Okay so I ended up drawing a whole chapter of Dogman instead of part of one like I thought I was going to. LOL.

It's been a while since I've had to learn to draw new characters so these are my first practice drawings of them. Minimal reference usage bc I did these while listening to an async lecture and I didn't have my phone on me LOL

I tried to make them look a little more anthro but I wasn't really vibing with it 🤨🤨🤨🤨 could also be bc it was my first time drawing them so I wasn't used to it.

Second round ^_^ idk I guess I'm more comfortable drawing characters closer to on model. I will say though Petey doesn't rlly feel like Petey to me. I think I draw him too soft and round🤨🤨🤨 but atp I'm willing to chalk that up to artstyle LOL multiple ppl have told me my style is very soft and friendly looking. This way of drawing them feels like I'm drawing Sonic characters tbh bc I use the same uhhh. Like. Body sketching plan.

OKAY so I didn't actually know these are called whale eyes I just knew it as "the funny thing dogs do sometimes". Based it off of the specific image talking abt this ^_^

For a while I was getting Dogman in my YT reccommended and I saw an edit of this song with these two and the way I started tearing up 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 IT'S SO THEM (<- has never actually listened to the full song)

I had an idea of also making a Grace and baby Petey version. And I would put those two versions in a gif maker so it would alternate between the two of them. I LOOOVE PARALLELS 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Grace is so awesome. #DeadMomSociety . I heart mom characters I HEART CHARACTERS WHO WORK SO HARD TO BE LOVING AND COMPASSIONATE DESPITE THE HORRORS 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 actually top tier character type I strive to be like them 😭😭😭😭😭

Heh. Lol. Saw this post and thought of these two immediately. Actually that's a lie bc I first thought of Dragon PC and Ph but then went "actually wait a minute."

It's really funny bc I posted those first 6 imgs to Tumblr like 2? Days ago as of writing this as opposed to waiting until I publish the chapter and THEN posting to Tumblr like I usually do. But I was struggling soooo bad bc I just had these sitting in my camera roll and I didn't want to start writing a new chap until I had more BUT I wanted to do something with my art so bad bc it's been so long (2 weeks) and I was going a little insane 😭😭 etc etc there's a few different other things I was at war with but in the end I was like. Okay. Tumblr it is. EASIEST 100+ notes of my life dawg sometimes I forget how insane fandoms are LOL it was like that one time I had a small Kirby phase. Some of my art from that time has 500 notes like damn okay guys chill

Tbh most of the work probably came from bigger blogs reblogging my posts LOL (you know who you are. Big massive grin) but anyway.

SPEAKING OF PEOPLE. God I love Swap AU 😭😭😭💪💪💪💪💪 It was really funny bc I wanted to draw SwapxCanon interactions but then Inkulous Peanuthead Jonkerson beat me to it and I was like NOOOO I WANTED TO DO IT FIRST 😭😭😭😭😭 LMFAO.

BIG FAT PROPORTIONS L ON THE SECOND IMG but who cares. Definitely not me. This is based on how Dogman will sleep under the overpass he and Knight used to stay at  when he's going through it. And how Petey + Lil Petey will keep him company 😭😭😭😭 I imagine in the first panel Petey is also in his feelings abt something. Thinking abt how special this place must be to Dogman for him to constantly come back here to feel a connection to someone he loves. Thinking abt his own mom somewhere in the back of his head 😭😭😭 That's why he looks so pensive and that's why he reaches down to pet Dogman in 2nd panel. Comfort for both of them in a sense 😭😭😭😭

Sighs deeply. Dogs who constantly return to special places of their late companions/owners. Oh to have a dog's forever love and loyalty 😭😭😭😭 Love you 5ever Swap Dogman and Hachiko.

I''m gonna be ill. Man and his dog 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 do you think Knight knew he was going to effectively die. I mean. Okay he was dying ANYWAY but. Urghhhh idk man I am just sitting here. I had a thought that Knight would've comforted Greg before the surgery bc maybe he knew his dog would live but he would die. And he wanted Greg to know that that was okay and that he was okay with that. And also provide some levity so Greg's last memory of him wouldn't be sad 😭😭😭😭

I really like the 2nd and 3rd panels ^_^ 2nd I took a pic of myself for reference bc god forbid I try to freehand that pose LOLLLL it turned out really cool. Tbh. Like the reveal of his completely bandaged head and his hand reaching forward. In any other scenario I think it would be creepy as hell but here it's like. Hm. Idk it just feels sad to me. I also tried out a little crosshatching too bc I felt like it 😊😊😊 and the 3rd panel I just like composition-wise.

And then I made an AU bc I am Not immune to The Bug. Say hi to my fuckass Knight Resurrection/Clone AU.

So this specific drawing was inspired by a Tumblr post actually. It was like "what if instead of came back Wrong it was came back Afraid". And so I think in this specific context someone brought Knight's head back to life and was able to recreate his body. If I want to be EXTRA evil I can say it was Dr. Scum that brought Knight back 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 which to him would put Knight in his debt. For evil purposes.

