This ending made me really sad I literally cried

CONTEXT:
After a 100 year journey to rewrite history with her partner Matsumoto, Vivy returns to her home stage, NiaLand, to face Diva as the countdown to humanity's destruction ticks to the final five minutes. After a fight, Vivy connects herself to the main stage and attempts to bring power back to it as the sound of "Flourite Eye's Song" (The song she wrote for Diva which started the war she so desperately tried to avoid) fills the earth. Vivy is forced to delete her memories, one by one forgetting her sisters, her partner, and her individuality until she gives a final bow and is rendered destroyed.

Literally started sobbing I wanted Vivy and Matsumoto to be besties again :(
