Okay so like I still have more ogu stuff I wanna draw but I been thinking a lot about AU things and I felt like if I didn't draw any of it I was going to explode. Btw last AU chapter was almost 2 months ago. I've earned this.

Btw you know what's really funny about NC AU. I love it it's one of my fave OI AUs right. But it wouldn't exist if OI never got canceled. Which is a little weird to think about 💀💀💀 Just a thought!

Btw x2 last chap I mentioned a snow possibility. IT SNOWED YEAAAAH 😎😎😎😎 I literally just went out it's like 1am as I'm writing this. It isn't much rn so hopefully it sticks around when it's a more reasonable time. Actually the only reason I'm up so late/able to get a new chap out so soon is bc classes got canceled due to the weather lol. I should uhhh probably use that extra time to do my classwork tho 🙄🙄🙄 siiiiigh....

I'm gonna be talking a looooooot about NC s2. Prepare your ass.

So! Basically during the cast introduction I imagine Oreo's kind of looking over everyone seeing who's here and who's not (#anxiety). He doesn't see Watermelon which is fantastic. But he doesn't see Pudding Cup or Police Hat either and he's like both relieved and sad 😭 but anyway

Meanwhile Strawberry sees Oreo and has to do a double take bc this guy is Not the Oreo she's familiar with. Like when did his hair get all frizzy and long. Why is it dyed. Why does he have FACIAL HAIR. Like he's just a completely different guy. So later when the cast is allowed to casually mingle they have a conversation bc they already know each other so it's easier. (Sandwich has been staring daggers at Oreo so Oreo doesn't dare approach him LOL) And so above interaction happens.

Oreo doesn't want to just traumadump so he plays his style change off 😭😭 I think in-universe he kinda looked at his hair one day when it was about the length it is now and he was like "i'm bleaching this." Strugglercore.

Based off of Ink art.......how Oreo will cry as a bodily response to numbness......... 😞😞😞😞😞

Atp they're kind of friends. I say kind of bc Strawb would never admit it and Oreo thinks he doesn't deserve friends. But out of everyone in the cast they hang out/work with each other the most methinks. Again I haven't rlly put much thought to the non-veterans 💀.

Strawberry specifically asks if someone made fun of him so she has an excuse to beat someone up.... 🫢🫢 but this is basically Strawberry starting to learn about the horrors 😭😭😭 even she knows this probably isn't normal.

Okay and then brief timeskip to post-reunion with PC/Ph

They're silly 🙏😭 I think post-show they keep in contact. Ink mentioned Strawb might take up cooking so they do that together...among various other pastimes (like throwing rocks at lakes LMAO) 🤔🤔 subconsciously this is also Strawberry's way of looking out for her failguy 😭

Idk maybe this is ooc. I don't care they mean a lot2me 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Also. Pushing the lesbian Strawberry agenda. That's what they're referring to in the last panel LOL.

Also x2 I feel like she'd be like. Maybe not ACTIVELY discouraging like Yogurt, but when Oreo starts hanging out with Ph and PC again Strawberry is like ". Are you sure."

I think the way she sees it it's like. Those bridges are burned so it's better to just not bother. She's not all that attached to the conflict like Oreo is but I think she definitely knows what happened. And she's just kinda like "well shit". And she knows whenever Ph and PC came up it'd put Oreo in a weird mood. So again it's her way of looking out for him by essentially telling him he should just move on 😞. Which is helpful in some cases but not this one I don't think.

And then when the och dynamic starts shifting toward all 3 of them getting together she's like 🤨🤨🤨🤨

It's very strange having Strawberry's character and applying it to a friendship. I'm out here making this shit up as I go. I have this thought that Strawb also tells Camera (yuri....they bonded at Elimination Island or smthn) about all of this. And Camera tells her she can suggest things all she wants but it's ultimately up to Oreo what he does. So Strawberry takes a step back and just lets Oreo do his thing.

It ends up working out as u know ^_^ and her and Oreo continue to be friends. She gets to know Pudding Cup also. Police Hat not so much but they tolerate each other's presence (and Ph can appreciate that she was there for Oreo in her own way).

