This is a gift for -Creamcloud-! She is an amazing writer and friend, so I think she really deserves this one. I drew some fanart for her ongoing Warriors fanfiction, Overgrown. I drew an incredibly wholesome scene from chapter 1, where Aspengaze takes his kits feather hunting! It's just adorable and as soon as I read about it, I knew I had to at least TRY and draw it.

Yes, I am very new to digital art, but I've improved pretty quickly, and I've gotta say, I'm proud of the way this turned out! It's not perfect, and I STILL suck at drawing eyes, but it could be a LOT worse.

So... here it is!

Ok, so there's a few things I like about this drawing, and a a few things I don't about it. For one thing, the feathers look terrible, I'll admit it, and the sky does seem a bit plain. But I do like the lighting, background, anatomy of the cats, and the overall look of the drawing. The shadows were done a bit poorly, but I'm still trying to work on things like lighting and shading. But I have to say, I think I'm improving!

I did the majority of this drawing in Krita, but the background (excluding the bush) was done in ibisPaintX. I love ibisPaintX a LOT more than Krita, and it has some wonderful brushes! The only problem is, I don't have a tablet, so I can only use it from my phone. If I could use it on my computer, I would have done the whole thing in ibisPaintX. In case you're wondering about how well I draw from my phone, _Softrain123_'s OC drawing was actually done on ibisPaintX from my phone! It was kind of challenging, but I managed it.
