So you wanna learn how to draw faces. Or more specifically, expressions.
These two topics are some of the most difficult, yet, the most simplistic of all steps of creating..well, art, and bringing a character's personality to life.
Though, Expressions don't only limit to your face. They can affect the way you stand, move, or even talk. Though, let's just start with faces, since that's the first step of learning how to carry out expressions.

When it comes to making a character's feelings visible, specifically on their face, that itself can be split into 4 main categories. That includes the nose, eyes, mouth, and eyebrows. I'm going to go over each of these topics, but feel free to look at each chapter of this book as needed.

Eyes. The windows to the soul, so on and so forth. The first step to drawing eyes would be the type of eye you are going for, since this can depend majorly on art style. A few examples could include:

Rounded

Usually used for visually innocent or bubbly characters. These characters also tend to look cute. This can be carries out a number of ways, from cartoony, minimalistic, to anime or detailed. This style is widely used in cartoons, such as Power Puff Girls, Spongebob, or even Midoriya from BNHA. Examples:

Squared

Rectangular shaped eyes show off a more calm, muscular personality in characters. They tend to be on the more neutral, serious, less emotional or dramatic side of character design, and work well for most passive, casual expressions. Examples include:

Pointed

These eyes try to aim towards the more 'angry', 'upset', or maybe just 'don't mess with me or I'll kill every one you love' tones
Or, you know, they could just be serious or somewhat sinister-
