i'm sure most of you heard about the walkout, i participated at my school and about a third of the students walked out
there were some people who were really disrespectful and out there because they wanted to get out of class, but the vast majority were really supportive
we held up the sign shown in the drawing because it was a nonverbal way to say 'quiet' and it felt appropriate to have a symbol instead of saying 'shhh' at everyone else
eventually, we formed a circle and started chanting 'not one more' for about a minute, and then the 17 minutes for the 17 victims was over

it was really powerful though, i'm proud of our district for allowing us to participate

try to take care of yourselves, okay? being sick really is the worst. if it's late, get some sleep!