And bc this version of the AU is inspired by that post Knight is very Different I think. Having come back from being dead for a few years(?) probably does shit to you. But it's mostly in the realm of, again, coming back Afraid. He's pretty normal otherwise.

Now tbh if I wanted to be more canon compliant idk if it would work this way bc Knight is just a sillydumb guy with a heart of gold if I remember right. Idk if being brought back from the dead would change his courage I feel like he would think it's awesome LOL. But I still think Dr. Scum would be able to twist Knight into thinking he's a good guy 🤔🤔 brought him back to life, vendetta against Petey, etc etc. Bc Knight wouldn't know jack shit abt Scum or how Petey has changed for the good 😭😭😭

I can see this AU going a few different ways depending on if I think abt it seriously or more canon compliant. For example if I wanted to be more silly I can see Knight being like "can I go out and see Greg pleeeeaaaaasssssseeeeee 🥺🥺🥺🥺" and Scum would be like "yes but you need to do this thing for me first it's only fair....." and it's just a bunch of Knight unwittingly helping this evil guy bc he doesn't know better yet 😭😭😭 and at some point Knight and Dogman finally reunite and it's awesome and Knight tells Dogman how he came back to life and Dogman gives him the "are u kidding me rn" look. I think I can see Dogman being somewhat conflicted also bc on one hand EVIL GUY but on the other he brought Knight back....and asp this news reaches Petey who is like "Dogman. FUCK this guy." And Dogman's mind is made up from there. And they also have to convince Knight 1) Dr. Scum is bad and 2) Petey is a good guy now.

At the climax of the plot Dr. Scum shows his hand bc. Cartoon bad guy. And then they all defeat him and everything is good yippee ^_^ conversely the more serious version of this plot features a lot more existential dread and fear on Knight's part. It'd definitely be harder to get Knight to switch sides I think. Also might feature ✨️emotional blackmail✨️ by Dr. Scum. Ala the pic I drew 😭😭😭😭

Now I DID say "this version of the AU". This is bc. I technically made 2 AUs. This happened bc I was thinking abt the Ressurection AU like "okay this is awesome but I want something more silly". So I also made the Clone AU. Which is that Knight gets brought back via a cloning machine like the one used to make Lil Petey. So he also gets brought back as a kid 😭😭😭😭 LOL. So the Knight Clone AU is 100% silliness pretty much.

I have actually seen a few concept AUs of Knight being brought back from the dead but most of them made Knight evil and want revenge fsr 😭😭😭😭 but that's neither here nor there

Knight Clone AU.....EL WIWI 😭😭😭😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺 I think the angstiest thing abt this AU is that Dogman is Hyper Protective of Knight. Bro is scared of losing his best friend again.

In my mind there is a thought that Dogman might be hesitant to let Petey around Knight. Rationally he knows Petey wouldn't seriously hurt him on purpose like he KNOWS that but there's just a lingering apprehension. Trauma is soooo great guys.

I like to think Chief basically adopts Knight 😁😁😁😁 Chief is also really protective I think. Never talk to me or my son ever again sounding ass. Petey in the corner bc I thought it was funny LOL

Guys sometimes a family is a dog-man hybrid, his boss, the lady who came up with that idea, a reformed villian, and two clones. Peace and love in Dogman nation

Something I also think might be funny. I think Knight Clone ends up having some of Dogman's mannerisms just from picking it up from him 😭😭😭 Lil bro WILL bark at you. This is bc Knight originally stays with Dogman until Chief finds out and Chief is like. "Hey Dogman maybe you should uh. Let me take care of him. I'm sure you're doing great but he should probably be raised by other humans." Lol.

And then a multidrawing page bc I wouldn't be able to fit everything in otherwise LOLLLL. Left is a redraw of the fucking. "FLINT LOCKWOOD" meme with Chief bc I couldn't stop thinking abt it. Upper right is GRACE bc I couldn't just NOT draw her 😭😭😭😭 my coat (cat of all time)

I think I need to replace my pencils. Tbh. I've been trying to think abt why I haven't been feeling like drawing lately and I'm thinking better pencils might motivate me more. The ones I use rn are so short to the point I physically can't sharpen them so they're getting pretty blunt. And that makes drawing kinda difficult!! I like using pencils until I can't anymore bc otherwise it feels like I'm wasting them 😭😭😭 so I'll probably keep them around for sketching but use a longer pencil for solid lines.

Also. Lol. New TPaHK chapters went CRRRAAAAZY my ass is gonna make art of them this is not a promise it is a THREAT. Fuuuuucccck I have so much I wanna draw all the damn time GET ME OUT OF HERE.

Also also FUUUUCCCCCK TPOT 17 went CRAZY. I won't talk spoilers but FUUUUUCCCCCCCCCKKKKK this show is getting insane dawg. I mean like more insane than it already is. HELL.
