guess who made their own language
This gal here because I got bored in the car but hey I'm not one to complain
(The girl above is Kimberlee, once I digitize in like a billion years I'll go more in depth)
Vacimba - (va-kim-ba) - a language most widely used roughly in the first 500 years of the Alenae but has been narrowed down to be used by less than 5 speakers
(Kimber up there is actually one of the speakers fyi)
I really really need to update my A Guide to the Alenae book but I'm still working on the second subject (which are the Nateto, a lower subspecies of the Alenae)
So basically, there used to be a lot of Vacimbians out in the Alenae, most of them Natetonian and few of them being Rasiores. Vacimba is a very rare language in the Alenae, even then when it was more widely used, although it was more that the Natetos used it to communicate with each other rather than the Rasiore. As time went on, the Natetos started to dwindle to near-extinction and the Vacimba language started to die with it. Rasiores who owned Natetos tried and force them to teach them the language, most refusing and died as punishment (which is also why they're going to near-extincition)
The only part of the language that's kinda lasted are their own names I guess but if you have a unique name like Jessamine, there's a low chance you'll get to know it. If your name is pretty common like let's say Sophia, there's a high chance you'll get to know your name in Vacimba
Okok I'm going to try and explain it and it's kinda confusing so uh try and keep up haha
I'm going to use my name as an example btw
SO BASICALLY you locate the first vowel of a word (y's don't count unless it's the only one) and whatever the position is, so in my case the second letter, you insert the first letter of the number, then after that the vowel. The remaining letters of the number (in my case, w and o) will be turned backwards and be right after the vowel. After that is the first letter of the word (so for me, h). Okay, so here comes the confusing part. Depending on where the first vowel is, it's how manny letters on the end. So in my case, it would be ah because the first vowel in my name is in the second place so last two letters of my name.
HOWEVER, if the word ends with a vowel, it doesn't follow the last rule
Let's take Krysta's name for another example
The first vowel in her name is in the sixth place, so it'd start with s for the first letter of the number, then a fir the first vowel, then xi for the remaining letters of the number backwards, then k for the first letter of the word. Since her name enda with a bowel, she doesn't need to follow the last rule. Overall, her new name would be Saxik.
Names that start with an o or t (bc of the numbers one, two, or three) are super common while names that start with an f or s (or anything else) are less common
Comment your name in the language below!
If you can guess my name in the Vacimbia language, I'll give you a sketch request :)
