I told myself I wasn't gonna start writing this chapter until I finished PC's colors but I feel like I'm going through blorbo withdrawl I HAVE to talk about my sillies or I'll go insane 😭😭😭😭😭 (I haven't drawn anything in like a day) is this what a mental illness feels like. Chat.

I also did an object version for fun ^_^ he's got extra fabric stitched over where his hair would cover it.

The hair is natural btw. Look if dragons exist in this universe then I think people can have naturally blue hair. Or something!

Admittedly black hair Police Hat is really growing on me. I've always imagined his hair as some kind of brown but I've never rlly been able to find a shade that I like LOL. It might also be because of the Japanese Ph hc. East Asians am I right.

Alsooooo I think Dragon Ph's eyes are darker/more desaturated than I would have og Ph..... 🤔🤔🤔 idk. All I know is that I wanted his eyes to be a darker shade than I usually imagine Ph's eyes to be (it's the Horrors).

The dragon looks quite cute actually. Idk I've never been able to draw scary things well.

Alsooooo Ph really should be much MUCH smaller in comparison but I'm no good at spatial awareness 😊😊😊😊

SORRY TANGENT but I woke up this morning to a comment on the Ao3 vers of my oneshots saying like 'do you fw oreocuphat' AND I WAS ABOUT TO BE LIKE 'UM YEAH' but I think they deleted it b4 I could reply so uh. Hashtag rip

....side tangent but I looked at their profile and they have some Klance Voltron fics in their bookmarks and it made me go like. "Huh!" I know exactly 2 ppl who are OI (or at least know Oreocuphat) and Voltron fans. I got my eye on u.

Anyway. Where was I. Okay so my current idea for Ph lore is that when he was....like 6 or 7.....he was caught up in a dragon attack. He lived through it but his face got fucked up (+sustained other bodily injuries) and his immediate family members all. Died. 💀 plus a bunch of other ppl who were living there.

The scene above is basically his strongest memory of it......he got separated from his fam and came face to face with one of the dragons and while its attention was immediately taken off of him it was like. He rlly thought he was going to die.

And then later on he was adopted by dragon hunters and introduced to that life and u know the rest 😊

However comma Ph is not as vindictive towards dragons as some of his uhhh colleagues. He does what he does to protect ppl from going through what happened to him. ....I feel like I had more to say but the words aren't coming to mind :/

Anyway. I need to study for my midterm 😭😭😭😭😭 this is the last big thing I have to do before break I JUST WANNA BE FREE RAAAAAAH I'm gonna bite people.

HI 😁😁😁😁😁😁 It's Thanksgiving break................

Pudding Cup time. I drew a whole page of her LOL

The lineart is so messy bc I did half of this while riding a bus LOL but I like the messy style tbh. Fuck perfect lineart I'm here to have fun 😊😊😊😊😊

ANYWAY. Pudding Cup!!!!!!!! <33333333 I did cut the green from her design compared to last time but I think I like how she turned out.......

Her hair is supposed to emulate fire ^_^ I also added a new streak to the back LOL. I kept the red-orange eyes from last time but also added in golden flecks.......

....the gradient wings make her look like a WoF character to me. Is that just me. I changed her tail a bit too <3 she's got a featherduster on the end of it now (she 100% puts it in Oreo and Ph's (ESPECIALLY Ph) faces to shut them up).

I debated giving her horns but decided against it for now 🤔 there's a lot going on at/near the top of her head design-wise already, plus she looks fine without them. I do like the sleekness of having just the uhhhh. They're not antennae. Whiskers...???? They're not in the right place to be called whiskers. Shrug :/ anyway. I might give her full dragon form horns tho......

I also kept the jean jacket! It doesn't rlly look like a jean jacket the design is wrong BUT I like the way it looks so whaaatever. I do like the blue, it helps even out her color palette ^_^ I didn't draw her shoes bc. I didn't want to. But I imagine she wears something like combat boots.

Her little dragon form isn't 100% accurate or finalized, she theoretically should have spines going up to her head and a mane(?) like a lot of Asian dragons do. But yeah there she is :3

OH I showed this to my sis while I was working on it and she thought this was a guy at first LOLLL gnc design win 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

AND THEN I drew a comic GUUUYYYYYS I feel so powerful since I was able to draw this over the course of a day. If I was still having class this would've taken me at least 3 days to do. I'm gonna draw soooo many fucking comics this week LMFAO

OKAY!!!! Basically here PC and Ph are disagreeing. As they do. Pudding Cup gets pissed @ him and accidentally triggers a trauma response. Yk how he got stared down by a dragon when he was rlly young. Yeaaaaaahhhhhh........essentially whenever he gets stared down he'll like. Freeze in place. He can't control that reaction and he hates it 😔

New lore drops also ^_^ I was talking with my sis abt Dragon AU and she made me think abt some of the lore and story more.

So! At the time that the main story takes place, dragons are like an endangered species. They take a looong time to reproduce and mature, so the whole hunting thing isn't really helping. HOWEVER, dragon hunters aren't the only ppl involved with dragons.

To make the whole setting more realistic, I always had it in the back of my mind that there are a lot of different attitudes towards dragons. This includes hunters, ppl who think they're cool, indifferent ppl, ppl who are cautious towards them....and ppl who make profit off of them.

I call them dragon poachers for now...a poacher and a hunter can be one and the same, or they can be in business, whatever. Essentially a poacher will take dragon products- scales, horns, hide, etc. and sell them as luxury items on like...idk the black market or something. (And tbh dragon products DO have magic properties; I had an idea that consuming dragon parts can make you immortal/give you powers but I'll save that for another comic.)

However, this also includes dragon eggs. I think I've said before that dragons live on another plane of existence, but I made up some new lore abt how they HAVE to lay and hatch their eggs on Earth, so the hatchlings can acclimate to their natural powers. Unfortunately this means that eggs can be stolen. And once they're gone, the dragon will have to wait like. At least 100 years before they can hatch another one.

Sooo when Pudding Cup mentions offspring getting stolen.... ^_^' yeah. It's really devastating for a dragon whenever that happens. And yk natural habitat destruction in this setting also means less nesting spots for dragons. I MEAN LIKE IT'S BAD IN GENERAL but yk.

So Pudding Cup DOES have a more solid motivation now; now I have it so that she came to Earth of her own volition to like. Steal eggs back from humans ^_^ It's also why Oreo and Ph's help is rlly valuable, since she has No Fucking Idea how people work. I mean she knows from other dragons, but she's rarely been to Earth herself.

I thiiink that covers the new dragon/Pudding Cup lore.....onto what's going on with Police Hat ^_^

Being a hunter but also involuntarily freezing whenever u get stared down is obviously problematic. Ph usually has hunting mates to help him out, BUT as a last resort mechanism, he has an additional artifact he can use to defend himself ^_^ It's masked with anti-detection magic or something which is why PC doesn't realize it's an artifact (like she did with his cards in an earlier comic) until she sees him use it.

Idk what kind of dragon power it uses...but it's not like a generic element-type dragon. It's more abstract 🤔 using it doesn't affect him negatively btw, he just collapsed from emotional stress lol.

Dragon Oreocuphat is soooo fascinating to me bc of shit like this btw. The Policecup side of it is literally enemies to lovers. Now I STILL don't know if it's canon and if so, how the fuck does it even happen, but I am a creature of habit 💔💔💔 there's definitely a lot of perspective-taking involved, even if just in their regular friendship. And Oreo being a middle ground between them definitely does help LOL.
