+ note ; wow look at this, last chapter of this fanfic. then an epilogue. nobody was expecting this, it came out of the blue lmao. surprise motherfuckers, y'all are in for a treat.

A few months had passed into their relationship - which started the night of their little confession - and everything had been running smoothly. Well, almost smoothly. A few weeks back, Yoongi got a call from some big music company that had been interested in a few tracks he had sent in nearly a year before he received the call. The excitement on his face when he got the call meant everything to Jimin, especially because of how happy it made the older boy.

That being said, neither expected the next words told to the ravenette on the phone after knowing they were interested in him. The director of the company told Yoongi that he'd have to travel to Europe if he wanted to make music, something that froze both males who were in the midst of being all excited. Yoongi was going to deny the offer to go and live his dream, because he didn't want to leave Jimin's side, but the younger boy wouldn't allow that.

As badly as the thought of losing Yoongi hurt, he wasn't going to let the person he cared so deeply about miss out on an opportunity that comes only once in a life time. So, after some arguing, tears and tight hugs, they had both agreed that it was best for both of them if Yoongi left to to Europe to fulfill his dream.

That's where they currently were, standing at the airport, waiting for the older boy's flight to be called.

"I don't want to go, I don't want to leave you," Yoongi whispered to the brunette, who had been doing his best to not cry. "I've worked enough as it is to have you as mine, but now I'm leaving you because of some stupid music career that I don't need. We could continue our lives as they were, you working at the art shop and me working for my shit-for-a-dad. I can call the director right now and tell him I'm not going, so we can stay together."

Jimin shook his head furiously, not liking the way of the older boy's thinking. He reached his arms up and wrapped them around the ravenette's neck, pulling him close for a tight hug. He leaned his head against Yoongi's, holding him as close and tightly as possible. Yoongi let out a shaky breath, slowly wrapping his arms around the brunette's waist, nuzzling his head into the crook of his neck. Neither had to say anything to know that Yoongi ditching his dream was never an option, no matter how badly he wanted to give it up just to stay with Jimin.

"I don't want you to go, hyung," Jimin let out a shaky breath. "But this is your dream and I wouldn't want me holding you back on this. I know you'd do the same for me if I had an opportunity to become a professional artist. You'd be telling me to go and live my dream, like I'm telling you right now."

Yoongi gripped tighter onto the boy's waist, blinking quickly to rid of the tears that clouded his vision. He had never been a person to cry, but leaving the person he loved to go and fulfill some dream that he could care less about, really broke his heart. The last thing he wanted to do was leave Jimin after everything he had to do to be with the brunette, the last thing on his mind was to leave him. Yet, there he was, standing in an airport, waiting for his flight to Europe to be called.

"Flight 95 to Europe, your plane is boarding now," a staticky woman's voice spoke through a speaker from somewhere.

Both boys froze in their places, not expecting their time together to be up so soon. Jimin held even tighter onto the ravenette, the tears that he had been trying so hard to keep in earlier, falling down his cheeks. His body was shaking with every sob that escaped past his lips. Yoongi only clutched onto the boy's waist tighter as he, too, let the tears roll down his cheeks. Their time together had come to an end quicker than they anticipated.

"Flight 95 to Europe, you plane is boarding now. You have five minutes until takeoff," the staticky woman's voice returned, breaking off a piece of both boys' hearts in the process.

Jimin was the first to pull away from their embrace, bringing his head up so he could look into the teary eyes of his boyfriend. He immediately brought his lips to Yoongi's, giving him the most heartfelt kiss he ever had. All of the emotions he felt for the older boy were poured into that salty kiss. Tears were streaming down both of their cheeks as their lips molded together for what felt like last time it was ever going to happen.

"I-I'm g-g-gonna miss you s-so much h-hyung," Jimin whispered against the older boy's lips. Yoongi only gripped tighter onto the brunette as a response, but he had to let go.

