Been a slow few months artwise! I ended up doing a few things for my story Riven Isles as I return to writing it. I am now writing the final chapters and feeling great about it. C:

Here is some Riven Isles art to peek at:

What you may or may not notice (most people wouldn't) is that my lines in this drawing are way smoother than usual. Why? This can be attributed to the use of FireAlpaca rather than my go-to Krita. I started making an animation on FireAlpaca and gave up and simply colored this keyframe.
The lines are smooth because FireAlpaca has a very good line-smoothing/weighting tool. I definitely recommend it. Honestly, I should do lines in FA more often, then transfer to Krita for the rest.

Ups of FireAlpaca: SMOOTH LINES and easy-to-make GIF ANIMATION (with onion skin function)

Downs: BAD for coloring. Unless you go browsing for a million fancy pants brush packs online, FireAlpaca has a very basic starting color set. YOu have a fill tool, a pen, a paintbrush, an airbrush, a few other basic brushes. The END.

Krita has some wonderful default texture brushes and a great offering of free textures and a simple filter/rendering function. As well as MANY more features that FireAlpaca does not offer.
