Idk if I've mentioned it before, but Ryan's mom left him and Cynthia with Damion at a very early age, she found out she was pregnant with a third child and didn't want her (Artemis, the third child) to end up in the same situation

Why didn't she take her kids with her? Unfortunately, her fear of Damion was greater than her love for her kids (which she did/does love very much) and she knew that if she took all the kids, Damion would follow, so she didn't

She's genuinely a kind and good soul, but she's a naive goddess that knows nothing about Earth, and especially nothing about parenting
