The 3 marker challenge...again.
So I decided to do the 3 marker challenge AGAIN, in order to redeem myself. The colors I had blindly chosen were Neutral Gray No. 6, R43 Bougainvillaea (pink), and BV04 Berry Blue. This is what I came up with. The Berry blue is a pretty dense blue, and the gray was pretty dark, so this pretty much screamed "Goth" to me. But the pink kinda through a wrench into that idea before I realized that the pink could make a great accent color. I sketched it up, then used the pink to give her a bit of blush on her elbows and fingers and stuff, and blended that in with a colorless blender (I'm not a cheater, that's apart of the rules) Clearly I was still in the mood for an Elsa-ish hair style, and added the pink ombré. I gave her some freckles so that she wouldn't look so plain, made her eyes SUPER pink to draw attention. And then combined my Berry Blue and my Pink to give her the only purple thing on the illustration, her bubble gum. Bam.
This is the 4th time I've drawn Crystal, my little Witch OC. This is my entry for mwilding 's little contest for getting a Mythical OC into one of her books. This also happens to be another 3 marker challenge. I was just so happy with how Brenda turned out, that I'm wanted to do it again. The colors I got were E13 Light Suntan, Y19 Napoli Yellow, and VO5 Azalea. The yellow and the purple I was pretty happy with, but I was not excited about the Light Suntan. Because Crystal doesn't have any natural colors, not her hair, not her outfit, and not her eyes. So the fact that I had to give her brown hair kinda bummed me out, but I stuck with it.
Sorry, I haven't uploaded in a week, it's just been extremely busy and so will the rest of June be. I hope you like it! Tell me what you think!
Also, I wanted to share this with you, cuz a I thought it was pretty and very weird. I had a dream...a REALLY nuts dream that I wanted to share with you...here it is, it's really long and confusing but bear with me:
Apparently I had enrolled in this really fancy, really good school. And after signing in for the day (yeah, for some reason you had to do that at the front desk) I then ran around the school trying to figure out where my class was because everything looked the same and it was a MASSIVE school. Skipping forward, we're all at a ridiculously big indoor pool for swimming class. This one girl gets into the pool, and for some reason, *my best friend's little sister* was now in this dream, and she started tracing the shape of a whale into the water with her finger. This one girl, who we're gonna call...Tracy, saw that *my best friend's little sister* had traced a whale, and started talking, in a pretty weird and slow voice, about how whales always liked to nibble her. (Apparently she's swam with whales before??) Then suddenly, I'm in Tracy's perspective, and I find that this girl is literally hallucinating that a small whale is nibbling her. Then the small whale disappears and she starts talking about how turtles liked to do the same thing. And low and behold, now there is a giant turtle, and then a giant crow with her in the water, trying to nibble her.
And everything just gets better.
Suddenly, because of this girl's crazy hallucinations, she looks back at the rest of the swim team, and find that we are all pirates on several large ships. Now, is where it gets nuts. Suddenly, Rocket from Guardians of the Galaxy, is her shipmate and once he sees that Tracy's in trouble, he throws her a rope and pulls her back to the boat. And when she looks back, the Turtle and Crow are both gone. Now we shift into a third person view, and we're now observing one of the Pirates on the ship, the Captain, I think. Everyone on the ship is either blackout drunk, or so drunk that they can't move. Other than the Captain, apparently. He's going for ONE more drink. He grabs a large bottle of rum, pops it open, and starts pouring it against the the side of the inner boat in order to make sure that it's still good (alcohol doesn't work that way, but okay, dream.) And all of a sudden, despite there being holes in the railing where the alcohol should've flowed out of, the rum remains in the boat. The Captain realizes this, and starts mumbling to himself in confusion.
Then the "camera/POV" zooms out as the pirate scene also slowly fades. Revealing that the reason why the rum wasn't pouring out of the holes, was because there were no holes. There was no pirate ship, there was no turtle or crow or whale, and there was no advanced school. Instead it revealed that the "pirate" was a dirty grown man, pouring rum against the wall of an abandoned hotel that he and the rest of the "pirates/swim team" were all stuck in this hotel for so long, that they had all gone crazy and they were now having hallucinations inside of hallucinations...
Yup....tell me about the craziest/coolest dream you've ever had.
