Love

If this is offensive to you in any way, please leave quietly and forget all about it.

Hey.

I just came to discuss something.

True love, and true despair.

And what’s really scary in this world.

I know we’ve been coming up with these weird and admittedly epic fantasies of laboratories, hybrids, and thinking of the abstract concept of despair.

That’s all cool.

But there’s something worse than a maniacal despair-riddled guy that wants you to kill you. Some may say that it’s even scary. If you know what i’m talking about, good for you.

It’s love.

Love hurts. It hurts really badly. And the worst part is that we take it for granted. We don’t know what will happen if, say, that huge tree that always offered you shade and those little nuts that you would play with, got struck by lightning and was killed. Or your little pet iguana that you never really thought you paid attention to, died. You don’t realize that you love them until they’re gone. You didn’t realize that you loved that tree’s shade, that you’d gotten used to it making that little dent in the sidewalk. You didn’t realize that that iguana always would lovingly stare at you and be a good source of entertainment when you were tired.

You don’t realize the most important things until they’re gone.

But the all-time worst thing that would ever happen to anyone is for someone that they really realized they loved and cared for,

Someone that HAD to be in their life,

Someone that loved them back,

died.

If you think that labs and being shunned by society is the worst thing to happen to anyone, you’re probably right.

But I think that losing a close loved one is the worst thing ever.

When I say “love,” do you think of boyfriend/girlfriend relationships?

There’s so much more to love than that.

You can love an inanimate object, an animal, and even grow to care for things and people you never met.

The strongest love is the love of a family.

A family doesn’t have to be family of blood. It can be a family of friends, animals, you can be attached with a family bond to your house.

Now what happens when family

is gone?

What would you do if your best friend died in an earthquake?

What would you say if your parent called to you and said their last words?

What would you think if you watched everything you cared for crumble to dust?

Unfortunately, there are people who experience this.

Young children, in fact.

That is when they experience true despair.

The next chapter is dedicated to all of the children who have lost their parents,

and all of the parents who have lost their children,

and any person in the world who has lost a family member.

Thank you.
