Soooo

Asaph said he's rebooting OI??? And I've got some info from the stream hehe. Aight so:

- Cast is looking to be about 12 characters, and episodes at ~12 minutes long

- Sandwich, Strawberry, and Oreo are very likely coming back in the new season: Sandwich and Oreo because they're favorites, and Strawberry because she won the ep11 rejoin

- New OI is gonna be like pg13?? May or may not have swears. Romance is likely to be played down.

- The animation style will be different, and all the assets are being redone. Personalities might be different as well.

- WiiU won't be the host

- If Oreo comes back, he'll have a different name bc copyright reasons

Everything is still in the air since things are still in early production yknow?? But there will be a new OI discord by Sunday or something?? There were also things said abt episode 11 so:

- Sandwich/Lemon were arguing about Fire Axe, and Lemon was actually defending him

- Sandwich/Pudding Cup were also fighting

- Challenge was a rap battle and Sandwich won

- His prize was that he could eliminate a contestant and he chose Lemon

I am a little!!! Concerned? For the new season but that's probably because new cast and all means Pudding Cup/Police Hat probbbbably won't be in the new season which SUCKS because I love them :( I mean I already got a oneshot idea from the whole premise of them not being in the new season but Oreo is which means they won't get closure with him and probably won't for quite some time but anyways

That is assuming the old season is still canon? Which it probably isn't considering this is a reboot? I'll def have to ask, because if not then. :) Yeah. Idk there's a lot of stuff to consider so we'll just have to wait and see!! But seriously I would be devastated if Police Hat and Pudding Cup are de-canonized lmao

Okay so update. There is a poll and it is confirmed only 3 old characters will be in the new season. I'm already kinda fixed that Sandwich/Strawberry/Oreo will be coming back but who knows!! Honestly I'd be okay if only one of the Police Hat/Pudding Cup/Oreo trio came back because they're all good, it just won't be the same lol.

There were also ppl saying Orange should come back and I think Orange is a good candidate! Like, justice for Orange (Orange Justice, if you will ahaha) his character got so squandered and I'd love to see him grow past Watermelon (again, assuming old OI isn't de-canonized).

What characters I'd like to see back really depends on what Asaph is doing regarding the canonicity of old OI? Because if it's a complete wipe then they're basically new characters and there's little to no point. But if personalities are the same and/or old OI is still canon, then that's interesting. But I can respect a complete wipe from a creator's viewpoint. Just me personally, I really like some of the old characters.

Opinion breakdown incoming:

Oreo/Police Hat/Pudding Cup are good because they have strongly established personalities and history with old OI. Lots of potential dynamic-wise. Again, I'd be happy with any of them.

Strawberry is good because she's a wild card and a good antagonist, if you will. Lots of character and dynamic potential.

Watermelon is a good antagonist but she served her role in old OI. Probably shouldn't come back.

Orange is good for character growth and would be interesting to see.

Fire Axe doesn't deserve to be put through this shit again lmao. Great character but probably shouldn't come back.

Sandwich is an neat character; him in the new season would be interesting to see considering his strategy in the old one.

Lemon is also interesting as an "information gatherer" (as said by himself), but I'm not fussed about him. Has good potential though.

Gumball/Cookie/Conditioner/Shampoo/Camera/Remote/Quadratini are mid. They all have room for growth, especially Quadratini and Camera, but eh. Not much loss if they're cut.

Cup/Ipad would be neat, and they're interesting characters. It's be cool seeing either back, but I don't mind if they're cut.

I didn't think Police Hat would be THAT BAD LMAO but hey it adds to the canonicity of "Police Hat is terrible at lying" so. That's cool.

I do find it nice that Pudding Cup actually encouraged Police Hat??? Especially since in the same episode she goes "this is why I don't like working with you" lmao. But yeah she'd be disappointed as hell

Can't even. 💀💀 This does have some implications though. Either 1) Oreo told Gumball "Pudding Cup is defo in love with me but keeps playing hard to get" or 2) Gumball just kinda assumed things.

I don't know why Gumball says it's because of her when Oreo is dating Watermelon??? But whatever ig.

Speaking of which this next thing wasn't part of the audio

I wonder if anyone was thinking "wait does she actually like him or" during that bc as far as I know, only Oreo was the one thinking PC had a crush on him.

It does make me wonder if that was going to be a plot point??? Bc like what if Watermelon heard that and went "wait maybe I can use that to my advantage" or something like that idk. Kinda hoping Asaph eventually releases the old scripts so I can see lol

Oh yeah btw Pudding Cup lost lmao. I love her and all but her lyrics were kinda badddddd 💀💀💀

Final round was Sandwich v. Oreo and as you know Sandwich won. But yeah 👍
