Fun Fact: This is the first thing I've drawn this week that I'm actually happy with... :')

So if you couldn't tell, this well known comedy act, "Left Brain, Right Brain" by Bo Burnham. I would put the video at the top if it weren't for the fact that it s got quite a few adult jokes. I think my favorite part about this drawing, is Left's expression. It's just this clear picture of: "...what are you doing?" And you're asking yourself why I drew such a unique hair style and eyebrow piercing, is because I made an argument a few days ago about personal style diversity, and I wanted to sprinkle a little bit of that in there.

I wanted to make the difference of the left and right brain theme by giving them the same face, body type, and hair, to demonstrate that they're the same person, but also demonstrate that they're still very different. They're two halves of one whole. Not only did I make the difference apparent in their colors, but in their clothes, poses, and expressions. But the most important thing was to demonstrate that they are a visual representation of the BRAIN, without spelling it out or putting a brain somewhere on the page. So I did it by giving the little things surrounding them. Left has a fraction to represent math, a blue themed Rubik's cube to represent puzzle solving, little shapes to represent pattern, and a clock to obviously represent time. Meanwhile, I gave Right a heart to represent love, a flower to represent beauty, some ice cream to represent pleasure, and a game controller to represent fun.

Boom.
