85. B is for... Billie Elliot the musical
Hi there, I've kept my promise; I'm trying to post more often! (at least, during Inktober)
So today I have a surprising amount of art to show you, where most is from today and yesterday. Yesterday I bought some nice new pens and stuff from Officeworks, so I couldn't resist using them!
^all of my new stuff I bought!^
Anyways, without further ado, let's get onto the art!
#1 My art is slowly evolving into anime-style... oops
Here's a drawing that I did a while ago, but just recently coloured. The colour palette is a bit eh, and everything kind of blends together, but I still like it! I think the moth-bat turned out really cute as well, and I like its annoyed facial expression, it looks so silly on a cute lil moth-bat
#2 (pronounced deal-ee-ah btw) Deliah from Beeliar
If you remember my character, Sunny, then I'm happy to announce she has a friend now! I've been planning on making more flower fairies, and so far I have both Sunny and Deliah! I really like how her design turned out, and was very pretty and pink! If you have any suggestions of flower fairies that I could make in the future, I'd love to hear them!
#3 A one-eyed, one-horned pined purple people eater
I drew a little cyclops a while ago, and she turned out really nice! It was hard coming up with a simple colour palette, but I chose a few colours, and it worked out nicely!
#4 The Wizards of Waverly place was my childhood
With my new 'triplus fineliner' pens, I used 5 of them (there's 6 in the pack) to make this cute witch! I had to rub out the pencil until it was really light, otherwise it would damage the pen's tip. So, I had to be really careful with this one! Nonetheless, I still love how it came out!
#5 The colours me of watermelons and now I want to eat some
This drawing was just a random one I did, and I tried to colour it in with highlighter, but the black fineliner pen I used would damage the highlighters, so I waited a white for the lineart to fully dry, and carefully put a bit of colour where there wasn't too much pen. Even though I couldn't colour it fully, I still like how it turned out!
#6 Harry Potter who? This witch is better than him.
I drew another witch girl (I really love this design!) and I wanted to use my new pens again, but didn't want to waste a lot of ink-so I did a line design to colour the drawing in instead, and it looks really nice!
#7 I'm sorry that these are all witches/spooky, but I'm just so excited for Halloween!!!
And again, I drew another witch! This time, I wanted a more warm, pink/orange, 'autumn' colour palette, and I think I pulled it off well! (shh, I messed up on the eyebrows!)
#8 PUMPKINS!!
I tried to do a 'line-less' drawing, and it went pretty well! I drew (another!) Halloween drawing, and it turned out soooo cute! I really like this pumpkin-fairy, and I think that she counts as the next flower fairy! Although, a pumpkin isn't quite a flower... I'll allow an exception! I think I'll call her... Peri the pumpkin fairy! Which flower fairy of this chapter do you prefer: Deliah or Peri?
#9 What a sweet boi
For day 2 of Inktober, I drew a bit (monster? yeti-thing? spooky wolf?) sleeping, and away with the fairies! I think that he/she looks pretty 'tranquil' so, I think I captured the prompt well enough!
#10 Your acting is worse than Laura Lee's 'crying' in her apology video.. roasted!
It took me quite a while to think of what to do for the prompt 'roasted'. When I tried to look for some inspiration, there were only photos of roast animals, and a Simply Nailogical thumbnail...
Like, the only thing I could think of was either a roast lamb, or someone literally being roasted alive in a pit (thanks Hawaii five-0, I definitely wanted to see a guy get roasted in an underground pit) So I went with the second option, but not in a gross way. Instead, I drew a girl who transforms into a (fire girl??), and when she does, her 'human' skin kind of.. melts/roasts?? off, to reveal her 'spooky fire-girl skin'. Yeah, I mainly did this because I didn't want to draw a crispy human. And I'm sure you didn't want to see it either, so, you're welcome!
That's all for traditional art-I do have one digital piece for today, so let's get onto that!
#11 Jasper is such an emo
I made a cute little gif of Jasper (yes, I'm in the habit of drawing him a bunch now!) and I think it turned out adorable! It's simple but I think it works well-the thick lineart helps to make it look simple and cute!
Anyways, that's all I have for today!
