Chapter 1
"Your not going to this 'magic' school and thats the end of it." My Grandmother answered coldly without looking up from her knitting.
"But, I have too. I have this strong feeling that bring a witch is my calling card in life!" I flailed my arms around.
"Eve, you are a lady. Not some kind of witch. You are not going to throw away our new life for this school!" Her icy blue eyes dared me to challenge her.
"Fine." I huffed and stared at the passing trees.
A single brown owl flew by catching a small rodent, as the train chugged along the track.
...
A few hours later we finally arrived in London.
I slipped my knitted beanie over my light brown hair, as I exited the train.
My Grandmother tapped my shoulder and gestured for me to follow her threw the crowds of people.
I hoisted my leather case up and followed quietly.
Our flat was very pretty, if I do say so myself. It was made of brick and had a dark green front door, with ivy climbing the walls. A grey a black striped Tabby cat sat on our porch licking it's paw.
"I told you, you would like it." My Grandmother smiled down at me.
"Ya it seems alright." I shrugged and went to open the door.
The inside of the house was fairly simple, small kitchen on the right, a round dining table to the left and ahead a small living room with two hall ways on either side.
"Your room is on the right, mine on the left, dinner is at six." And with that my Grandmother went to the left hallway, and I heard a door close.
My room was plain. Boring. Nothing compared to the one back in the homeland. The walls were white will pale wood floors. A single desk a and chair in one coner, and a dresser in another. My bed sat up against a wall with two windows on either side, and moth eaten drapes over them.
"Ugh." I flopped back into my bed and dust flew up around me.
Knock-knock-knock
"Eve get the door!" My Grandmother called from her side of the house.
"Got it!" I yelled back.
I crawled out of bed to go open the door.
An elderly man clad in light purple stood in the door way, his long salt and pepper beard had been braided in some spots, and had spectacles on the brim if his nose.
"Hello Eve, I'm professor Dumbledore. There is alot we need to talk about." His eyes twinkled as he peered down at me.