When Yoongi let go of Jimin, it was a reality of what was going on. Reality had finally struck the brunette, the boy who had never wanted anything to do with another person, was losing the only person in his life that he couldn't bare to live without. He was losing the person he told everything to, the person who he trusted more than his own family, the person he managed to fall in love with because of a completely stupid accident.

He was losing the love of his life.

"I love you so much, Jiminie," Yoongi's voice came out shaky as he picked up his suitcase. "I'll be back as soon as I can, and when I come back, I'm never leaving you again."

"I love you too, hyung," Jimin whispered, using the back of his hand to wipe away the tears that just wouldn't stop from falling. He stood there and watched as Yoongi walked through the gates and headed towards the plane he was going to board.

Once Yoongi was out of his sight, the brunette turned around and made his way out of the airport and to the car where Namjoon was waiting for him - since Yoongi called to make sure there was going to be someone who would drop the brunette off and kept him company, at least for a little while.

"How are you feeling?" Namjoon asked as the brunette got into the passenger seat of the car. Jimin stayed quiet, his gaze focusing on the outside rather than the words coming out of the older boy's mouth. All he heard was the sound of Yoongi's voice saying he loved him before leaving to get on the plane.

Namjoon sighed, glancing at the brunette before starting the car and driving off to the apartment complex where Jimin lived.

The following morning, Jimin was awoken by his phone constantly ringing. He did his best to ignore it because all he really wanted to do was sleep away the pain he felt, not hear the same sound of his ringtone over and over again.

After about five minutes, he had officially given up and picked up his phone, answering it without looking at the caller ID.

"Jimin, are you okay? Do you want us to come over?" The rushed voice of Seokjin spoke through the other side of the phone. The brunette sat up in his bed, confused as to why the older boy was rushing his words out and why he sounded so worried.

"Why wouldn't I be okay, hyung? What happened?" Jimin asked, lazily getting out of bed and making his way to the kitchen to brew himself a cup of coffee. Hana was trailing on his heels, meowing constantly - which is something she never did.

In the background, Jimin could hear the muffled voices of Namjoon, Hoseok and Kaesi talking about something. He didn't hear much, all he could make out was Yoongi's name. He had assumed they were talking about how the ravenette left for his new career the previous day, leaving Jimin all alone in his apartment.

The brunette was quick to make his coffee, and was in the midst of taking a sip of it when Seokjin spoke through the line once again.

"Jimin-" Seokjin sounded like he was on the verge of crying as he spoke slowly. "-Yoongi's plane crashed down last night. It's on the news and they're saying no one survived."

Jimin's eyes went wide, the glass cup he held in his hands fell out of his grasp, breaking on the tiled floor. He dashed into the living and turned the tv on, changing the channel to the news to see if it was true. Surely enough, the news anchors were talking about how Flight 95 that was heading to Europe, had crashed down late last night.

"Jimin, are you-"

The brunette dropped his phone, his body becoming weak as he fell to the ground. His eyes were widened as he stared down at the brown, hardwood floor. So many things were running through his mind at once, so many memories flashing through his brain of the times he spent with Yoongi, everything. Tears were streaming down his face and he hadn't even noticed, because he was too in shock of what was going on. Just the other day, the ravenette promised to return home once his career started, but that'll never happen.

All of the times they talked about getting a house together, getting another cat for Hana to have a friend, spending the rest of their lives together, all of it meant nothing anymore. Yoongi was gone, just like most of Jimin. His heart was shattered, soul lifeless. He felt dead, even though he was alive.

Jimin's body rattled violently with every loud sob he made, his fist repeatedly coming in contact with the hardwood floor. He hadn't even felt the pain in his knuckles or noticed the bleeding done to them because he had become numb by then. He couldn't feel anything.

The brunette opened his mouth as he strained out the loudest scream he could muster. His throat was stinging from the screaming, his knuckles bloodied up and his face red from all of the tears. He wasn't able to process anything right in his mind because there was no right in his mind, he was as empty as can be because he lost the person he loved.

Yoongi was gone, and he took all of Jimin with him.