Welcome back ✌️ LMFAO I accidentally hit the publish button and went "oh FUCK" bc atp I was only halfway done 😭😭 BUT HERE WE ARE

Okay so we're back during s2. And for preliminary context this is like a behind the scenes cast interview.

I think this is the first time I've ever drawn Oreo like. Really mad. Very surreal to see him like that 😭😭😭 <-- said the mf who drew it

Anyway...rare moment where his self-hatred manifests as anger rather than depression. I feel like he gets these kinda questions a lot in general and he's really tired of it 😞😞 constantly being reminded of ur greatest failures does that to you. I don't think he likes being angry either ie the last 2 panels. But at this point in time he's more angry at himself than anything so when/if he snaps at other people it's like "hey asshole they didn't even do anything to you" and it makes things worse for him. The human mind is very complex I just be making shit up about characters 😭😭😭 is this even in character idfk

On a lighter note....his hair is kinda fun to draw.....so puffy ^_^ very cloud like.

Anyway x2 about the production of s2 ie the context behind that mf comic. I think bc OI's popularity hit its peak when the show started getting rlly dramatic, s2 wanted to really lean into that direction, which is also why they tried to get some of the veterans back on board bc a lot of them have unfinished business.

In particular the 3 already on s2, Orange and Watermelon, Ph and PC, maybe Fire Axe, and Ipad. Basically ppl with unresolved conflict, interesting personalities, and good performance on s1 (Ipad came 2nd in the rejoin vote so I'm including him + he's silly I like him). And the cast would've been about half veterans and half newbies. But as u know the majority of potential veterans said "fuck that" so there's only the 3 LMAO

The meta reason it's only those 3 is bc that's what Asaph projected for the s2 veterans like years ago. I'm aware this is my AU and I can do whatever I want but I like this setup ^_^ I like restricting interactions for the duration of s2 bc it gives a lot of time for characters who reunite later to marinate and change. It's more interesting to me :3

Quickly touching base on the ppl who said no to s2. Ph and PC have obvious reasons, I think Ipad was busy with a tech startup (^_^), Fire Axe was actually considering going back to potentially win something for his family but they were all like "HELL NO" so he was like "okay I won't ^_^' ", Orange is uhhhhh getting therapy I think!!! Good for him. And Watermelon decided she had better things to do. Thinking abt her character outside of the show is interesting but I'll save that for another time 🤔🤔🤔

BACK ON TRACK as I said s2 leaned more into the dramatic aspects from the beginning. So most of the challenges/script are kinda set up to cause drama (this is my excuse for Oreo and Sandwich interacting LMFAO) but also they do like. Interviews with questions sent in by fans/production to stir the pot bts. As seen in the comic :3

Obviously this affects a lot of the cast u can use your imagination but in specifically Oreo's case uhhhhhhhh yeah. Not good for his mental health. Tbh I think being on s2 made him waaaaay worse than he would be if he hadn't been there. The camera pressure + being in proximity with someone (Sandwich) who hates him + keeping up appearances of being a chill guy even tho he is so Not Chill at all times. No bueno. 不好。

I've never mentioned it Here but he does get eliminated at some point. Stealing ideas from Ink pt3 but it happens by voting for himself in a tiebreaker between him and Strawberry and he loses by his own vote. It was mostly done out of being loyal/not wanting to vote for Strawb but I think at that point he was also So tired of being there 😭😭😭 he joined s2 so he didn't have to deal with the real world but s2 pulled the uno reverse card on him. I think this happens arounnnnnnd mid-game. He's still on set for the duration of the show but most of the camera pressure is off him at least. (Sandwich and Strawb's placements are still up for debate but both of them make it farther than him. Unsure if either of them win; kinda leaning no on that but we'll see)

So post-elimination his attitude relaxes a bit ^_^ he doesn't really start getting better until after he reunites with PC and Ph but making that decision was a step in the right direction. Spoilers (I think??? Idr if I've mentioned this) it was also his decision to reach out to them first but THAT'S FOR ANOTHER TIME. I will draw a comic of it at some point ^_^ but yeah.

