eleven.

The next morning, Jimin awoke by a sweet scent. He fluttered his eyes opened to reveal his room, a loud yawn coming out of his mouth as he stretched his arms out in front of him. He lazily stood up from his bed and walked to his closet for a quick change of clothes - which consisted of a white and grey striped sweater and a pair of light denim jeans. He didn't bother doing anything with his hair before making his way into the bathroom to brush his teeth.

Once his usual morning routine had been completed, he made his way out of his bedroom and down the short hallway to follow of the sweet scent that filled his nose. He walked into the kitchen half-expecting Yoongi to be there in the middle of burning something, but was met with nothing but a plate of steaming pancakes placed on the counter. The brunette walked up to the plate, eyebrow cocked in confusion as he approached it. He noticed a white note next to the plate with messy handwriting on it and picked it up.

Jiminie~

I'm sorry if me asking to stay at your apartment for a few days is too much to ask, I just don't have anywhere else to go, really. I have Namjoon but I'd rather not stay with him and his boyfriend who are too loud and obnoxious. There's also Hoseok, but he's always getting into arguments with this girl whose name I don't remember. You're the only person I could really turn to while being in this situation.  I'll help around as much as I can and bring groceries or whatever you need. I'll even pay you once everything is settled and done. But all I could do for now is make some apple cinnamon pancakes for you. I hop they're still warm by the time you wake up. I'll be off to the music store so that's why I'm writing this note.

I'll see you after work, then.

- Yoongi

Jimin re-read the note over to make sure his eyes were catching everything he was being told, and they indeed were. He sighed softly as a small grin etched its way onto his lips. He stuffed the note in his back pocket and grabbed the plate of pancakes and a fork before making his way to the living room to quickly eat his small stack of pancakes. Work for the brunette started whenever he showed up, really, so he took time to enjoy the sweet, fluffy pancakes the older boy made for him. They were the greatest pancakes he'd ever tasted and he - secretly - hoped Yoongi would make them for him another time.

After finishing up the last bite of his pancake, Jimin placed the dirty dishes in the sink and began getting ready to leave for work. He went to grab his jacket from the coat rack, only to realize it wasn't there. The only jacket there was a black one that looked like it was leather - although it wasn't. Jimin sighed, realizing that Yoongi must've grabbed his own on his way to work earlier that day. Not wanting to get sick from the cold weather, he grabbed Yoongi's leather-looking jacket and threw it on over his sweater before heading the door. He locked the door behind him and made his way towards the stairwell.

Jimin made his way down the stairs to the lobby, only to be stopped by a Jiyeon who couldn't help but greet the brunette.

"Morning, Jimin," Jiyeon smiled widely at the brunette, who waved and smiled back at her. "Your boyfriend left earlier with your jacket, he wanted me to tell you that he was sorry for that but he didn't want to be late to work."

Jimin rolled his eyes at the old lady's statement and completely ignored the fact she called Yoongi his boyfriend. Although, he couldn't quite help the small grin that plastered its way onto his lips at the mere thought of Yoongi wearing his tan jacket. He tried to push that thought away with a small, fake cough and headed towards the apartment complex's front door to exit the building.

Upon exiting the building, Jimin was met with the sheer cold air of the near-winter season and he shivered. He tried to snuggle himself deeper into the fabric of Yoongi's jacket, which did make him feel a tad warmer, but that only made him a lot more comfortable. He even thought of never giving the ravenette back his jacket since it was so comfortable.

Jimin was careful to cross the street, making sure to look both ways before crossing so he wouldn't get hit by any cars. He almost had one time before, and he promised himself to be a whole lot more careful when crossing since then. Once he got across the street to the art shop, he noticed a small paper in the window. He walked towards the window to look at the paper which read "closed today, heater getting fixed."

The brunette sighed, realizing he didn't have work that day. He was already up and about though, so he didn't quite feel like going back there just yet. The next thing that entered his mind as an option to do was to go visit Yoongi at the music store. That was scratched off as an idea because he didn't want the older boy to think he wanted to become friends with him because he visited him at work. Sighing aloud, he decided to go visit the library a few stores down from his work.

He snuggled deeper into the black jacket and started his walk down the sidewalk to the library. He'd never been to it since he moved in a few years back, but he enjoyed reading books so he figured it wouldn't be any harm to look for something to read.

