The longest freaking Artistblock I've ever had...
M'k, so I've been struggling to find inspiration for some reason, which has caused me to to have a artist block for the past 2. Freaking. Weeks. It's not that my hands can't draw, it's that I haven't had any...well, inspiration. Anyway! In moments where I do have inspiration, it's when I'm feeling mystical, magical, and mythical. (And it definitely doesn't have anything to do with my bingeing of 'Once Upon A Time' recently ._.) So I did a Jackelope! One of the few mythical creatures that I wouldn't hesitate to keep as a pet. Doing her fur and rabbit-like leg structure was both different and fun.
And, no, I'm not telling you what I covered up with that blob of maroon :)
So, I drew this at my grandma's house while I was 'visiting' (Definition: hiding in the basement, listening to music)
Which is why it's in graphite (pencil lead) I felt very 'summer sweetheart' in that moment which is why she's in a very summery outfit, but when I went to draw the face, I accidentally ended up a very...well, attractive and sexy features. And while it didn't add up with what I was going for, it was too pretty to erase XD. So I went with it anyway, lol.
As you can tell, I was in a great mood! Nah, but really, I was repeatedly listening to a lot of sad music that made me contemplate life, and clearly, in carried over into my work. Who is this character? I have no idea! It was supposed to be Aurewind at first, but just as I was about to sketch out her hair, I realized that it wouldn't flow with the drawing. However, I had already inked in the scar that Aurewind has, so I had to come up with a character design on the spot. Oh, and btw, I'm sure you've noticed the grammatical error in the phrase, and I knew that there would be one no matter what I did. See, if I added an 's to the shirt, it would've read 'The Loudest One's' which wouldn't make sense individually, but the phrase would be grammatically correct. But if I had done what I ended up doing (not adding an 's) then the phrase itself would've had a grammatical error, but the shirt would make sense. See? I promise I'm not an idiot XD. Also, the T-shirt was a pain in the butt! I re-did the word Loudest about 4 times, trying to get it symmetrical! *deep breath* Also x2, sorry if the letters don't all look perfect, I tried.
And lastly, Delancey! In a different outfit (inner voice: 'Hmmm...her outfit design looks like a recolor of Emma Swan's from 'Once Upon A Time'...*squints suspiciously* Hmmm...') And her face is a little different for some reason. But her hair and Jacket are on point, if I do say so myself. But what infuriates me about the colors is that I COULDNT FIND MY TEAL MARKER. So I had to settle for the closest color I had, which was 'Turquoise Blue' >: C. It's a pretty color, but it's not what I wanted. I also wanted to incorporate a violet (cuz it looks surprisingly nice and calming color combinations) into her outfit but BECUASE I COULDNT FIND MY TEAL, it didn't look good with the turquoise. So I couldn't >: C #triggered
Anyway, I hope you all liked them! Tell me what you think!
