Come hither, for I shall die, die to be forgotten
Unloved by the offspring that I have begotten
Paid the price of sealing my fate with one not destined for me
It is a price, paid for ignoring Eros, weaver of destiny
Die I shall now, but not ever, the love I have for thee

Like summer of June I remember you,
Only to forget like blossoms of Spring,
Vain is the search for your heart like leaves lost to Autumn winds,
Even if we held together like snowflakes during Winter squall,
Ruptured we, like lightning before thunderstorm.

Cupids adore a lover's heart.
Ubiquitous, unabashedly besotted,
Passionate, pious, pessimistic, pallid.
Impulsive and so unlike the other.
Dreadful, really, that they easily shatter.
Honorable Mention
Almost every wish I dream, like
Delicate traces of lips seam
Only tender skin tongues trace
Revealing willing lips embrace
Eternally true to our hearts gleam

Ladies and gentlemen, will you please stand,
Opal promises entwined with the rings on our hand,
Vanilla skies above us, on this fine day,
Everyone watching as you make your way,
Remember this day, I shall, forever and ever.
