Thomond thought to herself. But she couldn't help but wonder what Carbery was doing to get himself hurt. She even briefly wondered if this would affect her in some way. She hoped it wouldn't. She really didn't have time for that. But then again, she didn't know how much time she truly had left.

End.

So I'll admit, I kind of just wrote this because I wanted to introduce you guys to Carbery. But technically you guys HAVE already met him before...

Anywho, I also added Thomond because, in my AU, Carbery and Thomond have an interesting relationship.

Also I know some of you like Thomond so I purposefully gave you more Thomond content..

I have talked a bit about this before, but Carbery was known for trading with other European nations (that weren't Irish), and also piracy was involved in the ruling families of Carbery.

Sooo Carbery was accused of this kind of stuff, if he was really a pirate well then.... that's for you to decide :)

I don't have much else to add except the fact that I specifically choose sunflowers for the flower Carbery gave to Thomond because sunflowers were imported to Ireland through trading with the Spanish (wonder where they got it from..............)

That's all!

Questions, theories, concerns?

I have to plan a good Christmas special now.

But um... I may have something special planned for Christmas so you know ehehehehhee......

Well anyways!

This is where I must leave!

50 parts woooo!

Goodbye and thank you! :D
