ok why the fuck do people hate him?

whenever i ask that, everyone says "because he changed so fast and wouldnt be firestar's friend"

like, he had to. especially after the entire mudclaw accident. think of it this way:

onewhisker, the random warrior who was appointed deputy at the last moment. his clan has relied on mudclaw for moons, and mudclaw has been looking forward to his leadership: then its all swiped away.

mudclaw leads his rebellion, but fails. however, thunderclan help onewhisker win this fight. he still seems highly dependant on his friends across the border, and the majority of his clan dont think hes fit to be leader.

so, in order to prevent another rebellion and prove himself in a way, he cuts off all ties with thunderclan.

makes sense, doesn't it?

he was a good cat who did the right thing, but in firestar's eyes it was rude. onestar had to prove his loyalty to windclan any way he could, and leaving firestar was the best way to do that.
