Hi this is sleep deprived Cavy coming at you live with a report from the Cavy Household! Today we are covering the hottest- and loudest!- news present: the smoke detectors! Here with us for an interview is popular resident Tucker the cat. What do you think about this issue, Sir Tucker?

And thank you Tucker! As he stated, the smoke detectors have been going off at random times for the past near two hours, and the well-known Cavy is now responsible for turning them off if they go off again. This issue is going on its third day of occurrence since the batteries were changed, originally thought to be due to a heater in Cavy's bedroom but proven to be otherwise sourced.

Smol resident Kami has been greatly affected by this disturbance, having gone into slight shock over it several times since yesterday. Cavy has been comforting her to the best of her ability.

We come to you now live from the car where Cavy and her family are now going to the orthodontist with Kami, for Cavy and her sibling not the guinea pig. Tucker has been left at home in hopes that it will be less stressful with the alarm than a long car ride and then sitting for a few hours. I need sleep. They hope that the appointment will be short and that they will not return to the blaring alarm.

Returning to you live from the orthodontist, where Cavy and her family sit while Kami sits in the car in an old cardboard carrier wrapped up in towels. Cavy is soon to be called up and hopes this will be fast but feels that it won't. She is just very tired at the moment since she has been up since five in the morning and was woken up at four as well. Here's the current count of times it's gone off:

We are now on the way home from the chiropractor with Kami, where Cavy has recurved new brackets and has been told that she will be in more pain over the next few days. I still want sleep but now I wanna cuddle. Kinda hungry too. We all hope the smoke detectors will be silent during our return. Cavy also got chokers yesterday and is very happy with them

The paw print one is supposedly one of those mood things, but only has "crabby" and "sad" for negative emotions so Cavy has little belief in it. The mood thing has been showing that Cavy is "flirty" since yesterday but we all know that's a lie, as she hasn't been around anyone but family since.

Live news update from the Cavy Household: the family (now with grandfather instead of mother) return to the smoke detectors blaring and Cavy heroically dashes inside to turn off the monstrosity. Since their return it has gone off at least three times, which is saying a lot because they have only been back twenty minutes. Kami is safely returned to her cage and a very spooked Tucker came out of hiding from under a bed where he no doubtedly spent much of his time. Cavy has taken the responsibility upon herself to be ready to drop everything, including her Mac n cheese, and run upstairs to turn off the detectors.

Okay, maybe I got a little bored in the downtime between alarms

True story though!! I really wanna invite a friend over and just hug and cuddle but I don't think putting them through this nonsense is worth it, I just want a hug and there's no way I can go back to sleep now ;w;

Also I'm working on a collab and art trade so I'VE BEEN DOING STUFF I SWEAR,,,
*EDIT* yeah I tried working on the art trade but that's not happening with the stupid smoke detectors going off at random times I'm really sorry
