HIGH SCHOOL IS OVER. I AM DONE.

Anyways hiiiiii. AP exams are done so now I actually have free time!! Probably???? No promises.

Remember when I said I had more Lumine stuff featuring train shenanigans??? Yeah now's the time for that.

Also new Zelda game dropped and it's cool!! Watching RT's VODs right now.

Anyway. Train murder time.

Spoilers for Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog btw

So this is a take on Actually Dead AU in which Lumine is with the gang and Espio accidentally kills Sonic (but he has no idea)

And when at the end Sonic is brought to the Conductor car Lumine can instantly tell Sonic is straight up dead because she sucks up his soul passively. And they all know about her ability so they know she's telling the truth.

And Espio is absolutely stricken because oh fuck!!! That wasn't supposed to happen!! But Lumine can instantly tell it's him because of the sudden darkness in his soul.

So she confronts him, he says "yeah I'm gonna come clean" and at the same time Tails and the Protagonist accuse Espio and he goes "um....yeah I  killed him."

And a big ol argument happens, eventually Espio and Lumine get across the idea that it was an accident (Vector is also on Espio's side here, but he doesn't know what actually happened either. Just defending his bestie). Lumine gets the idea to summon Sonic's soul to possess her body and she does that.

So Sonic tells his side of things, tells everyone the train's a badnik, and the finale stays more or less the same. And then basically this happens.

Fun Fact I drew that last panel just today. Everything else is from a few weeks ago.

Anyway they do a big group hug, Sonic gives everyone a personal goodbye, and dips. And that's basically it!!!

There's another version of this where Lumine's the protagonist so she knows right from the start Sonic's dead. She tells Tails and Amy and the main difference is that the investigation has much higher stakes and everyone joins the group as they move through the train.

Like before, Lumine knows Espio did it the moment she sees him but this time he's more evasive!! Another difference. He also knows he killed Sonic but the train threatened to hurt everyone if he spilled the beans. So now he's lying his ass off and throwing the investigation because he doesn't want anyone else hurt while murder guilt is looming over him while also looking for an opportunity to strike back.

I. I am realizing only now that Lumine could just ask Sonic's soul "hey who killed you" but I mean maybe she didn't think to do that idk. This AU is technically the first time she's done this.

But yeah fun times!!
