Decent sketches I never cared to uploaded
So this first one is Aurewind. I don't think I need to explain who she is, I've drawn her enough times that you know by now. This is actually relatively odd, it was a sketch from 2 sketchbooks ago. Im pretty a sure that may favorite part about this sketch is either her hair, her expression, or the tears. I LOvE drawing tears :D
For some reason I really wanted to draw Pearl that day, because there was an entire page of bad pearl sketches. But amidst those awful sketches, I found a diamond in the rough-- this one. It's not GREAT, but it's good enough that I don't immediately cringe at it. I think my favorite part is probably her torso? I know that sounds a little weird, but idk. I like its triangular shape, it goes well with pearl's design style, and her bust is just only slightly there. Which I think is appropriate for Pearl.
We all saw this coming. What? You think that you were gonna get away with a collage of sketch uploads and not have a Keith be thrown in the mix?? Shame. I made the tips of his hair more wispy than it originally is, but I like it. I think his expression is on point too. And don't mind the things in the corners, they're nothing. MY BOII
And this-- this is Mercedes. Perhaps you've heard of a particular gem in literature, "The Count of Monte Cristo"? It's a well known book and movie, but you may not know that it also has a musical. Which is a darn shame! Monte Cristo is such a brilliant but under appreciated musical! I've been listening to the last song of the soundtrack for the past several days now 😳. If me and my sister had to put the musical in a sentence, then me and her agree that it's "A well deserved revenge + tragic love story." There are six songs from it that I'm particularly fond of. It's got outstanding storytelling, a wonderful sound track, incredibly catchy lyrics and amazing voices to accompany it. Basically, what I'm saying is...
IF YOU LIKE HAMILTON, THE GO. LISTEN. TO. IT.
And this is our main protagonist from the very same musical, Edmund Dantés. Yes, it's a man. And I want to clarify that this is mostly likely not what Dantés looks like! This was my interpretation that was based on InkPott's (on YouTube, go check her out also) MLP animatic series of Monte Cristo, with Rainbow Dash's character playing as Dantés. Which is why he has the hair. It's Dash's long curly mane that's slapped on a human. That took a lot of explanation 😅. I hope that all made sense. And though I'm no longer part of the MLP fandom, and haven't been for many years, InkPott's animatic series of it something I still continue to very much enjoy. Especially her most recent upload, which is the animatic for song I've been obsessed with. I put it at the top if you wanna watch and listen to it ^ don't worry, it's got no spoilers in it, despite it being the last song.
ANYWAY, I hope you like it. Forgive me for gushing over InkPotts and her incredible animatics for an amazing musical. Tell me what you think!