Jimin opened the door to the library and was immediately greeted by a girl with short, red hair and thick-rimmed glasses. She walked up to Jimin with a wide grin on her face.

"Hi, welcome to the Neverland Library or Bookstore, whatever you'd like to call it. I'm Kaesi, the librarian. I'm here to help you find the sort of book you're looking for today," the girl greeted quietly, since it was a library after all. Jimin nodded, although he was more focused on the girl looked familiar, like he seen her before.

"I'm just here to look around," Jimin replied to the girl, since she seemed like she was expecting him to tell her what type of book she was looking for.

The redhead nodded. "Alright, well, I'll be at the front desk if you need help finding anything. Enjoy your reading session." Jimin nodded at the girl before heading off to the many aisles of bookshelves. He couldn't remember the last time he'd been in a library, since he had been so busy with work and never really visited one when he was back in Busan.

Jimin walked down one of the aisles of books and grabbed a random book before heading off to one of the tables where no one was sat. He opened the book without looking at its title and began to read it. His eyes skimmed over the words on each page, although his mind was really elsewhere. He couldn't really focus on much and since he didn't have work that day, he didn't have much to do to distract him from thinking about everything that's happened in his life so far.

By so far, he means since Yoongi walked into his life.

It wasn't hard to tell that the brunette enjoyed to talk to Yoongi, yet he always did his best to hide it. If he were to somehow open himself up to the ravenette, his life would literally be over. He made a promise to himself to never allow others to enter his life because nobody can be trusted and everyone breaks your heart in the end, and Jimin didn't want that. He didn't want to open up to someone, to trust someone, then have anything crash around him just because of trust. That being said, Jimin knew he felt attracted and attached to Yoongi. He didn't quite exactly know what about the older boy that made him attracted and attached to him, but he knew he was. Whether it was Yoongi's music or Yoongi in general, Jimin felt attached in some sort of way. The only way to weaken his attachment to Yoongi is to not let him in and that's exactly what he'd planned to do.

As long as they were acquaintances and nothing more, then that was okay with Jimin. He just wouldn't let the relationship that they had be anything more than that. They were solely acquaintances and that's all they'd ever be. That of course, never stopped the deep stinging pain he felt every time he thought about that. Jimin ignored that stinging pain because he knew it was what was right, it was better for both of them as long as they stayed as acquaintances and never past that border. No matter what.

Jimin sighed, a frown etching its way onto his lips. He already admitted to himself he grew attached to Yoongi even though they've only known each other for a few days. Everything else was going to go downhill from there if he didn't do anything to stop his feelings and emotions. He stood up from his seat at the table in the near back, placed the book on the table and headed towards the exit.

As he walked out of the front door, he ran into two people who seemed to be in the midst of arguing. Jimin looked up, muttering a small apology before walking around the two.

"Look at what you've done, Hoseok. We're in the middle of the sidewalk and that poor kid just ran into you because you decided to argue with me once again in public," the redhead from earlier emphasized her words and let out an exasperated sigh.

Jimin stopped dead in his tracks at the name the girl spoke. Hoseok, wasn't that one of the names Yoongi mentioned in his note earlier? Jimin asked himself as he reached into his back pocket and re-read the note. Surely enough, Hoseok was the name on the note along with someone by the name of Namjoon, that he was sure Yoongi told him about before.

"Me? You're the one who can't quit complaining about my dance studio being right next to your library," Hoseok scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest. Kaesi just glared at him.

Jimin turned around and walked back to the duo, stopping their argument as soon as he approached them. He looked up at the two and recognized them as the people who entered the art shop that one day with Yoongi and two others who bought a painting. He assumed the one with the orange hair was Hoseok, since he already knew the redheaded girl was Kaesi.

"Um, your name is Hoseok, yes?" Jimin asked, looking at the taller boy with orange hair. Hoseok nodded. "You're friends with Yoongi then?" Hoseok nodded again. "Oh okay, that's all. I have to be somewhere now, I'll see you around then. You too, Kaesi."

Both bid the brunette a goodbye before he walked away, both confused.

Jimin on the other hand, silently made is way back to his apartment to get some more rest. His head was hurting from thinking about a lot that day and he needed to sleep it all off. So that's exactly what he did. As soon as he entered his apartment, he laid on the couch and fell asleep with Hana curled up at his side.
