Experimentation: Success! (Project Jesse)

Ahhh I'm so proud! Like I said, this was all one big experiment. Hey, I was bored, okay?? Now, believe it or not, this was a combination of water color pencils, Copics, my Shuttle markers, my trusted white gel pen, and a crappy white crayola pencil. I did the pose and design, colored them in black, dark gray, and light gray, then--

Me to myself: 'Okay, a little context would be nice, Lex. Geez.'

'Alright, alright, fine.' This Jesse is supposed to be the inspired by the whole, "Two people being the physical representations of Darkness and Light/ Day and Night" and I swear that I did NOT steal this idea from NeverEndingFanfics. (Though, that was an excellent book. Which, fun fact, was the first Wattpad book I ever read!) I got this idea after watching an OC Animatic with that theme. M'k. Back to the drawing. I WAS going to use my oil pastels to get the galaxy pattern on the dress, but quickly realized that it wasn't going to work as well as I initially thought. And then like a sign from God, I found my brand new set of water color pencils that I got for my birthday. So I tried layering them over the dark gray-ness of her dress and they actually ended up looking better than the oil pastels. Unfortunately, they weren't as bright as I wished they'd be, so I ended up coloring over them with the crappy white crayola pencil, then added another layer of water colored pencils over that. Eventually, I was finally satisfied with the saturation. Then I used my gel pen to add all the pretty stars. Obviously, there was  lot more to the process, but that was all the interesting bits. I won't bore you. This time.

Anyways, I hope you like her! Tell me what you think! I mighhhhht to a Sun inspired Lukas, but don't count on it.
