Confetti and Elijah stood by Ivory who shook slightly," I-I don't know Dads... What if they don't like me?"

" Don't be silly!" Con smiled," That's my job!"

"If they hate you, so what?" Eli smiled at her sweetly," We still love you, and your voice is beautiful, Sweetie. They'll love you." Eli hugged her reassuringly.

Ivory nodded," Okay, I'll still do it." She smiled slightly.

" Then we'll get back in the audience. We're rooting for you dear!" Con kissed her cheek and dragged Eli off.

" Ewwwww! We're those your Dads?" One girl, Grace, had her hands on her hips," Talk about gross! They could have done better long ago and never had you as their shameful display." She scoffed.

Ivory glared," Don't say that."

" Whaaaat~? Am I hurting your feelings~?" She erupted in laughter.

Ivory growled," They may be weird but they're both my Daddies and you can't ever say anything about them that isn't true!"

Grace laughed," Whatever, I'm about to stomp you in this Talent Show and win GOLD!" She giggled and walked to the curtain before she was allowed to go on stage.

Ivory sighed and walked to her backpack that was on the ground backstage. She blinked when she saw a note in it. She fixed her glasses, and opened it.

"Dear Ivory,

Don't let Grace get to you. She's just a bully. But believe me when I say you can win this. No matter what you do. You'll captivate the crowd. You already have my Heart and your Dads'. Touch more of them tonight. You can do this. I believe in you!

Ivory blushed, and didn't recognize the handwriting. She smiled and put the note in her bag and quickly walked to the curtain, smiling.

Grace soon walked backstage and smiled when she walked past Ivory," Beat that, Freak."

Ivory growled under her breath," I will."

" Alright Ivory, you're on!" The Principal smiled and handed her a speech mic. Ivory quickly put it on and walked on stage. When she got to the middle she blinked at the silence. She gulped and shook, suddenly nervous.

" I-I'm here to show you who I am..." She sang softly and jumped when her voice cracked. She heard a few laughs and she looked over to see Con and Eli, who smiled at her. She took a deep breath and started to sing confidently," I'm here to show you who I am..."

She walked further to the edge of the stage, her voice getting louder," Throw off the veil, it's finally time."

Ivory smiled,"There's more to me than glitz and glam, oh-whoa..."

She looked to see Con and Eli smiling excitedly, and proudly. Ivory took another deep breath," And now I feel my stars align!! For I had believed what I was sold! I did all the things that I was told!"

She got louder," But all that has changed, and now I'm bold! Cause I know... That I am just a New Me! I make mistakes from time to time! But now I know the real me!!!And put my heart out on the li-i-ine!"

The room quickly got dark and the Spotlight was on her," And let the magic in my heart stay tru-u-ue~ Whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa~! And let the magic in my heart stay tru-u-ue~! Whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa~!"

She smiled wider and closed her eyes as she sang," Just like the magic inside of you~! And now I see those colors, Right before my eyes ! I hear my voice so clearly And I know that it is right!"

She stepped forward confidently, all the way to the edge, and started to tear up, but her voice wasn't affected," They thought I was weak, but I am strong!!! They sold me the world, but they were wrong! And now that I'm back, I still belong! Cause I know...."

She started to scream out, taking off the mic as she sang," That I am just a New Me! I make mistakes from time to time! But now I know the real me-- And put my heart out on the Li-i-ine!"

Her voice started to die down,"And let the magic in my heart stay tru-u-ue, Whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa~! And let the magic in my heart stay true, Whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa~!"

Her voice faded as she finished," Just like the magic inside of you~... Just like the magic inside of you..."

Slowly Ivory opened her eyes to see a shocked crowd. She gulped but jumped when they blew up with applause. Lots of them standing. She blushed and smiled shyly, putting her sleeves close to her face. She looked to see the Principal walking over with a normal Microphone," Well, it seems clear who the winner is. . . Ivory!" They handed Ivory a ribbon and a golden pin. She blushed and smiled, looking into the crowd.

A little later she walked out only to be crushed by a hug from Con and Eli. As she was dragged away from them she didn't notice the kid watching her smiling, with their hands in their pockets. They laughed softly and walked away.

-The next day-

Ivory shyly walked up to her locker and opened it. She quickly grabbed her bag and squeaked when something fell out. She picked it up to see an envelope. She opened it and smiled at what it said.

"Dear Ivory,

I was at the Talent show last night. You did amazing! I couldn't keep my eyes off you. It was like you were the only thing I saw. I wanted to throw what's deeper in your locker at you after you finished, but I chickened out. Sorry Ivory. I just hope that sometime soon you'll figure out who I am. But I said you'd win. And boy, did my heart melt at your voice. See you soon

Ivory blinked and reached into the top shelf and blushed when she pulled out a Rose. She looked around and smiled before stuffing the letter in her bag and putting the small flower in her hair before closing it and running off, out the school.

Again, the kid stood at the end of the hall smiling. They laughed softly and watched as Ivory happily ran home. They walked away, unseen and with their hands in their pockets.
