Theme 1 (Lin Manuel Miranda is the person on the left half, the right is me)

I really wanted to experiment with color on this one. Sorry if the linework is a bit messy, I'm not used to drawing finalized traditional pieces. Usually I only sketch and doodle traditionally, but I thought this would be fun to do. Lin Manuel Miranda is such an amazing composer. To anyone reading this: If you haven't listened to Hamilton, 21 Chump Street, and In the Heights please do so. Seriously his music is phenomenal. He manages to incorporate rap into a traditional showtunes style of music, and blends the two genres so perfectly that there is never a moment of disconnect between the two. It also helps convey emotion, like Usnavi's nervous rapping, when he is anxious and jealous while he is at a party, or when Hamilton is running out of time, and trying to convey all his final thoughts before he is shot. Lin also wrote the Moana soundtrack. Anyways I could on (for) forever about Lin and it's only a matter of time before my time is up , so here's the next theme.

Theme 2

I've been listening to the falsettos trio a lot lately, and I love this quote. Honestly there's so many good songs and quotes in there though. If anyone reading this hasn't listened to In trousers, March of the Falsettos and Falsettoland please do. In trousers includes what are probably some of my favorite songs of all time. The music's upbeat, sometimes emotional/sad, funny and overall great. I'm sorry for rambling, I just love these musicals.