Also I think Strawb eventually figures out/is told Oreo voted for himself which influences her to keep being his friend/look out for him post-show 😭😭 maybe that's too soft but AAAAAAUGH I'm a softie at heart. I love friendship.

Aaaaand silly drawing to finish it off ^_^ Strawb trying to get him to be more like her in the sense of like. Using violence as an emotional outlet (ie throwing rocks at lakes like I mentioned before teehee). But Oreo's not a violent guy so. Like he'll join her in activities bc it's nice spending time with ppl outside the context of his fuckups but he's not doing it bc he needs an outlet ykwis.

I think even post-healing and allat he still continues with some of the hobbies he picked up from Strawb ^_^ he probs already knew how to cook but I'm saying like woodcarving. Rockskipping (Strawb Does Not rockskip she just throws those mfs as far as she can). Etc etc ^_^ so cute.....I think he likes making little animals and leaving them around for PC/Ph to find....SOOOO CUTE giggling kicking my feet AHEM anyways

Okay dat's it for drawings. I don't think I've mentioned this but like last year around exam time I got an anon ask on Tumblr....it was from someone who recently watched OI and they said they rlly like NC AU and I was like 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 AAAAAA......made me so happy >w< ^_^

But like another reason I bring this up is bc they asked if I had a story for it. Tbh I don't think I ever will write out like a complete story for it bc the structure of this AU isn't rlly compatible with that? The main story takes place over 2 years at the very least with the notable events scattered throughout that timeframe, plus there are multiple characters to follow at any given point. Ik the AU mostly centers around och but like.......eventually I'll touch on some of the other characters' storylines ^_^ or at the very least what they're up to. Sandwich/Fire Axe I'll definitely visit asp. I've also been thinking abt Orange/Watermelon recently.........

Like if I were to make an NC AU story it would really just be a collection of oneshots arranged in chronological order lol. Basically an anthology. But it would also include all of the comics and drawings I have and will make because I'm not writing all that 😭😭😭 Some things I feel are better written vs drawn yk.

Fun fact btw the NC AU oneshot I wrote a few weeks ago was originally just gonna be a comic/drawing collection but I thought abt it more and I realized it was too big a scope to fit in one art chapter so I was like "fuck it I'm making a oneshot". I'll probably still make some drawings based around it lol.

Btw I realized I've never laid out a timeline for NC AU. I mean the order of general events is pretty self explanatory but I'm talking like quantifiable time.

Basically.
-- OI s1 gets canceled and p much everyone goes their separate ways. (btw I think OI s1 lasts nearly a year....abt a month between episodes. YES I KNOW REALITY TV USUALLY AIRS ONCE A WEEK I'LL GET BACK TO THIS)

-- ~6 months later OI s2 is announced, veteran invites go out, and that ball starts rolling.

-- ~1 year after OI s1 ends, PC and Ph run into each other and start rekindling their friendship. Slight change to the Coffee Talk oneshot btw!! They never had each other's contact before since I did some reality show research and generally contestants aren't allowed to have contact with the outside world. Basically no phones unless it's for the show. (So they had each other's contact on their show phones but not their regular phones).....Ignore the scene where PC texts her friend (technically Parasol here) in ep 9 that doesn't exist teehee..................... ^_^;;;

.......this does raise some questions abt how Ph is able to do his own officer work during the show like I've implied. Fuck me man. I hate AU logistics. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe he doesn't. I'll have to change some things FUCK ME, MAN AAAAAAUGH ahem anyway what was I saying (okay but like in-universe why the fuck did Ph join a competition reality show like what the fuck man)

-- OI s2 lasts for like ~1 1/2 years, maybe more. PC and Ph get together sometime during this timeframe! (So by the time they reunite with Oreo they've been together for a year at most.)

-- Some time (few months?) after s2 ends Oreo reaches out to PC and Ph and that part of the plot starts rolling. It takes even more time for them all to get together but the idea is that it happens EVENTUALLY.

-- Some time during (or after) the above timeframe Fire Axe and Sandwich also reunite. I will elaborate on this.

