She was created by Sombra, though the elements of harmony, though he used dark magic, unfortunately it didn't go as he planned, when she was create she was the age of a foal (new born) and was born an alicorn this happened in the events of 'the beginning of the end' the mane 6 didn't not see her, as she was later found by some travelling earth ponies who raised her. When the ponies discovered her power they sent her to twilight, she was around 11 at this point, twilight took her in and taught her how to control her powers.
