The art shop where Jimin worked closed earlier that night, due to the lack of customers it was receiving. The brunette was upset that the shop had to close even earlier because not many people showed up. Even though there was a customer who bought one of the actual paintings, it wasn't enough to rid the boy's hurt heart when the shop closed early for the second night in a row.
Jimin stepped outside of the shop, the sun just starting to set in the sky. He sighed. Most days he would be working until the later evenings, but lately business took a downwards toll, leaving the shop with little to no business. He didn't know what to do since he didn't feel like going straight home just yet, he really wanted to stay in the shop but since it closed early, that was out of the question. It was still too early to go home, he didn't have a clue of what he wanted to do, though.
So, the boy sighed and walked to the edge of the sidewalk, ready to go home early anyways. He wasn't much of an explorer when it came to the town he lived in, in fact the only places he really knew of were the shops next to the art shop and the grocery store which was only a block away from his apartment complex. He never wandered further than that grocery store, never really payed much attention to the surrounding stores either. All that was on the boy's mind was the art shop, home, and grocery store. That was it.
Jimin looked both left and right to make sure there weren't many cars coming before stepping onto the concrete street. He stopped dead in his tracks as an unfamiliar sound filled his ears. The sounds were some sort of music that the boy had never really payed much attention to, since he didn't really listen to music. The sounds sounded so soothing, every little note giving him a completely different feeling. He never even knew he could have such strange feelings for a few simple notes of music - they weren't just simple, of course.
Once the music stopped, the brunette got control of his senses once again. He stepped fully onto the sidewalk once again and turned around, hoping he could spot out where the music came from. Of course it would be difficult, since the music had stopped and the boy had no clue where such music could be playing from - well he had a small clue that it could've been the new music store, but that closes at 5 and it was currently 6:30.
The brunette started to slowly walk to his right, him having no idea exactly where he was planning on going, just going with the flow. Then the music started up again, this time much more harsh sounding and full of emotions. Jimin's feet moved him quicker, them working on their own, as they brought him up to a small shop with a sign out front saying "SG Art of Music." He knew the title of that shop all too well, that was the new music store that moved in less than a month ago and had more popularity than the little art shop the brunette worked at had.
Why am I here? The brunette questioned in his mind, while looking through the shop's large window. It was dark inside of the shop, all of the lights were turned off, making it pitch dark. He walked closer to the window until his face was pressed against the glass. He cuffed his hands around the sides of his face to allow himself to see clearer, which he was able to do.
Through the darkness of the room - with the small exception of the sunset's little light peeking through the window - Jimin was able to make out some sort of large instrument in the center of the room. There looked to be someone near the instrument as well, since the brunette could make out a darker shadow by the large instrument's shadow - he had assumed, since he couldn't really see much in the shop.
The person who was playing the instrument couldn't sense the boy's eyes watching him as he played, for he was too focused on letting his emotions out through the brown instrument in front of him. He moved his fingers swiftly over the keys of the instrument, eyes shut tightly as he lost himself within the sounds he was creating. Key after key, note after note, all of it was unveiling itself at once and Jimin couldn't help but be captivated by it. That being said, he wanted to hear it more clearly. He wanted to know what the music sounded like up close.
Jimin removed his face from window and looked at the shop's door. It didn't look like it had been locked, although he had no idea if it had or hadn't been for sure. But, the persistent boy wanted to hear the beautiful sounds of music up close, so the possibility of the door not being unlocked had slipped his mind as he approached the door.
He gripped the cold metal knob in his palm and slowly twisted it to the left. He had to be ever-so-slow, not to alarm the person inside of the music shop and to not sound any alarms if the door wasn't unlocked. Luckily for him though, the door had been unlocked. He sighed out a small breath of air as he began to slowly push the door open - again, so he wouldn't startle the person creating the beautiful sounds of music that he was hearing.
Once the door was opened enough for the boy's small figure to fit through, he stealthily walked through, careful not to make much sound with the heels of his shoes. He had successfully made it into the music shop without getting caught. He let out a small sigh of relief before focusing on the music that was being played through the medium-sized shop.
