This is a drawing I did about four months ago of my favorite rooster, AJ. Although the stereotypical rooster crow is cock-a-doodle-do, my two polish roosters make a different sound. AJ's crow typically sounds like ur-a-urr, and Claud's crow is shrilled and longer and sounds like ur-a-arrarr. Claud was my first rooster to crow, and that was back when I still thought (more like hoped) he was a pullet. It was a funny, shorter noise, and I had hoped he was just a crowing hen. Unfortunately that was not the case, and currently I have three roosters with only nine hens.
