I woke up as usual, the sun beamed right in my. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. My 22 brothers and 23 sisters will be awaiting me. I quickly get out of bed and head to my personal shower. I like my showers piping hot. Especially when mother and father 'baptize' or 'be blessed' all of my 45 siblings in freezing water.

My skin burns as steam starts to rise outside my shower. It doesn't hurt at this point anymore. I got out of the shower and dried myself. I coughed up green stuff out of my mouth. I rub it off as I stare at the rusted mirror in front of my sink.

I knew soon enough I'll be sacrificed to our so called 'lord and savior' or also know as 'the beast' or 'our god' it's absurdly stupid. I replayed the things my family does as I threw on a white shirt, and some black pants.

There was a knock at my door. I quickly got out of the restroom and hid my personal box.

"Come in!"
I say innocently.

It's my brother. Split.

"Hey Splits what's up?"
I ask him.

Splits was silently as he quickly took me over to the corner of the room closing the door behind him.

"They took my fucking eyes."
Splits whispered to me.

I pause frozen in shock.

"Wha-"
I raised my brother's head up seeing his eyes were covered up by some white fabric. I slowly unwrapped it, he was right. He was completely blind.

"How did this happen?!"
I whisper to him loudly in worry.

"They're doing it to all of us Fangs."
He shuddered.

"What do you mean all of us?"
I ask.

"I mean all of us."
He said coldly.

"Splits who had already done this other than you so far?!"
I gasped wrapping the fabric back into my brother.

"Me, Claw, Zips, Orion, Thesis, Sky, Crayson, and by now Scruffy and Scrawny is doing it."
He listed out my siblings.

"Oh my-"
I paused not wanting to utter the beast's name.

"You know it's not a curse right?"
Splits reminded me.

"I rather not. I'll go check it ou-"
There was a scream from my brothers, that was Scrawny and Scruffy. They were one of my youngest brothers. And I was one of the eldest. My big sister instincts kicked in and I bolted out of my room.

I see Scrawny's eyes bleeding. And Scruffy holding a knife to his own leg.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?!"
I yelled quickly running up to them.

"Fangy...T-the be-beast is here! It's real!"
Scruffy sobbed.

Scrawny was breathing trying to ease the pain.

"Shhhh it's okay Scrawny."
I hugged scrawny as he sobbed, his eyes bleeding all over my white shirt.

"Fangs!"
It's my sister, Chip. Chip was holding some bandage and she was also wearing a bandage herself.

"Chip!"
I yelped to her as she tossed me the white fabric which I wrap around Scrawny.

"What happened?! Are you okay?"
I ask in a panic.

"The beast it's here."
She held her arm as she wrapped more bandage around her arms.

"What are you talking about?! The beast isn't real!"
I gasped trying to ease my brothers.

"It's telling us to do crazy things. We have to hide."
I froze again. An eerie feeling creeping up my spine.

I don't even know what it's from. Is it shock? Or a fight,flight,freeze response activating?

I never heard Chip tell us to hide. Chip is one of the middle child, but despite her age, she's quite muscular and tall. She could beat up anyone if she needed to. She never backs down from a fight and now she is?!

I snapped back to reality.

"Take Scrawny and Scruffy and hide. NOW!"
I demanded. Chip listened to me and quickly took the twins to hide.

I felt a warm sensation behind my back. I turn around slowly to see a black dragon like figure looking over me as the black ooze dripped on my leg. Which burns like acid. I regret getting a piping hot shower.

I scream in pain. This was the beast. They laughed with a raspy and glitched voice.

"LEAVE MY SISTER ALONE BEAST!"
My brother Mangrove and Magpie yelled in unison as they charged at the beast with the family sword.

They stabbed the beast right in the glowing green heart. It didn't move it simply grabbed them and tossed them aside. As Mangrove hits the wall with their arm a heard a loud crack.

"MANGROVE!"
I yelped and punched the Beast, which stung more. The black ooze dripping from my fist, allowing intense burns take hold of my hand.

Magpie limped over to me and Mangrove and we started to flee.

"This is Bullshit. Some of them are brainwashed hogs!"
Mangrove cursed.

"What? Is it just you, Magpie, Splints,Chip, Scrawny and Scruffy that know this is crap?!"
As much as I wanted to curse I didn't have the courage to.

"No Claw, Zips, Orion, Thesis, Sky, and Crayson are also none believers...but..."
Magpie slowed down sorrowed filled their eyes.

"No."
I gasped tears falling down my cheeks but we kept going until we found a safe spot.

"We put a spell here just in case the beast came close."
Thank the lights it's my sister Claw.

"Claw!"
I yelped.

"Thesis, Zipple medical attention now."
Claw ordered my siblings.

They take Mangrove away.

"What's happening?"
I ask in fear.

"I'll fill you in, but for now we have to fight the beast."
Claw was looking past me so I turned around seeing that goopy sinister beast smiling at us menacingly.

"Oh no."
I thought as I grabbed a nearby sword ready for battle.
