Q & A Answers
Yay, I finished these! I'm free of this!!! Now I have a ton of Refs to work on :')
Anyways, here's how I'm gonna write these. I'll have a picture with a short answer for each, then underneath I'll put more of an explanation to my answer. Anyways, here we go!
I used do do small sketches every once and a while at school for years; pretty much all of em were weird doodles and whatnot. I do say that, despite having been doing little sketches for ages, I've truly been working on art and whatnot for like the past year and a half (as of now), my reasoning being that I never had really wanted to do much of anything with art or never attempted to improve on anything before then.
It's when things bloom and are actually ALIVE (where I live most of the wild plants are succulents, cacti, or dead most of the time)
Out of all seriousness, I had no clue what to answer with 😅. The reason I ended up going with this is since I couldn't decide on a normal food, I wanted to answer with something else I liked the flavor of. Yes, it sounds a bit weird, but rose pedals are actually edible and taste pretty good (specifically the light pink ones; not red ones though, those aren't that good). I've also tried other edible plants like the seeds from pine cones or tea made from pine needles (pine trees are a surprisingly good food source; like literally every part of a pine tree besides the pine cones themselves is edible). It's fun to taste these things though since it's something you wouldn't normally try.
It's the first fandom I can recall truly being in and believe me, I was really into it XD. I used to write a lot so that's why there's so many (it's also the reason I came here in the first place). A lot of them (as you can probably guess from the titles) were fanfics that made the characters...suffer...in one way or another.
...
I was an evil seventh grader XD
Not much else to say here
(Also I had to answer this with my cat fursona I used to use; it was too perfect)
I suck at/rarely ever draw them! I badly need to get into the habit of at least attempting scenery every one in a while.
It doesn't snow here (hell it rarely ever rains) so I think snow is really fun! I'm sure my situation makes me enjoy it much more than any of y'all who spend your winters trapped indoors by a wall of snow.
Yes, I know, it's literally the exact same thing you hear from every artist ever. It's sounds cheesy, but practice really does make perfect (or better at least; no one is "perfect" at art). It helps you to improve, and the more you practice, the faster you get better. Also one thing I've seen people say is that they do draw a lot but they barely improve. The reason that happens is because they are drawing a lot but they aren't actually looking to make improvements. One thing I feel helps a person to improve is to find a flaw you want to fix in your art, weather it be something you don't think looks right or something you rarely ever draw, and look for a way to improve upon it. This can help someone to improve at a much faster rate than someone who sits around waiting for improvement to eventually come.
I really didn't know how to answer this. I mean I've taken inspiration from tons and tons of people, whether artists, show creators, voice actors, play writers, gamers, etc. I mean with artist there's waaaaay to many to list, but I guess some people who have inspired me would be Alex Hirsh (creator of Gravity Falls and a really cool, upbeat dude; I know cuz I've met him before and I got him to laugh at a horrible joke 🙃), the creator, Rebecca Sugar, and main cast of Steven Universe (once again, a bunch of upbeat and super friendly people; I've met them too and I swear they are so frickin friendly with their fans, taking the time to just talk with everyone they met), Lin Manuel Miranda (creator of the plays In the Heights and the Hamilton Musical; he's such a nice and caring guy with a brilliant mind for music and play writing), and Jacksepticeye (yes I watch him, he's just such a happy and friendly seeming guy who has a really positive outlook on life and seems to happy and flattered to see that people like him). So yeah, I guess I'm inspired by nerds XD
I assumed you were talking about my own characters at least, sorry if I misunderstood this!
You said anything counts and Gravity Falls is fictional so I'm going with this (I would've done a book or something but I don't really read too often so). I swear, even now, Gravity Falls is still my favorite show. The show just did an amazing job balancing humor (both for young and older audiences) and seriousness, as well as keeping at good pace and creating an amusing and intriguing story. The characters are really nice, the animation is beautiful, the soundtrack is really flipping good, and they give you the satisfaction of actually having a beginning, middle, and end. And even though the show ended almost two years ago, I still love it to death and haven't found a show I like better.
I don't really watch any anime (as far as I know at least; I think some shows I've watched are considered western anime but I don't think that counts here so I'm not counting those). Pokémon is my only exception since for some reason, it's really flippin fun to watch. The plots can be ridiculous and the characters can be idiots, but MAN is it a fun show to commentate over. I swear I'll just sit in a room by myself and commentate on almost everything that happens in the show since it's really fun to do.
So that's it for the Q & A thing! This was fun, but there was also a lack of motivation to finish these. I did though, so do not worry. They aren't the most beautiful drawing ever but all of them were super quick so good quality wasn't to be expected. Hopefully you guys enjoy this though!