Okay. Phew. That's basically all the super major events I have for now. I have more events in my brain but those can wait for a while I'm going insane with it as is 😭😭😭

Okay so like I said before irl reality tv episodes air like every week so whyyyyy does it take a month here. Personally it doesn't make a lot of sense for me if it's a week between episodes >.> that's not enough time for the necessary relationships (Orangemelon, och, etc) to develop and make sense for why they have the impact that they do.

I mean maybe it does?????? Time is weird to me. It certainly seems in canon OI abt a month passes between episodes. My thinking is that-- at least for NC AU-- the structure for filming episodes is that they'll have a challenge day(s?), and the rest of the month that isn't part of the challenge is for building relationships and etc (aka the parts of the episode that aren't related to/take place during the challenge).

Some scenes in episodes 9 and 10 feature a town....I choose to believe that it's part of the set ^_^ and that way the contestants have somewhere to hang out that isn't just the competition area LMAO

Hopefully this all is believable ^_^;;; I'm trying to cobble everything together so that it makes sense in a world that functions similarly to ours. I'm not seeing any super glaring timeline or setting errors but if you do please point it out <:3

Okay I think that's it for general timeline things. I promised I would elaborate on Sandaxe so I will.

They also don't have each other's regular contact so they go for years without talking and etc. But sometime while s2 is happening Fire Axe and Ph run into each other while on the job (firefighter and police officer lol) and Fire Axe offers to catch up whenever they're free. Ph still feels guilt over Fire Axe's elimination btw lmfao but he agrees and they exchange info. So they meet up and have a convo and Fire Axe expresses he doesn't feel any malice towards Ph or PC for what they did. And Ph is like ". okay. (Still feels guilty but give him some time)". And they keep in touch and talk occasionally from there ^_^

Meanwhile with Oreo and Sandwich, sometime during s2 Sandwich kinda dumps on Oreo abt Fire Axe's elimination bc he's still feeling things abt it. Stealing ideas from Ink pt4 (I am a menace to society) they have this back and forth abt whose """fault""" it is and Sandwich ends up telling Oreo he voted for Fire Axe to kinda teach him a lesson abt the dangers of being too nice. Very weird and roundabout way of saying that was his way of caring for him. (Meanwhile Oreo's sitting there like "wtf okay man")

But Sandwich never told Fire Axe that. The convo doesn't rlly go anywhere regarding improving their relationship, but the important thing is that Oreo remembers it. Timeskip to after och reunion and eventually Oreo ends up talking to Fire Axe. The dynamic between those 2 is also interesting but I'll save it for another time (AKA I'm drawing a mf comic). Topic ends up on Sandwich and Fire Axe is like "yeah I wish I could talk to him again but idk.... ^_^;; not sure if he'd want to talk to me yk...." and Oreo realizes he can do something for them here. Idk how he gets into contact with Sandwich (I don't think he has Sandwich's regular contact bc they don't rlly end up friends like he and Strawb do) but he gets a hold of Sandwich somehow. And he asks Sandwich and Fire Axe separately "hey do you want to talk to each other again" and they're both like ".........yeah". So he sets them up to meet each other ^_^ 

....Gang I'll be honest idk if Sandaxe becomes real in NC AU.....I'm sorry Sandaxe nation............ I think for them to have a chance Sandwich seriously needs to do some character growth... Fire Axe still cares abt Sandwich and he's willing to be friends (or at the very least let bygones be bygones) but they're too fundamentally different to have a relationship and that's kind of the meat of what Fire Axe ends up telling Sandwich. spoilers btw. I'd love to elaborate further but this is the mf Oreo and Strawberry (and NC timeline I guess) chapter. So I will elaborate another time. AKA I'm drawing a comic. Do you see the depths of my insanity. <-- average AU creator

Siiiiiiiiiiigh..........okay I think that's it. Unrelated but I finally watched Sonic 2 and 3 ^_^ my friend streamed it for me during the snow day. Sonic 2 was ultimately very fun but Sonic 3 man.............. 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔no spoilers but holy shit dude. I really enjoyed it though ^_^ I had a killer headache afterwards though probably bc that was like 6 hours of watching a screen LOL but I'm okay now.
