Michael was a transfer student at West Riverside High School. They met in their English period, and the teacher assigned the two in a group to write a Literature essay, which he was not happy about it.

At that time, Michael was still coping with his depression and has tried to avoid speaking to anyone (except for Daniel, since Danny's the first person that Mike has talked to)

Fun fact: Luna was the top student at her English class, so that's why Mike called her "smart girl" (idk why that sounds hilarious to me 🤣)