Jimin could tell it was from a piano, someone had been playing the piano that was creating the beautiful sounds of music that he couldn't help but feel tranced by. Every little note had made him feel a different emotion, it was all such a new feeling to the brunette. He had never felt so attracted to music the way the sounds of the piano were attracting him. It's like the notes were hooks, grasping onto the little fish that was Jimin, and pulling him in. Or like a person who is just that attractive that you are in a trance by their beauty. Whatever it may be like, the boy was in a trance-like state because of the sounds the person was creating with the piano.
He wanted to hear the music closer, he was lucky enough to sneak into the shop to hear the sounds of music as close as he was, but he still wasn't close enough. He had to be right up next to the instrument that was creating the music, he had to be able to touch the instrument, to know that the music he was hearing was real and was coming from something as simple as a piano.
So, the boy decided to take a step closer to the piano and the person playing on it. That's when everything had crashed down. He tripped over something that had been laying on the floor, sending the brunette crashing face first onto the shop's floor. The music had immediately stopped and the next thing the brunette knew, lights were on and someone was standing over him.
Jimin rubbed his eyes as they got adjusted to the light, and once they were fully adjusted, he sat up straight, hitting heads with the person standing above him. The said person had fell down as well, accidentally kicking the boy's arm as he did so. The brunette winced in pain as he grabbed onto his now-sore arm, glaring at the person that kicked him in the arm. The person laying on the ground glared back at the brunette as he sat up, clutching onto his mouth.
"Why'd you have to kick me like that?" The brunette narrowed his eyes at the boy, noticing he looked somewhat familiar. The ravenette's glare softened in the slightest as he recognized the voice as the boy from the art shop.
"I didn't do it on purpose," the ravenette's voice was muffled due to his hand being kept over his mouth. "Your fault for sneaking in here, dumbass." The boy remarked, removing his hand from his mouth when he felt his bottom lip go the slightest bit numb.
Jimin widened his eyes as he recognized the boy as the one who entered the art shop earlier with his friends who bought the painting. He also noticed the boy's lip was bleeding pretty badly. Did I do that? The brunette panicked in his mind as he seen the boy's bloody lip and hand.
Without giving it a second thought, the brunette grabbed the ravenette's hand and pulled him up, ignoring the burning sensation in his right arm. He dragged the boy out of the music shop and - carefully - across the street to his apartment complex. He continued to drag the raven haired boy up to the second floor, the ravenette being completely confused but not objecting since he was still slightly dizzy from the head-bump and fall he had a little while ago.
Jimin unlocked the door to his house and ushered the boy inside, leading him to the bathroom where he kept his first-aid kit. He had been the cause of the boy's bloodied-up lip, so he knew it was his duty to fix what he could of the lip and make sure the boy wasn't hurt too badly - not to mention he was worried about getting charges pressed against him for breaking and entering into a shop that was closed - even though the door was left unlocked.
The brunette had the ravenette - who's name he hadn't the slightest clue of - sit on the toilet sit as he pulled the first-aid kit out from under the sink. He opened the kit and grabbed the peroxide and a cloth towel, applying a little bit of the peroxide on the cloth before dabbing it onto the boy's bleeding lip.
The ravenette let out a low growl of pain as he grasped tightly onto the brunette's wrist. Jimin's eyes went wide as he looked at the boy in front of him, scared as to what could happen. After all, he brought in a complete stranger to his house - a stranger whom he'd hit in the head and gave a bloodied lip to - and he had no idea of what the stranger could have been capable of.
"Don't press that harshly," the ravenette's voice sounded strained, probably due to the peroxide on his lip. He let go of the boy's wrist, the skittish Jimin quickly nodding his head and proceeding to light dab the cloth onto the boy's lip. The ravenette would still let out a few low hisses here and there, but nothing like when grabbed the brunette's wrist.
"Alright, you're all cleaned up," the brunette suddenly became very aware that he had let a stranger into his house. "Y-you can go now."
The ravenette shrugged at the brunette's odd behavior and stood up, walking past the boy without even acknowledging his presence. Jimin watched as the boy made his way out of the his apartment, closing the door behind him. He almost heaved a sigh of relief, but the door re-opened to reveal the ravenette once again.
"Thanks for giving me a bloody lip then cleaning it up, Jimin."
Jimin's eyes went wide as he watched the ravenette leave once again, this time, not coming back. He stared at the door for what felt like hours, eyes still wide, only one thought coursing through his mind.
